"Chen Shuying, come back with me on the ox cart," the village chief said to Chen Shuying.
"Okay, village chief," Chen Shuying nodded in agreement.
So, the village chief, Chen Shuying, and Xiao Liang got onto the ox cart and slowly made their way back to the village, leaving Uncle Changgui and Granny Wang behind.
On the ox cart, the village chief looked at Chen Shuying and comforted her, "Chen Shuying, don't be too sad; divorce is not something to be ashamed of. It's better to be without that kind of man."
"Mm, I understand," Chen Shuying nodded.
"Don't worry; I will help you find a good piece of land," the village chief said.
"Thank you, village chief," Chen Shuying expressed her gratitude.

"I want to wait until Xiao Liang grows up a bit more," Chen Shuying explained.
"That's fine too," the village chief agreed.
"Mom, I will always be with you," Xiao Liang said as he hugged Chen Shuying's waist to comfort her.
"Xiao Liang, you're my only family now," Chen Shuying said sadly as she stroked Xiao Liang's head.
"Mom, don't be sad; I will always be with you," Xiao Liang reassured her.
"Xiao Liang, thank you," Chen Shuying said emotionally.
"Village chief, may I ask you for a favor?" Chen Shuying looked at the village chief and asked.
"Go ahead," the village chief nodded.
"Could you help me request a piece of land from the village? I want to build a house here," Chen Shuying said.
"This..." The village chief hesitated.
"Village chief, I'm begging you," Chen Shuying pleaded.
"Alright." The village chief hesitated for a moment before finally agreeing.
"Thank you, village chief," Chen Shuying said gratefully.
"No need to thank me, I'm just doing what I should do," the village chief replied.
"Village chief, once I make some money, I will repay you," Chen Shuying said.
"No need for that; I'm helping you not to be repaid," the village chief said.
"Anyway, I will remember your kindness," Chen Shuying stated.
"Alright, stop talking about it, or I'll get angry," the village chief pretended to be angry.
"Okay, I won't say anything more," Chen Shuying laughed.
"Chen Shuying, you have nothing at home right now. I have some bedding here; if you don't mind, take it and use it for now," Zhang Xiaoxiao said.
