At this moment, I felt death was so close. The two eyeballs of "Songzi" stared at me intently, cold and merciless like a beast, resembling a messenger from hell, sending chills down my spine!
Suddenly, there was a faint sound and vibration, and the ground beneath my feet began to drop, as if the ice underfoot had shattered in an instant, creating a sense of unease and helplessness!
Everyone in the cave, including the bodies and snakes, lost their balance and fell directly downward! After a moment of shock and confusion came immense hope and joy— the trap was broken!
"Run!" Thanks to the dead bodies and snakes acting as cushions, I felt no impact at all. Almost at the moment of landing, I jumped up. It can only be said that in times of crisis, one’s latent energy is often unleashed! We gathered all our strength and ran wildly without looking back. It was pitch black; we could see nothing and had to rely on our instincts. Even so, I was still afraid of accidentally crashing into a wall; that would be disastrous.

The sound of heavy breathing was right beside me, indicating that the three of us had not scattered. After running for a while, our throats were dry. We had to stop to rest for a moment. Listening carefully, there were no strange sounds behind us. My eyes gradually adapted to the darkness; everything appeared hazy and indistinct.
The smell of ** lingered in the air; it was the scent from our bodies, mixed with that of snakes and corpses, which was not easily dissipated. We could only endure it.
Clang—
In the silence, a faint sound suddenly echoed from ahead. My heart skipped a beat as I felt someone grab my sleeve. I thought it was Sudai and didn’t pay much attention at first. The sound grew closer, leaving no room for distraction.
I forced myself to stay calm, but an ominous feeling intensified.
I heard Wu Xiaoshou's weak voice say, "Something is coming this way."
"Yeah." I nodded; it was the sound of footsteps, running! Could it be Song A? Just as I was speculating, flames flickered in the next moment. Seizing this opportunity, I quickly scanned my surroundings. This place was a small tomb chamber with walls covered in cracks that looked like they might collapse at any moment, creating an unsettling atmosphere. There were no extra burial items around; occasionally one or two scattered remnants were severely damaged. Coffins lay scattered on the ground, but I did not see any bodies!
I just took a glance when I heard heavy breathing. Startled, I quickly looked over and saw a man in the darkness, holding a torch in one hand and a large axe in the other, covered in wounds and looking extremely disheveled, running towards us at full speed.
"It's Song A!" I exclaimed with joy, but Song A froze upon seeing the three of us and shouted while waving the torch, "Run! Run!"
Run? I was a bit troubled. "Where do we run to?" Behind us were the snake swarm and a pile of Corpse!
"Anywhere is fine, just get out of here and find a place to hide!" Song A didn't explain much. He glanced back while swinging his sharp machete and dashed past me. A sudden chill swept by, causing me to shiver as I hurried to follow him.
"What exactly is chasing us? What are we hiding from—" Wu Xiaoshou hadn't finished speaking when he let out a scream.
I turned around and immediately understood what was happening; my feet felt like they were coated in oil as I ran faster. The thing following Song A wasn't human but a tattered figure reeking of decay—it was a Zombie of the Azure Wind Antelope! Also known as Zongzi in the words of Tomb Raider! Even more bizarrely, it was covered in Black Fur!
What the hell! So there really are living Zongzi! Damn it, if you're dead, just stay put in your coffin instead of running around! You almost scared me to death!
Seeing that the three of them had slipped into a tomb chamber, I rushed over but unexpectedly collided with Song A at the entrance. I stumbled several steps but managed not to fall and quickly asked him what was wrong.
"There’s a damn coffin inside!" Song A said as he tried to run back outside. I grabbed his arm and said, "No way! That Zongzi is already chasing us!" As I spoke, I glanced back and saw that the Zongzi had spotted us; its eyes seemed to flash with malice as it charged towards us.
"Fuck it! Let's get inside first!" Song A also saw the Zongzi, so we four retreated into the tomb chamber. Once inside, we indeed saw a large black coffin placed in the center of the room. With the Zongzi closing in fast, I was sweating profusely and said, "How about we block the door with the coffin?"
I was truly at my wit's end to suggest that, but unexpectedly, Sudai agreed, saying, "That's all we can do for now!"
Wu Xiaoshou seemed to want to do the same but still expressed fear as he said, "Aren't you worried that whatever's inside the coffin will rise too?"
"There's no point in worrying too much, let's just take our chances!" Song A said as he placed the torch on the ground. Then the four of us exerted a great deal of effort to push the coffin to the entrance. Almost simultaneously, the coffin was struck hard, nearly toppling over. I quickly steadied it, and fortunately, with four of us against one, not only did we manage to upright the coffin, but we also blocked the entrance completely.
However, Zongzi continued its relentless assault, banging against the coffin with a "thud thud thud." Just when it seemed we could no longer hold out, Zongzi finally stopped. Aside from our heartbeats, there was no other sound.
Perhaps it had left, or perhaps it was waiting for us to come out. Regardless, I had lost all my strength and slumped against the wall.
"Well, now we're stuck. Zongzi can't get in, and we can't get out. If something unfortunate happens, we'll all be done for today!" Wu Xiaoshou also slumped down on the ground, looking defeated.
Song A reignited the torch, instantly illuminating the tomb chamber. The ground was cold, and after all that intense activity, my body ached all over. Clearly, physical labor is not suited for me!
After calming down for a moment, I asked irritably, "Where did you three go? How could you leave me behind?"
Song A was taken aback and frowned as he replied unhappily, "I want to ask the same thing! I was talking just fine when I turned around and you three had vanished!"
"This can't be blamed on me!" Wuma You perked up at this and defended himself, "Who knew those snakes were so powerful? They dragged Wizard Grandpa away without anyone noticing! And why did they only drag me and Sudai? Your skins aren't that much tougher than ours!" implying that his skin was more delicate.
You get used to it; I've seen many shameless people before. Ahem...
"Yeah," Sudai nodded, her face filled with confusion. "Those snakes really were stealthy; even I didn't notice them approaching."
As soon as Sudai finished speaking, Wu Xiaoshou eagerly asked me, "You already know about our situation, right? What about Feng Zi? What's going on between you and Song A?"
