He really knows how to make excuses for himself.
“Xiao Han, we’re done.”
“You took my money and went traveling with your Little Green Plum; I’m not going to accompany you.”
Xiao Han looked coldly at me, hesitating to speak. “Anyway, she has her reasons, and you are my girlfriend. I hope you can understand me.”
“ An'an, I’m alone in a strange place, not familiar with the surroundings. I can’t eat well or sleep well, and I often suffer from insomnia.”
I interrupted him, “So you came to my doorstep while sick, trying to pass the virus to me, right?”
“I’m not sick. If you don’t want to see me, you don’t have to slander me with such things.”
Seeing him argue back with a flushed face, I said coldly, “Do you know that I have a fever right now?”
Xiao Han replied in a cold tone, “Don’t lie to me; how could you possibly have a fever?”
“Even if I do have a fever, it’s because of your poor health.”
I didn’t want to waste any more words with him and directly sent him all the intimate photos and messages Xu Ya had sent me.
Xiao Han finally fell silent.
I blocked him again.
Xiao Han was outside frantically ringing the doorbell.
I returned to my room and closed the door, ignoring him.
I quietly watched him throw a tantrum outside.
He had never been this agitated in front of me before.
He was used to me being nice to him.
He couldn’t stand being shut out by me.
But what does that have to do with me?
I also found it strange; how did I not realize before that he was just an average guy?
I looked at myself and didn’t seem like someone who would be infatuated with love!
He gritted his teeth, each word a warning: "Liu An'an, I advise you not to do anything you'll regret."
"Ugh, the bossy literature without any coins seems like it has been covered for 80 days with kitchen waste, so disappointing."
Seeing that I didn't respond, he turned away in anger.
Late at night, I was startled awake by a rustling sound.
I sat up nervously and felt for the small stun gun hidden under my pillow.
I pressed the silent button to call security and quietly sent a text alerting them.
Then, I tiptoed to find the source of the noise.
In the living room, a tall shadow was rummaging through my things.
I swallowed hard in anxiety.
My home was being robbed.
But I had locked the door.
To ventilate, one window on the balcony was left open.
I guessed that the thief had climbed in from there.
I calculated how long it would take for security to arrive, ready to open the door for them at any moment.
But that shadow had excellent hearing; as soon as the doorbell rang, he stood up and walked toward the door.
He was getting closer and closer to me, and in the darkness, I felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity with his blurred outline.
As he approached, I tightened my grip on the stun gun.
When we were only a few steps apart, the doorbell rang again.
He flinched in surprise.
Seizing the opportunity, I struck him with the stun gun.
He let out a muffled grunt and fell to the ground.
Security rushed in and pinned him down.
I turned on the lights.
Xiao Han covered the spot where he had been shocked, curling up in pain. " An'an, it's me."
I looked at him coldly as the security guard lifted him up. He was in a sorry state, covered in dirt, with sweat and dust mixed all over his face and body.
"I have nothing to discuss with you," I signaled for the security guard to throw him out.
He protested unwillingly, "Liu An'an, you can't treat me like this."
"I was really blind back then; how could I have fallen for you!"
"You only have good luck and a bit of money at home. What else do you have besides money?"
The security guard threw him out, perhaps a bit too forcefully, causing him to stumble and fall to the ground.
After a while, he managed to get up and rushed to the door, banging on the security door with all his might.
