“Brother Wang, what good news do you have? Let’s hear it,” Fei Hu said, looking a bit impatient.
Wang Xiaoyi put his finger to his lips and shushed, glancing around. He noticed that the other security guards were gathered together chatting and weren’t paying attention to him. He then whispered, “Fat Man is here, and he went into Room 328 with the vixen. I saw it with my own eyes.”
“So what?” Fei Hu replied dismissively. He thought Wang Xiaoyi would tell him about some girl being taken by a customer or something similar, but he wasn’t interested in this news at all.
The Fat Man was the boss of Night Rose, and the vixen referred to Wang Juan, the manager here. In her thirties, she was exceptionally alluring, and any man who saw her would usually have impure thoughts. However, she was notoriously harsh on the security staff, which is why everyone privately called her the vixen.
Seeing that Fei Hu wasn’t impressed, Wang Xiaoyi chuckled, “You’re such a blockhead. The Fat Man hasn’t been here for over a month. As soon as he arrives, they both head straight into the private room. Just think about it…,” Wang Xiaoyi said with a lewd smile.
Fei Hu immediately understood what Wang Xiaoyi meant. This lewd guy often claimed that the boss and Wang Juan were having an affair. Tonight was just perfect for proving it. The two of them started to get competitive over this matter and even placed a bet.
Soon it was time to change shifts. Fei Hu and Wang Xiaoyi were quite lucky tonight; they were on patrol duty, which was a rare treat that came around only once a month. They couldn’t believe their luck when they found themselves assigned to it tonight. Feeling elated, they moved from the first floor to the second floor and then to the third floor. Although they were supposed to be patrolling, it was mostly just for show.
Room 328 was located at the end of the third floor, right next to the staircase turn, making it somewhat concealed. It seemed that the vixen had chosen this spot for a reason. When Fei Hu and Wang Xiaoyi reached the door, they saw a new girl named Xiao Li standing there dressed provocatively with an unhappy expression on her face.
Wang Xiaoyi quickly approached her with a smile and said, “Hey! Gorgeous! You look so enticing tonight; why the long face? Who bullied you? Tell me, and I’ll get revenge for you.” Despite his lewd demeanor, this old guy had quite a way with women; he struck up a conversation in no time, something Fei Hu couldn’t manage as easily.
Xiao Li might have been bored standing alone; when someone spoke to her, she snorted and said, “What’s going on? I was promised I could sit at the bar tonight. Not only can I not sit there, but I’m also stuck guarding this door alone! There’s no tip tonight either; it’s infuriating!” Xiao Li vented her frustrations.
“This isn’t something you need to get angry about; it’s just a trivial matter,” Wang Xiaoyi replied casually. “It’s just watching others not enter this room. I’ll be stationed at the staircase keeping an eye out for you. You go ahead with your work! If you get a tip, don’t forget to buy me a bottle of water.” Wang Xiaoyi spoke as if it were all perfectly reasonable.
Xiao Li hesitated for a moment, then smiled at Wang Xiaoyi and said, "Brother Wang, I'll leave this matter to you. Tomorrow I'll buy you a Red Bull as a treat." As she spoke, she winked at Wang Xiaoyi and swayed her round hips as she walked away.
As soon as Xiao Li left, Wang Xiaoyi pushed Fei Hu forward and said with a mischievous grin, "It's time for us to watch the live show."
Fat Man really thought of himself as the Boss; the door to the private room wasn't even locked. Fei Hu gently twisted the handle, and the door opened slightly. He felt both nervous and excited—nervous about sneaking a peek at the Boss's activities, and excited because if Fat Man was indeed live streaming with the vixen, he could indulge his curiosity.
As the door opened, loud music poured out, and colorful lights flashed in the room. Hey! Were they dancing? It didn't seem like it. Just as Fei Hu was puzzled, he finally saw it: in the dim light, Fat Man was leaning back on the sofa while the vixen sat on his lap, her hands behind her head, swaying up and down in a dazed manner. The long hem of her dress covered both of them, making it hard to see anything unusual. Fei Hu thought these two were quite lazy; even dancing required sitting down.
As one song ended, the lights in the room gradually brightened. Fei Hu was stunned to discover that the vixen's strap dress had been pulled down to her waist, revealing two large mounds that Fat Man was holding—one in each hand—and he was squeezing them into different shapes. Seeing this made Fei Hu's heart race. Looking further down, he realized that Fat Man wasn't idle; he was thrusting his waist rhythmically, and with each thrust, the vixen's body would sway slightly while she let out soft moans. It turned out that there was more to the vixen than met the eye beneath her dress.
