Why can't we dig two graves when someone in the family passes away? 0

What are the consequences of digging two graves? 0

This happened during the summer vacation when I was eight years old, and I went to my grandmother's house in the countryside. 0

My grandmother had a distant cousin who passed away, and since they had a close relationship, my grandmother wanted to attend the funeral. 0

Because it was quite far away, we had to take a bus. I insisted on going with my grandmother. 0

After more than an hour on the bus, we arrived at my grandmother's cousin's home. 0

Many people had come to pay their respects, and there was a lot of delicious food prepared. I enjoyed the food while listening to the adults talk about the burial arrangements. 0

It seemed that my grandmother's cousin had passed away unexpectedly, and her family hadn't made any preparations beforehand; they borrowed a coffin from someone else. They were discussing digging the grave the next day, and her family had two sons who said they had found someone to dig the grave. 0

Early the next morning, a group of them went to the burial site. I had never experienced anything like this before and was very curious, so I begged my grandmother to take me along. 0

The burial site was on a desolate hill outside the village. In rural areas, each family has a plot of land for their deceased relatives to be buried in their Ancestral Grave. 0

When we arrived at the grave site, everyone started getting busy. 0

After watching for a while and finding it uninteresting, I ran off to play. While I was playing near a tombstone, I suddenly heard the people digging say they had hit a large rock. 0

Curious about the commotion, I ran over. A few people looked troubled as they stood over what they had dug; when they reached over a meter deep, a huge boulder was exposed at the bottom of the grave pit. 0

They couldn't dig any further and decided to explain the situation to the Host. 0

The old man of the Host frowned after looking around and said that if it really didn't work out, they could dig another grave nearby. 0

One of the Grave Pit workers, who was used to this kind of work, mentioned that someone in his family had just died, and they were quite anxious about the funeral. However, they couldn't just leave the body at home without burying it; they would have to dig a new grave. 0

The two men from the Grave Pit felt a bit troubled, but they had already said what needed to be said. If the Host didn't mind, then they would go ahead and dig another one. 0

After discussing it, they dug another grave nearby, and then proceeded with the Funeral, condolences, and a banquet. 0

Perhaps due to the urgency and lack of preparation, the family seemed particularly busy, even leaving the first grave they dug unfilled. 0

My grandmother and I stayed there for three days, only returning home after the burial. 0

Just when we thought it was over, unexpectedly, more than a week later, someone from my grandmother's cousin's family came to report another death. 0

I recognized the visitor; he was the eldest son of my grandmother's cousin. 0

My grandmother let him in, poured him some water, and asked what had happened. 0

The eldest son took a sip of water and tearfully recounted what had transpired since he left his home. It turned out that his family's Second Son had been working with the village construction team, pushing cement and transporting sand. 0

That day, while he was pushing a cart of cement under a freshly built wall, suddenly the wall collapsed behind him and fell directly on top of him. 0

When his coworkers pulled him out from under the bricks, he was already crushed. 0

Just days after the old lady's death, another son had died in that household. 0

According to local customs, two funerals cannot be held within a hundred days, so the second brother's coffin could not be brought home. 0

After some discussion, it was decided to temporarily place the coffin at the Eldest Family's residence. 0

However, the Eldest Daughter-in-Law felt that having a coffin in their home was very inauspicious and refused to allow it into the yard. With the eldest son and mother both deceased, the younger brother was already feeling deeply distressed, and the Sister-in-law's attitude only intensified the situation. 0

The couple argued about this matter. Despite various pleas, the wife remained adamant about not allowing the coffin in their yard. Yet, it couldn't be left on the street either. 0

After much back and forth, the wife finally relented and agreed to place the coffin in the backyard. 0

With no other options, the eldest son had no choice but to have people move the coffin to the backyard. Their backyard was a pigpen; although he was reluctant, there was no better solution, so they placed the coffin there. 0

Early the next morning, the Eldest Daughter-in-Law went to feed the pigs in the backyard. 0

As she turned around a corner, she noticed that all the pigs that were supposed to be in their pen had escaped. Confused, she wondered how they got out since the gate had been securely closed. 0

Not thinking much of it, she waved her hands to herd the pigs back into the yard. 0

But as she reached the backyard, she was startled to see that their pigs had knocked over the coffin, causing the second brother's body to roll onto the ground, seemingly having been nibbled by the pigs. 0

Her scream startled the eldest son inside the house. He rushed to the backyard and saw his brother's body on the ground, unrecognizable. He cried out in despair, lamenting that he was sorry for leaving his brother there. 0

Instead of helping, his wife looked disgusted and scolded him to quickly find something to cover it up because it was too revolting to look at. 0

This remark infuriated him further, and he turned around to curse at his wife. The Eldest Daughter-in-Law retaliated with harsh words, saying that their family must have committed some terrible sins for one person after another to die and warned her not to blame her for it. 0

This made the eldest daughter-in-law even angrier. She quickly stood up and slapped her husband hard. 0

Feeling wronged, she spat out "Divorce" and stormed off. She went back to her room, packed a few clothes, and prepared to return to her parents' home. 0

On her way to the railway crossing outside the village, she ran into a neighbor. Since they usually got along well, the neighbor asked where she was angrily headed. 0

The eldest daughter-in-law was in no mood to stop and simply said "Go to hell" as she walked past the neighbor. 0

The neighbor reached out, trying to stop her because there was a train approaching on the tracks ahead, and there was no time left. 0

But the eldest daughter-in-law seemed not to hear and stepped onto the tracks, ultimately getting caught under the wheels of the train, leaving her unrecognizable. 0

The son of my grandmother's cousin choked back tears as he recounted the series of events to my grandmother, hoping she would come over to help with the aftermath. 0

Since the two families had a good relationship, my grandmother told him to go back first while she arranged things at home before joining him. 0

This incident had a significant impact on me. 0

Later, I read in a novel that when someone dies, you cannot dig two graves. Their family dug an extra grave and buried their son there. 0

As for the eldest daughter-in-law, I think it was a form of revenge from the second son! 0
