After making breakfast, Zhao Guangcai called Zhang Xiaoxiao to get up.
Zhang Xiaoxiao stretched out her hand from under the blanket and said, "I want you to carry me out of bed."
Zhao Guangcai was taken aback for a moment, then reacted and picked Zhang Xiaoxiao up, placing her on a stool.
This was their first time being so close, and Zhao Guangcai felt very nervous yet incredibly happy.

"Hurry to town; don't keep them waiting," Zhang Xiaoxiao changed the subject.
"Okay," Zhao Guangcai replied.
After Zhao Guangcai left, Zhang Xiaoxiao read a book in the yard.
"System, can I go to town?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked.
[Yes.] The system replied.
"Then I'll go now," Zhang Xiaoxiao immediately closed her book and got up to walk towards the door.
[What are you going to do in town?] The system asked curiously.
"I want to learn about Shih Sheng's background since he arrived here," Zhang Xiaoxiao answered.
[How did you know Zhao Guangcai would take you to town?] The system questioned in confusion.
"I guessed," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied lightly.
[...] The system fell silent.
When Zhang Xiaoxiao reached the village entrance, she happened to run into Zhao Guangcai and Shih Sheng.
"Zhang Xiaoxiao, what are you doing here?" Zhao Guangcai asked in surprise.
"I wanted to come and take a look," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied with a smile.
"Didn't I tell you to stay home and wait for me?" Zhao Guangcai frowned.
"I was too bored at home by myself," Zhang Xiaoxiao pouted.
"..." Zhao Guangcai said helplessly.
"Guangcai, who is this?" Shih Sheng asked curiously.
"This is my partner, Zhang Xiaoxiao," Zhao Guangcai introduced.
"Hello, I'm Shih Sheng," Shih Sheng introduced himself.
"Hello," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied politely.
"Guangcai, you really are full of surprises; you have such a beautiful partner," Shih Sheng teased.
"..." Zhao Guangcai was speechless.
"Where are you two planning to go?" Shih Sheng asked curiously.
"I'm planning to take Zhang Xiaoxiao to stroll around the town," Zhao Guangcai answered.
"You two go ahead; I won't be a third wheel," Shih Sheng said with a smile.
"Alright, then we're off," Zhao Guangcai nodded.
Shih Sheng watched the two walk away, a meaningful smile appearing on his lips.
Zhao Guangcai held Zhang Xiaoxiao's hand tightly as they walked into town, afraid she might get lost in the crowd.
"Zhao Guangcai, I can walk by myself," Zhang Xiaoxiao couldn't help but say.
"No way, it's crowded here; what if you get lost?" Zhao Guangcai said seriously.
"..." Zhang Xiaoxiao was speechless.
"Where do you want to go?" Zhao Guangcai asked.
"I want to check out the bookstore," Zhang Xiaoxiao said excitedly.
"Okay, I'll take you there," Zhao Guangcai said indulgently.
Zhao Guangcai took Zhang Xiaoxiao to the bookstore in town; it wasn't very large, but it had a good variety of books.
"This bookstore just opened," Zhao Guangcai said.
"Oh," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied.
"Do you like reading?" Zhao Guangcai asked.
"Mhm," Zhang Xiaoxiao nodded.
"Then take a look and see if there's anything you want to buy," Zhao Guangcai said generously.
"Mhm." Zhang Xiaoxiao excitedly ran over to the shelves to find books.
Zhao Guangcai watched her with a happy smile on his face.
Zhang Xiaoxiao brought several books to the checkout, and Zhao Guangcai rushed to pay for them.
"I'll handle it," Zhang Xiaoxiao insisted.
"You are my lover, so it's only right for me to spend money on you." Zhao Guangcai said domineeringly.
"..." Zhang Xiaoxiao was speechless.
After Zhao Guangcai paid, the two of them left the bookstore together.
"I want to go eat wontons," Zhang Xiaoxiao suddenly said.
"Okay, I'll take you," Zhao Guangcai nodded in agreement.
Zhao Guangcai took Zhang Xiaoxiao to a Wonton Shop and ordered two bowls of wontons.
"Try these; the wontons here are really delicious," Zhao Guangcai said.
"Mm," Zhang Xiaoxiao nodded.
The wontons tasted indeed good, and Zhang Xiaoxiao finished an entire bowl.
"Are you full?" Zhao Guangcai asked with concern.
"Mm," Zhang Xiaoxiao nodded.
"Then let's go," Zhao Guangcai said.
"Mm," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied.
Zhao Guangcai strolled down the street with Zhang Xiaoxiao, buying interesting things they encountered and tasty snacks along the way.
They chatted happily about Xiaoxiao throughout their walk.
"Is Shih Sheng in the bookstore?" Zhao Guangcai suddenly asked.
"He should be," Zhang Xiaoxiao guessed.
"Then let's go check it out," Zhao Guangcai suggested.
"Mm," Zhang Xiaoxiao nodded.
Zhao Guangcai took Zhang Xiaoxiao to the bookstore, and sure enough, Shih Sheng was inside.
"Guangcai, why are you back so soon?" Shih Sheng exclaimed in surprise.
"I brought Zhang Xiaoxiao to town for a stroll," Zhao Guangcai explained.
"Weren't you supposed to stay home with your lover? How do you have time to come find me?" Shih Sheng teased.
"..." Zhao Guangcai was speechless.
