Jiang Yu and Meng Shu walked side by side on the sidewalk, the streetlights casting long shadows behind them. They spoke softly, both wearing happy smiles.
"Jiang Yu, have you really decided to hide your true identity?" Meng Shu asked, a hint of concern in her voice.
"I know it's selfish and unfair of me," Jiang Yu replied, a touch of helplessness in his tone.
"But why?" Meng Shu questioned, still unable to understand why Jiang Yu would conceal this from her.
"Because my identity is dangerous, and I don't want to involve you in it," Jiang Yu said, his eyes filled with determination. He knew he could not let Meng Shu get hurt.
"But doing this only makes me worry about you more," Meng Shu said, her eyes full of concern.
"I know, I know," Jiang Yu replied. After a moment of silence, he added, "I promise you, I will find a way to let you know my true identity and how much I love you."
Meng Shu looked at Jiang Yu and saw the sincerity in his eyes. She knew he wasn't deceiving her, and her worries began to fade away.
"I believe you, Jiang Yu," Meng Shu said, gripping his hand tightly. She trusted that their love could overcome any obstacles.
"Thank you, Meng Shu," Jiang Yu said gently placing her hand on his chest, feeling her warmth. He knew he had the most beautiful thing in the world.
They continued walking down the street, their figures growing distant, their love becoming stronger, and their future brighter.
Jiang Yu and Meng Shu entered a cinema where they bought two tickets and sat down to watch a romantic film. The theater was dark except for the images on the screen and the sounds coming from the speakers.
"Jiang Yu, are you really not going to tell me your true identity?" Meng Shu asked with curiosity in her voice.
"Now is not the time, Meng Shu," Jiang Yu replied with a hint of helplessness.
"But I really want to know who you are," Meng Shu said, her eyes filled with curiosity.
"I promise you that when the time is right, I will tell you everything," Jiang Yu said as he gently held Meng Shu's hand, feeling her warmth and heartbeat.
"Okay, I'll wait for you," Meng Shu said as she rested her head on Jiang Yu's shoulder, enjoying his warmth and presence.
They quietly watched the movie; the romantic stories and sweet scenes warmed their hearts.
After the film ended, they walked out of the cinema into the night where stars twinkled in the sky and streetlights flickered along the bustling streets. They felt the city's nightlife and each other's company.
"Jiang Yu, where should we go?" Meng Shu asked with anticipation in her voice.
"Where do you want to go?" Jiang Yu replied, looking into Meng Shu's eyes as he awaited her answer.
"I want to go somewhere quiet, a place just for the two of us," Meng Shu said shyly.
"I know a place," Jiang Yu said as he led Meng Shu into the night.
They arrived at a secluded park, where few people were present. Only a few streetlights cast dim light, and the branches swayed gently in the night breeze, filling the air with the fragrance of flowers and grass. They sat side by side on a park bench, quietly enjoying the tranquility of the night.
"Jiang Yu, thank you," Meng Shu said, her tone filled with gratitude.
"Thank you for being in my life," Jiang Yu replied, looking into Meng Shu's eyes, his gaze filled with affection.
They sat in silence, feeling each other's warmth, love, and heartbeats, enveloped by the stillness of the night.
They did not know what the future would hold, but they knew they would always be together.
"Meng Shu, I love you," Jiang Yu said, his voice deep and gentle.
"Jiang Yu, I love you too," Meng Shu responded, her voice sweet and melodious.
They embraced tightly, feeling each other's love and the serenity of the night. In each other's arms, they experienced one of the most beautiful moments of their lives.
What Meng Shu did not know was that Jiang Yu was making his final confession to her...
