So, for the claw machine, Su Wan had always had an obsession, even thinking that when she got a boyfriend in the future, she would definitely bring him to try it out. Therefore, today, she brought her boyfriend with the intention of redeeming herself!
"Which one do you want?" Fu Weiheng took out the game coins he had just exchanged and casually glanced at Su Wan.
"That one, that monkey," Su Wan pointed at the transparent barrier.
Fu Weiheng understood and inserted the coin.
What happened next was something Su Wan could never have anticipated.
Fu Weiheng's hands were not only skilled at playing the piano; he was also adept at grabbing toys from the claw machine. She watched as his agile hands manipulated the controller, twisting and moving it before calmly pressing the button. After a few attempts, he managed to grab ten toys for her.
Su Wan: "..."
Fu Weiheng glanced at the empty coin basket and then looked at Su Wan, who was struggling to hold all the toys in her arms. Without changing his expression, he asked, "Do you want more?"
Seeing the panicked look on the owner's face behind Fu Weiheng, Su Wan quickly shook her head. "No more, no more..."
So, Fu Weiheng went to the front desk to get a large paper bag to put the toys in. He held the bag in one hand and took her hand with the other as they exited the arcade.
Su Wan stared in shock at the bag of toys in his hand and couldn't help but exclaim, "Neil, is this really your first time? You're so amazing..." She and Qin Yan had tried for so many years without managing to grab even one...
Fu Weiheng raised an eyebrow nonchalantly. "If I can't even handle this thing well, what’s the point of playing the piano?"
Su Wan: "..."
That sounded a bit familiar...
Fu Weiheng raised his hand to check his watch and asked, "What do you want for dinner?"
Su Wan instinctively touched her wallet and pouted. "How about Magic?"
Fu Weiheng paused in surprise, "Didn’t you say you didn’t like that place?"
"No, not at all." Someone unconsciously wrinkled their nose, feeling a bit guilty. "The steak there is really delicious..."
Fu Weiheng smiled slightly, ruffled her hair, and readily agreed, "Let's go."
---
By the time they arrived at the Magic Club, the sky had completely darkened. A bright moon hung in the gray sky, with a few stars faintly visible through the thin mist.
The elevator went straight to the restaurant. Standing in front of the restaurant door, Su Wan unconsciously squeezed her palms together, feeling a bit nervous. Fu Weiheng noticed her sudden stop and asked with a smile, "Are you having second thoughts about eating?"
Su Wan looked up, paused for a moment, and quickly replied, "Of course I want to eat! I've already reserved the private room." With that, she left Fu Weiheng behind and walked towards the private room.
When they reached the entrance of the private room, Su Wan stared at the room number on the door but hesitated to push it open. Seeing her frozen at the door, Fu Weiheng stepped forward and placed his hand on top of her head, helplessly curling his lips. "Why aren’t you going in?"
The person in front turned sideways, lifted her eyes to stare at him, and suddenly asked, "Neil, do you know what day it is today?"
Fu Weiheng was taken aback. After a moment, he suddenly realized something. Just as he was about to speak, Su Wan had already pushed open the private room door. The first thing that caught his eye was the aluminum foil balloons spelling out "Neil" on the wall.
As the door swung wide open, Su Wan stepped inside with a few strides and stood under the balloons that read "Happy Birthday to Neil," smiling as she opened her arms and softly said, "Happy Birthday, Neil."
To enhance this romantic atmosphere, several dimly lit star lamps were added in the private room. Standing beneath those lights, Su Wan's radiant face was illuminated with a soft glow that cast deep and shallow shadows as she looked around.
Fu Weiheng paused with his hand on the door frame before slowly walking towards her. He leaned down and embraced her gently, his voice tender and warm. "Have you been preparing for a long time? Hmm?"
Due to their height difference, Su Wan had to tilt her neck back while wrapped in his arms. She held onto his waist and shook her head slightly. "The private room was arranged by Wei Jin; I was just responsible for bringing you here."
Suddenly, the private room door was closed behind them. Su Wan turned her head to see a small cart had been pushed to the table without her noticing. On it sat a mousse cake adorned with lit candles.
Su Wan's eyes brightened as she pulled Fu Weiheng over to the cake. "Neil, quickly blow out the candles and make a wish! The candles are about to go out!"
Fu Weiheng chuckled lightly and slowly leaned down to blow out the candles while softly saying, "Birthday wish..."
Before she could finish speaking, Su Wan covered his mouth and said, "No, no, you can't say your wish out loud. If you do, it won't come true. Just say it in your heart!"
Fu Weiheng looked at her gently and silently for a while before finally saying, "Alright."
Su Wan was very pleased as she opened her small handbag and took out a velvet box, slowly opening it.
Fu Weiheng's heart suddenly raced as he was about to reach out to cover the box, but Su Wan had already lifted a pair of exquisite sapphire cufflinks in front of him, smiling brightly as she said, "This is your birthday gift."
Fu Weiheng stared at the cufflinks for a long time, his gaze dimming slightly with disappointment. He chuckled softly as he took the box and said, "With that earlier display, I thought... you were going to propose to me."
A sudden blush crept across Su Wan's face, and after recalling for a moment, she found herself at a loss for words.
He had already taken off his coat and skillfully fastened the cufflinks. Then he gently lifted Su Wan's chin with his long fingers and kissed her tenderly.
Su Wan raised her hand to rest on his back, feeling the warmth of his tongue. She closed her eyes and enjoyed this lingering kiss immensely.
Finally, he slightly pulled away, his rich and husky voice mingling with heavy breaths as it reached Su Wan's ears.
"However, Guan Guan, it's better if I handle the proposal."
