However, my first love abandoned me and got together with a rich second-generation heir. This incident hit me hard, and I fell into a state of despair. Until I met Mrs. Xue. She looked very much like my first love, and her personality was quite similar as well. Therefore, I devoted myself to her, wanting to make up for the regrets my first love had caused me. To ensure she lived a happy life, I worked tirelessly and made an effort to earn money. After we got married, I bought her a house and a car. Her mother often came to stay with us, and I had no objections at all. After all, the house was in my name, so even if they had any intentions, they couldn't take my house away.
May 18th is our sixth wedding anniversary. I decided to give her a surprise. I invited many friends and family from both work and home, as well as our college classmates. I wanted to recreate the scene of my proposal back then to surprise her. On one hand, I wanted to give her an unforgettable anniversary; on the other hand, I wanted to create opportunities for them to reveal their true colors and gather solid evidence.
In two days, it would be our anniversary. I pretended to go on a business trip and left home. Before leaving, I specifically reminded Mrs. Xue: "Honey, this business trip will take a long time. You mustn't neglect your meals just because I'm not home. Remember to eat on time every day; you can't lose weight, okay?"
Mrs. Xue clung to my arm, looking dejected as she said, "Honey... you used to come home early and leave late on business trips. Why is this one going to take so long?"
I sighed, "This time I'm going out of town, so it will take longer."
Mrs. Xue looked at me with a pitiful expression, her eyes filled with tears. I suppressed the disgust I felt inside and gently stroked her hair, smiling as I said, "Silly, I'll think of you every day."
Mrs. Xue pouted and responded unhappily with a soft "hmph."
After I left, Mrs. Xue and the Adopted Son would probably be quite happy. After all, they could openly express their affection for each other.
While handling work matters, I also made arrangements for our wedding anniversary. I invited a college classmate to be our emcee and asked many friends and family to join us. On our anniversary, in front of all our loved ones, I planned to propose to Mrs. Xue again.
I booked a banquet at a hotel and arranged for fireworks in the square. I wanted everyone to see just how much I loved Mrs. Xue. I also hoped that when Mrs. Xue and the Adopted Son were engaged in their sordid activities, they would remember how deeply I loved them.
On the day of our anniversary, I returned home early. I had sent my Father-in-law and Mother-in-law away but then called them back, saying I wanted to surprise Mrs. Xue. They indeed returned, but this surprise was about to turn into a shock.
I had a group of friends and family sneak into the room, intending to capture an embarrassing scene involving Mrs. Xue and the Adopted Son. However, what they saw was something entirely unexpected!
A series of moans echoed from the room, leaving everyone stunned.
The older women began to whisper among themselves, "Oh my, what are they doing in there?"
"I don't know... but from the sound of it... it seems like they're doing that kind of thing..."
"No way? Today is Mr. Xue and Anran's wedding anniversary, what is Anran doing?"
"Mr. Xue loves Anran so much, how could she do something like this on such a day?"
