"No, it's fine," Zhang Xiaoxiao said awkwardly.
"Don't be polite," Aunt Lihua said warmly.
"I..." Zhang Xiaoxiao hesitated.
"Don't feel shy; we made some delicious food today," Aunt Lihua said happily.
"What delicious food?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked curiously.
"Roast duck," Aunt Lihua replied cheerfully.
"Roast duck?" Zhang Xiaoxiao exclaimed in surprise.
"Yes," Aunt Lihua confirmed.
"Why did you suddenly decide to have roast duck?" Zhang Xiaoxiao inquired with curiosity.
"Fangfang said she wanted to eat it, so we bought one," Aunt Lihua explained joyfully.
"Oh, I see," Zhang Xiaoxiao understood.
"Come on, let's go eat," Aunt Lihua said excitedly.
"Okay," Zhang Xiaoxiao responded.
Aunt Lihua took Zhang Xiaoxiao back to her home.
As soon as Zhang Xiaoxiao entered the yard, she saw it was filled with people.
"Why are there so many people?" Zhang Xiaoxiao asked in surprise.
"They heard that Fangfang bought a roast duck, so they all came over," Aunt Lihua explained.
"Oh, I see," Zhang Xiaoxiao understood.
"Let's go inside," Aunt Lihua said cheerfully.
"Okay," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied.
Aunt Lihua led Zhang Xiaoxiao into the main room.
When Fangfang saw Zhang Xiaoxiao arrive, she stood up.
"Xiaojie, you're here!" Fangfang said happily.
"Fangfang," Zhang Xiaoxiao said awkwardly.
"Xiaojie, come sit down quickly," Fangfang urged warmly.
"Alright," Zhang Xiaoxiao responded.
Fangfang pulled Zhang Xiaoxiao down to sit and served her a bowl of chicken soup.
"Xiaojie, drink some soup first," Fangfang said cheerfully.
"Thank you," Zhang Xiaoxiao expressed her gratitude.
Zhang Xiaoxiao picked up the chicken soup and took a small sip.
"It's delicious," Zhang Xiaoxiao praised.
"If it's good, then drink more," Aunt Lihua said happily.
"Mm," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied.
Fangfang saw that Zhang Xiaoxiao enjoyed the soup and felt secretly pleased.
She thought about having Zhang Xiaoxiao eat at their house more often, as that would allow them to earn some extra money.
Everyone sat in the courtyard, eating and chatting.
Zhang Xiaoxiao was toasted by everyone in turn, and she drank tea instead of wine.
After the meal, everyone was very happy.
Once they finished eating, Fangfang grabbed Zhang Xiaoxiao's arm.
"Sister Xiao, why don't you just eat at our house from now on?" Fangfang said cheerfully.
"This..." Zhang Xiaoxiao said awkwardly.
"What's wrong?" Fangfang asked, confused.
"I..." Zhang Xiaoxiao stammered.
Zhang Xiaoxiao didn't know how to refuse; she didn't want to eat at their house because it would be too awkward for her.
"Fangfang, don't do this," Aunt Lihua said.
"Mom, what's wrong?" Fangfang asked, puzzled.
"Don't put Xiaoxiao in a difficult position," Aunt Lihua admonished.
"I..." Fangfang said, feeling wronged.
"Xiaoxiao, I'll take you home," Aunt Lihua said.
"Okay," Zhang Xiaoxiao replied.
Aunt Lihua led Zhang Xiaoxiao out the door and headed towards her home.
"Aunt, thank you for today," Zhang Xiaoxiao expressed her gratitude.
"You're welcome," Aunt Lihua said happily.
"Here, this is for you," Zhang Xiaoxiao said as she took a bill out of her pocket and handed it to Aunt Lihua.
"What are you doing?" Aunt Lihua refused.
"The family dinner today was on me; this is for you," Zhang Xiaoxiao explained.
"I can't accept this," Aunt Lihua insisted.
"Aunt, please take it," Zhang Xiaoxiao urged.
"I really can't accept it," Aunt Lihua reiterated.
"Aunt, I..." Zhang Xiaoxiao hesitated.
"What's wrong?" Aunt Lihua asked curiously.
"I don't want to make it difficult for you," Zhang Xiaoxiao said seriously.
"What do you mean?" Aunt Lihua asked, confused.
"I can't eat at your house; it would be hard for you," Xiaoxiao said with concern.
"You're overthinking it," Aunt Lihua comforted her.
"I'm not overthinking; I really feel it's not right," Zhang Xiaoxiao insisted.
"Why?" Aunt Lihua asked, puzzled.
"I can't keep eating at your house," Zhang Xiaoxiao said earnestly.
"Why?" Aunt Lihua repeated, still confused.
"I..." Zhang Xiaoxiao said awkwardly.
"If you feel it's inconvenient, you don't have to come to our house for dinner," Aunt Lihua understood.
"Aunt, I'm sorry," Zhang Xiaoxiao apologized.
"No need to say sorry," Aunt Lihua reassured her.
"I..." Zhang Xiaoxiao felt embarrassed.
"If you don't want to come, then don't. No one will blame you," Aunt Lihua understood.
"Aunt, thank you," Zhang Xiaoxiao expressed her gratitude.
"You're welcome," Aunt Lihua replied happily.
"Take this," Zhang Xiaoxiao said.
"I can't accept it," Aunt Lihua refused.
"You should take it," Zhang Xiaoxiao urged.
"I really can't accept it," Aunt Lihua insisted.
