"Are you sure you want to stir-fry?" the system asked.
"Yes," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied firmly.
"Alright then," the system said helplessly.
The system stopped trying to persuade her, and Zhang Xiaoxiao continued cooking.
She stirred the meat in the pan evenly and then added the chopped chili peppers.
Once the meat and peppers were cooked, Zhang Xiaoxiao served them up.
"Finally done," Zhang Xiaoxiao remarked.
"Try it," the system said curiously.
"Isn't that unnecessary?" Zhang Xiaoxiao hesitated.
"Why not try it?" the system asked, intrigued.
"I'm afraid I can't handle it," Zhang Xiaoxiao expressed her concern.
"Do you have so little confidence in your cooking skills?" the system was surprised.
"It's not that I lack confidence; I just never thought about cooking at all," Zhang Xiaoxiao said gloomily.
"Then how do you solve the problem of meals?" the system asked curiously.
"Guangcai cooks," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied simply.
"Zhao Guangcai cooks?" the system exclaimed in surprise.
"Yes," Zhang Xiaoxiao confirmed.
"He can cook?" the system asked, intrigued.
"Yes," Zhang Xiaoxiao affirmed.
"What is his cooking like?" the system inquired further.
"It's very delicious," Zhang Xiaoxiao said happily.
"You've tried it?" the system asked curiously.
"I have," Zhang Xiaoxiao confirmed.
"Are you sure?" the system questioned skeptically.
"I'm absolutely sure," Zhang Xiaoxiao insisted.
"Then why has he never cooked before?" the system wondered.
"He's very busy," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied simply.
"Really?" the system asked suspiciously.
"Yes," Zhang Xiaoxiao affirmed.
"Then why did he do it this time?" the system inquired curiously.
"Because I want to eat," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied confidently.
"I see," the system said, understanding.
"I'll go call Da Fu and the others for dinner," Zhang Xiaoxiao said.
"Okay," the system responded.
Zhang Xiaoxiao walked to the door and opened it wide.
Da Fu and the others rushed into the yard as soon as they saw the door open.
"You finally came back," Zhang Xiaoxiao said happily.
"We're back," Da Fu replied.
"Where did you go?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked curiously.
"We went out to play," Da Fu said cheerfully.
"Why did you come back so late?" Zhang Xiaoxiao questioned.
"We thought it was still early, so we played a bit longer," Da Fu explained.
"I see," Zhang Xiaoxiao said, understanding now.
"We're hungry," Da Fu stated.
"I'll go make you some food," Zhang Xiaoxiao said excitedly.
"Okay," Da Fu replied.
Zhang Xiaoxiao turned around and went back into the house to serve food for Da Fu and the others.
She prepared the food and then brought it outside.
"Go ahead and eat," Zhang Xiaoxiao said.
"Okay," Da Fu responded.
Da Fu and the others began to eat, while Zhang Xiaoxiao returned to the kitchen.
She brought out some meat for Da Fu and the others to eat.
However, they only took a couple of bites before spitting it out.
"What happened?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked in confusion.
"It's not tasty," Da Fu complained.
"How can it not be tasty?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked, puzzled.
"It's just not good," Da Fu complained.
"Try it again," Zhang Xiaoxiao urged.
"I won't try it," Da Fu refused.
"Just take another bite," Zhang Xiaoxiao pleaded.
"I don't want to try it," Da Fu insisted.
"Please," Zhang Xiaoxiao begged.
"I really don't want to..." Da Fu said, but before finishing, she spat it out.
"What's wrong with you?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked with concern.
"I can't eat anymore," Da Fu replied, feeling unwell.
"Why?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked, puzzled.
"It's too salty," Da Fu complained.
"No way?" Zhang Xiaoxiao doubted.
"Try it yourself," Da Fu said.
"I'll give it a try," Zhang Xiaoxiao responded.
Zhang Xiaoxiao picked up her chopsticks and grabbed a piece of meat. She put the meat in her mouth, chewed a couple of times, and then spat it out.
"So salty," Zhang Xiaoxiao remarked.
"I told you it's very salty," Da Fu complained again.
"I'm sorry," Zhang Xiaoxiao apologized.
"It's okay," Da Fu replied.
"We can't eat these dishes anymore," Zhang Xiaoxiao said gloomily.
"Why did you have to cook for yourself?" the system asked in confusion.
"Guangcai isn't here, so I had to do it myself," Zhang Xiaoxiao said, feeling down.
"You could go eat at someone else's house," the system suggested.
"No way," Zhang Xiaoxiao refused.
"Why not?" the system asked, puzzled.
"I can't just eat for free at someone else's place," Zhang Xiaoxiao said seriously.
"You can pay them," the system simply stated.
"That's not possible," Zhang Xiaoxiao refused.
"Why?" the system asked, confused.
"I can't always go to someone else's house for dinner," Zhang Xiaoxiao said seriously.
"You could find someone to marry," the system suggested.
"I don't want to," Zhang Xiaoxiao refused.
"Why?" the system asked, still puzzled.
"I have to wait for Guangcai to come back," Zhang Xiaoxiao said earnestly.
"When will he be back?" the system inquired curiously.
"He said in about ten days to half a month," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied simply.
"That's a long time," the system exclaimed in surprise.
"Yes," Zhang Xiaoxiao responded.
"How will you eat during this time?" the system asked curiously.
"I haven't figured that out yet," Zhang Xiaoxiao said, feeling frustrated.
"Let me know when you do," the system said.
"Okay," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied.
"I'll head back now," the system stated.
"You can go back," Zhang Xiaoxiao responded.
After saying that, the system disappeared.
Zhang Xiaoxiao tidied up the food on the table and then went outside.
As soon as she stepped out of the door, she saw Aunt Lihua walking in.
" Aunt Lihua, what brings you here?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked in surprise.
"I came to see you," Aunt Lihua said happily.
"What do you want to see me for?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked, puzzled.
"I wanted to see if you can cook," Aunt Lihua joked.
"I..." Zhang Xiaoxiao said awkwardly.
"What did you make?" Aunt Lihua asked curiously.
"I made rice and stir-fried pork," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied, feeling embarrassed.
"Let me taste it," Aunt Lihua said excitedly.
"No way," Zhang Xiaoxiao refused.
"Why?" Aunt Lihua asked in confusion.
"It's not tasty," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied awkwardly.
"How do you know?" Aunt Lihua asked curiously.
"They ate it and threw it up," Zhang Xiaoxiao said, feeling embarrassed.
"Is it that bad?" Aunt Lihua exclaimed in surprise.
"Yeah," Zhang Xiaoxiao responded.
"Let me see," Aunt Lihua said with curiosity.
"Don't look," Zhang Xiaoxiao urged awkwardly.
"I want to see," Aunt Lihua insisted.
"Don't look," Zhang Xiaoxiao tried to stop her.
"I want to see," Aunt Lihua repeated firmly.
After saying this, Aunt Lihua walked into the kitchen.
Zhang Xiaoxiao followed her into the kitchen.
Once in the kitchen, Aunt Lihua saw the dishes on the table.
She picked up a pair of chopsticks and grabbed a piece of meat.
As soon as she put the meat in her mouth, she spat it out.
"So salty," Aunt Lihua complained.
"I told you it was very salty," Zhang Xiaoxiao said awkwardly.
"How did you make this?" Aunt Lihua asked curiously.
"I just made it like I usually do," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied, feeling embarrassed.
"You can't eat this dish," Aunt Lihua stated.
"I know," Zhang Xiaoxiao responded.
"Why don't you come eat at my house?" Aunt Lihua offered warmly.
