Bing Tianyi squeezed into the elevator, wishing he could just disappear like air.
In his anger, Bing Tianyi dialed Ziyan's number.
As soon as the call connected, Bing Tianyi shouted furiously, "You little brat, don't think that just because I've had a crush on you for so long I won't dare to confront you. You need to give me an explanation for what happened last night, or I'll come after your whole family!"
Despite saying this, Bing Tianyi really didn't have the guts to go after anyone.
"Wow, I didn't expect our Brother Tianyi to be so fired up! I've already recorded what you just said. If you think you're threatening me, I'll make sure you meet with my lawyer within an hour, believe it or not?" Ziyan replied in a clear and confident tone.
Wang Ziyan's father, Wang Debiao, was the richest tycoon in the city. He started in the casino business and later transitioned into real estate, believing that any means of coercion or persuasion was perfectly acceptable. Over time, Ziyan had naturally developed a similar mindset.
"I was just joking with you! Thanks to you last night, I finally had the courage to confess to Mei Fenfeng."
"Good to hear! So tell me, how are you going to thank me?" Ziyan teased on the other end of the line.
"Thank your mother! Thank your father's ancestors!" Bing Tianyi thought to himself, but all he could say was with a forced smile, "How about I treat you to drinks at my wedding with Mei Fenfeng?"
"That sounds good! I'll wish you both happiness in advance." After saying this, Ziyan hung up the phone.
Listening to the beeping sound on the other end, Bing Tianyi slumped down in the elevator. The feeling of failure washed over him once again!
Disaster does not come alone. As Bing Tianyi stepped out of the elevator and onto the first floor, he was greeted by the sight of hundreds of people outside. However, their gazes were not directed at him; instead, they were looking up at the rooftop.
A sense of foreboding quickly arose within him.
He sprang into action, rushing out with the speed he had during his university sprinting days, pushing his way into the crowd. He looked up and saw Mei Fenfeng standing at the edge of the building's roof, tears streaming down her face.
At six stories high, a jump from there would surely result in a devastating fall!
“Bing Tianyi, come out! I know you haven't left! I have something to say to you!” Mei Fenfeng shouted desperately.
Bing Tianyi stood there, bewildered, continuing to stare blankly.
“If you don’t come out now, I’ll jump right here to show you!” Mei Fenfeng yelled again as she took another step forward on the rooftop.
Bing Tianyi’s heart sank, and he couldn’t help but shout back, “Mei Fenfeng, I’m here! Can’t we sit down and talk about this? Please come down!”
As soon as he said this, people around him shot him strange looks. The two guys standing next to him leaned in and whispered, “Dude, Mei Fenfeng? That’s intense!”
Bing Tianyi ignored their comments, his eyes fixed on Mei Fenfeng on the rooftop, fearing that she might accidentally fall and become a tragic mess.
“Alright then, promise me in front of them that you’ll marry me and take responsibility for what you did last night!” Mei Fenfeng seemed determined this time, shouting from the rooftop without a care.
In order to avoid legal trouble and prevent this kind-hearted girl from leaving the world in such a manner, Bing Tianyi sighed deeply and replied softly, “Fine, I promise you. Is that enough?”
"No, I didn't hear you!" Mei Fenfeng shouted excitedly, her expression unchanged.
"I'll marry you, and I take responsibility for my actions last night!" Bing Tianyi, filled with despair, closed his eyes and shouted loudly from the crowd.
With that one sentence, the previously boiling crowd suddenly fell silent. It was as if a large block of ice had been thrown into a pot of boiling water.
However, it wasn't long before thunderous applause erupted from the quiet crowd. The few young men who had been speaking earlier quickly surrounded Bing Tianyi, saying, "Brother, you really have taste! We admire you greatly!"
Bing Tianyi turned around and glared fiercely at them before raising his head to continue shouting at Mei Fenfeng, "Mei Fenfeng, be careful; you can come down now, right?"
"Bing Tianyi, I love you! I actually fell in love with you the first time I saw you in high school, but I was worried that you wouldn't like me!" Mei Fenfeng declared passionately, her face full of excitement as she confessed her feelings to Bing Tianyi.
Although Bing Tianyi believed in pure love in this world, he often envied couples who came together without regard for looks. But here was Mei Fenfeng, a girl with a full face of hair and a huge mole at the corner of her mouth that had two shiny black hairs growing from it!
Oh my God, is this what life is? Is this what fate has arranged? Is this what destiny means?
Bing Tianyi struggled internally but maintained a forced smile on his face as he said to Mei Fenfeng on the rooftop, "Alright, I understand. Now hurry up..."
Before he could finish his sentence, an unexpected incident occurred as Mei Fenfeng turned around!
