Bing Tianyi's Father frowned even more upon hearing this. They had only been here for a month, and prior to that, they had made an agreement with the landlord that the rent would be paid monthly and could not be increased within six months.
Now, with his son saying such things, it seemed utterly absurd to him.
So after Bing Tianyi finished speaking, he did not respond at all, merely shaking his head with a bitter smile.
Soon, the police arrived, and their business was naturally put on hold. By the time everything was settled, it was already past five in the afternoon. As Bing Tianyi's Father was preparing to take his wife to the night market again, his phone suddenly rang.
Taking out his phone, when Bing Tianyi's Father saw the number displayed on the screen, he was taken aback. Could it be that what his son mentioned was really about to happen?
Thinking this, he quickly answered the call. On the other end, Landlady sounded somewhat awkward as she said, "Is this Old Bing? There are some things I really don’t know how to tell you. But if I don’t say anything, we really have no choice here..."
The entire conversation lasted less than three minutes. After hanging up, Bing Tianyi's Father did not appear anxious about the rent increase mentioned during the call. Instead, he turned around excitedly and said to his wife with a big smile, "Honey, do you know what they just said on the phone?"
"Seeing you so happy, did the landlord say they would reduce our rent for a while?" Bing Tianyi's Mother asked with a smile.
"No, do you remember what our son said in front of the stall today?"
"What was it?" Bing Tianyi's Mother clearly hadn’t taken her son's words seriously and looked at her husband curiously.
"Our son mentioned that the landlord wants to raise the rent; do you remember?" Bing Tianyi's Father said emphatically as he looked at his wife.
"What? Is the rent really going to increase? We had an agreement! The rent shouldn't go up within six months!" Bing Tianyi's Mother was clearly very dissatisfied. Of course, their monthly income was not high to begin with; now that the rent might increase, their lives would naturally become even more difficult.
Thinking of this, the poor woman became even more flustered.
"It's okay, I just can't figure out how that brat knows these things. Could it be that he really has the ability to foresee the future?" Bing Tianyi's Father joked.
As soon as he finished speaking, Bing Tianyi stepped forward mysteriously and said to his parents, "Mom and Dad, I have something very important to tell you, but you must not tell anyone else."
Seeing the expression on their son's face, the two were curious and asked, "What is it?"
"I have crossed over from another world."
With this statement, Bing Tianyi immediately made his parents uneasy. They never expected their son would say something like that about crossing over to another world.
In a moment of panic, Bing Tianyi's Mother quickly reached out and touched her son's forehead, whispering, "You don't have a fever, do you? Why are you talking such nonsense?"
"Mom, I'm fine. What I'm saying is true," Bing Tianyi said seriously while pushing his mother's hand away.
Bing Tianyi's Father felt that this matter was rather strange. After a brief consideration, he looked at his son and asked, "Tell me, what major event will happen nearby tomorrow?"
"Anything I say is fine?" Bing Tianyi asked his father.
"Anything."
"The landlord's mother will pass away tomorrow. Also, if we set up a stall tonight, our booth might get smashed," Bing Tianyi said seriously without even thinking.
Bing Tianyi's Father looked up at the sky after hearing the news and, after a few seconds, said to his wife, "Let's go set up the stall."
Upon hearing the words about the stall being smashed, Bing Tianyi's Mother became even more anxious. After all, this small stall was their family's lifeline. If it really got destroyed as their son said, they wouldn't know how to get by in the future.
Thinking of this, she quickly said to her husband, "Honey, let's forget it. Something so big happened today; we shouldn't set up the stall tonight."
"Are you really worried about the stall getting smashed?" he asked.
"What do you think?"
"If it really gets smashed, I might actually be happy!" Bing Tianyi's Father said with a hint of meaning.
Upon hearing this, Bing Tianyi's Mother looked puzzled and asked, "Honey, have you lost your mind? If the stall gets smashed, what will we eat in the future?"
"Don't worry; that brat probably knows that the landlord's mother is sick, which is why he said that," Bing Tianyi's Father replied as he resolutely headed towards Food City.
Meanwhile, Bing Tianyi rushed forward to his father, wanting to salvage the situation and prevent his mother from worrying. "Dad, please listen to me; let's not set up the stall tonight."
"Alright, you should go home and study your lessons well tonight," Bing Tianyi's Father said firmly.
Seeing the determined look on his father's face, Bing Tianyi felt a bit helpless. As this man's son, he understood his father very well; once he made a decision, it was impossible to change it.
