I found Alfred's address, a two-story house located in the suburbs. A nameplate bearing Alfred's name hung on the door, simple yet carrying a sense of age. I took a deep breath and gently pressed the doorbell.
"Hello, is this Mr. Alfred?" I asked politely.
The door opened quickly, revealing an elderly man with graying hair standing at the entrance. He had a kind face, etched with the marks of time.
"Who are you?" he asked softly.
"I am a writer; my name is Lin Wen. I am writing a book about the Titanic and would like to learn some details about that incident from you," I explained.
