The next afternoon, the small theater at Yan University was bustling with rehearsals for tonight's New Year's Day celebration.
The Music Academy of Yan Chuan University is one of the top art schools in the country, and the Extended Sound organization places great importance on the annual arts festival and the New Year's Day event. The music school at Yan University is filled with talent, offering a wide variety of performances. Tonight's celebration will feature not only classical music and folk songs but also drama, dance, and other diverse acts.
After yesterday's impromptu ensemble, Xu Chengyang's G Major Serenade was finally settled. Ye Yinhua, like Fu Weiheng, graduated with a master's degree from the Berlin Conservatory. During his undergraduate studies at the Berlin Music Academy, he was in the Orchestral Department and was a senior to Fu Weiheng, specializing in Viola. After completing his master's degree, he switched to conducting. With a solid foundation and exceptional skills, a simple quartet was no challenge for him, which eased Xu Chengyang's anxious heart.
Although Ye Yinhua could step in at the last minute for tonight's performance, he couldn't make it to the afternoon rehearsal. Therefore, the three of them casually walked on stage to get through the rehearsal.
With two hours left before the show started, Su Wan picked out a smoky blue strapless chiffon gown from her performance wardrobe and then went backstage to find a makeup artist.
While waiting in line, she had just started a game of Candy Crush when Fu Weiheng called.
Seeing a girl in front of her applying foundation, Su Wan thought it wouldn't be her turn so soon. She stood up, holding her gown with one hand as she answered the call in the hallway: "Neil, what's up?"
Her gentle and clear voice echoed in the empty hallway.
"What time does the performance start?" His steady voice came through the receiver.
"Six o'clock. Are you coming?"
"Yes. Which number are you performing?" Fu Weiheng glanced at his watch before continuing to check the schedule.
"The seventeenth." Su Wan fiddled with her gown and casually asked, "Are you coming with Mr. Ye?"
Fu Weiheng paused while flipping through the report, his calm tone revealing a hint of fluctuation: "Ivan?"
"Ah, I seem to have forgotten to tell you..." Su Wan suddenly realized and added, "We had some issues with our original plan, so I asked Miss Fu to find Mr. Ye to help out yesterday."
Fu Weiheng raised an eyebrow and pondered for a moment: "I'll set off in about half an hour."
"Okay."

Fu Residence
After hanging up the phone, Fu Weiheng closed the report in his hand, got up to change into a tailored black suit in the cloakroom, and then walked towards the rooms of Ye Yinhua and Fu Weijin.
The door was slightly ajar. Fu Weiheng knocked twice and pushed the door open.
Ye Yinhua was changing clothes in the cloakroom, preparing for tonight's performance. Just as he put on a white shirt and was tying his bow tie, he heard a noise from outside the door. Turning his head, he saw Fu Weiheng lazily leaning against the door frame, squinting at him.
Startled, Ye Yinhua paused in tying his bow tie and shot him a glance: "Are you a cat? You walk without making a sound?"
Fu Weiheng: "I knocked on the door."
"You're going to the Yan University New Year's Day party tonight, right?" Ye Yinhua glanced at his finely tailored suit and continued tying his bow tie. "Su Wan should have told you that I'm stepping in to help out, but my car was taken by Wei Jin. I'm not used to driving the other cars in the garage, so since you're passing by..."
Ye Yinhua had not finished her sentence when Fu Weiheng interrupted in a deep voice, "You stay here, let me borrow the violin."
With that, he turned and walked over to the low cabinet, casually taking the old violin case before leaving through the door.
Ye Yinhua: "..."
At six o'clock, the gala officially began.
The theater was packed, and two elegantly dressed hosts walked onto the stage one after the other. They briefly read the opening remarks before starting to announce the performances, marking the beginning of the show.
Su Wan, Xu Chengyang, and Bridge were already made up and were sitting in the lounge waiting for Ye Yinhua to arrive. Xu Chengyang glanced at the time, feeling a bit anxious. "Guan Guan, Mr. Ye won't leave us hanging, will he?"
Su Wan tried tuning the violin again and confidently replied, "No way. Mr. Ye came with Fu Weiheng; they should be on their way now. I'll send a WeChat message to check where they are."
Xu Chengyang nodded eagerly in agreement.
So Su Wan took out her phone and opened WeChat, sending a message to Fu Weiheng:
Swan: Neil, have you guys arrived?
The reply came almost instantly.
Neil: Parking Lot
Su Wan was taken aback, quickly putting down her instrument and lifting her skirt as she hurried to the main entrance to greet.
Just as she reached the entrance of the Theater, she saw that familiar tall figure walking towards her with a violin case in hand.
Su Wan looked at him in confusion, wondering why only Fu Weiheng was there. Where was Mr. Ye?
Unable to wait, she ran up to Fu Weiheng and peered behind him again, still seeing no one. With a puzzled expression, she asked him, "Where is Mr. Ye?"
Fu Weiheng lowered his gaze to her exquisitely made-up face and her glamorous outfit, noticing the subtle hint of cleavage. His heart skipped a beat, but his expression remained calm: "He had something come up last minute and couldn't make it."
Su Wan was shocked: "Wha... what?"
Fu Weiheng replied, "I'm here in his place."
Su Wan was skeptical: "You... you can play the viola?"
Fu Weiheng frowned, casting her a dismissive glance before coldly snorting and saying, "Hah, your man can do anything."
Su Wan: "..."