When Fei Hu understood what was happening, his body instinctively reacted. Just as he was lost in watching them, Wang Xiaoyi unexpectedly bumped into him from behind. Fei Hu lost his balance and crashed into the slightly ajar door. By the time he realized what had happened, he found himself sprawled in the middle of the private room.
With a shriek, both the vixen and Fat Man hurriedly got up and started adjusting their clothes behind Fei Hu. Seizing the opportunity, Fei Hu quietly got up and tried to sneak out. Just as he was about to reach the door, a woman's sharp voice called out, "Stop!"
Fei Hu's heart jumped into his throat; it was the vixen's voice. She usually spoke to them like that. Slowly turning around, he saw Fat Man sitting on the sofa with an angry expression while the vixen glared at him with a slightly breathless voice asking, "Why are you running around instead of being at your post? Call your team leader here!"
Fei Hu realized how serious this situation had become. He wanted to explain but couldn't find the words; he could only lower his head and walk out of the private room. Wang Xiaoyi had already disappeared without a trace.
Soon after, results came in: The security team leader returned from the third floor and shook his head helplessly saying, "Brother, you really have guts to barge into the Boss's private room. Clean yourself up and leave! The vixen told me to bring your wages; she said she doesn't want to see you again. Do you know that even Xiao Li who just joined has been let go?"
Fei Hu was stunned upon hearing this; he never expected things would escalate like this—all because of that damn Wang Xiaoyi. A man may bleed but not shed tears; since they didn't want to see him anymore, there was no need for him to cling on stubbornly. Fei Hu quickly packed up his things, changed out of his security uniform, took his wages from the team leader, and left Night Rose without looking back.
The night was enchanting, but where should he go now? Fei Hu wandered aimlessly down the street, feeling utterly lost. Suddenly he saw an old man begging on the ground and couldn't help but think of his grandfather. He walked over and took out one yuan from his freshly received wages and dropped it into the old man's bowl.
Fei Hu thought the old man would at least be grateful to him, but to his surprise, the old man raised his head and scrutinized Fei Hu for a moment before suddenly picking up a basin and striking it hard with an iron rod. The sound echoed loudly in that moment and place, particularly jarring. Fei Hu was confused about what was happening; did giving him money cause a problem?
Just as he was puzzled, five or six yellow-haired individuals rushed out from a nearby KTV. Upon seeing them, the old man shouted, "This guy seems to be..."
In an instant, the group of yellow-haired individuals charged towards Fei Hu. It was then that Fei Hu realized one of them was someone he recognized—the one he had kicked away in the hospital. He remembered the scars on that person's face.
The group paused for a moment, recognizing Fei Hu, and without saying a word, they lunged at him like hungry wolves. This time was different from the last; Fei Hu wouldn’t hold back. He was prepared and aimed at the one running in front. With a swift left punch followed by a right hook, he struck with a loud thud. The force of Fei Hu's punch was tremendous; he used eighty percent of his strength, causing the guy to stagger back three or four steps before crashing to the ground.
Seeing Fei Hu's overwhelming power, the others exchanged glances and quickly reached for their waists, revealing steel pipes in their hands. It seemed they were well-prepared. Fei Hu quickly stepped back and assumed a defensive stance as the yellow-haired group charged at him silently, as if they had a deep-seated grudge.
Fei Hu didn’t dare to be careless; after all, they were armed with metal pipes. He could only dodge left and right while looking for an opportunity to strike. Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he spotted several more people running towards him from across the street—likely reinforcements for his attackers. Without hesitation, Fei Hu decided not to linger any longer. He swept his leg out to force the yellow-haired group back momentarily and turned to run. His speed rivaled that of a tiger in the forest.
After navigating several streets and alleys, Fei Hu finally managed to shake them off completely. The earlier scene had indeed been frightening; over ten people had been chasing him, each wielding weapons, causing passersby to stare and honking cars to fill the street with noise.
At the corner of an alley, Fei Hu leaned against the wall, gasping for breath. He couldn’t understand what was happening; it felt like one bad thing after another. Losing his job was one thing, but he had almost been beaten to death on the street just now. Was that old man truly a harbinger of disaster?
