This is a large mansion, resembling the architecture of ancient human times, with a similar interior design. However, the flowers, plants, and trees here are all low-level Little Sprites. Generally, they do not reveal themselves; in simple terms, they are for people to admire. They reside in the homes of the strong seeking protection. Life here is orderly, with everyone performing their duties. The hierarchy is based on strength; those with weak Soul Power can only exist like this, no matter how much they cultivate. This is somewhat similar to our world, where wealth dictates power. 0

I followed the prisoner as we turned left and right with the Ghost Servant until we reached the front hall. This Ghost Servant resembled a middle-aged human around 50 years old, except for his pale skin and lack of vitality. He was very respectful towards us, constantly bowing as if afraid of us. To be honest, I was more afraid of him since it was my first time interacting with a ghost, and the Eerie Energy emanating from him sent chills down my spine. 0

“Lord Qiu, miss, the master is right here; please wait a moment.” After saying this, he bowed again. 0

“Master, Lord Qiu has arrived.” 0

Inside, there was a flurry of sounds followed by hurried footsteps. Suddenly, the door opened to reveal a large face that appeared to be around 60 years old by human standards. It had a round face with prominent features; however, his large eyes were squinted into slits due to his smile. 0

“Ha ha! Lord Qiu, what brings you here? You should have told me in advance so I could come to greet you! Stay longer this time; let me treat you well.” The ghost laughed heartily upon seeing me. This was my first time witnessing such a human-like expression from a ghost; he looked quite similar to humans and had an honest and likable appearance. I had a good impression of him, reminiscent of my grandfather. 0

“Ronda, it’s been a long time since we last met. This time I’m sending someone here for cultivation; I’m entrusting her to you.” The prisoner’s response seemed less enthusiastic. 0

“Sure, sure! Lord Qiu, you honor me. Even if I have to sell everything I own, I will take good care of this young lady. You can rest assured about my work.” Ronda agreed readily. He turned around and smiled warmly at me when he noticed me standing nearby. I quickly returned his smile. 0

“Alright then, I’ll take my leave now and won’t linger here. Xi Meng, if you need anything, just tell Ronda; he will help you. Remember what I told you before.” The prisoner looked at me and said goodbye. 0

“Yes, miss, there’s no need to be afraid here; just find Ronda if anything comes up.” 0

“Thank you, Grandpa Ronda; I appreciate your help. Prisoner, I won’t let you or my great-grandfather down. I will cultivate diligently and wait for you to come pick me up.” 0

“Good.” The prisoner hugged me briefly before turning and disappearing. 0

Looking at the disappearing prisoner, I couldn't help but want to go back. Grandpa Ronda patted my shoulder and said, "Xi Meng, it's okay. Here with me, Ronda, no one dares to bully you. You can focus on your cultivation. I can sense the strength of your Soul Power; I believe it won't be long before you succeed. Alright, alright, Lord Qiu just left. Come on, I'll take you for a stroll. This place is quite luxurious in the Underworld." He puffed out his chest proudly after saying that. I couldn't help but chuckle. 0

Most of the ghosts and demons in the mansion I had already met; they were all very polite to me. A few of them kept stealing glances at me, curious since it was their first time seeing a human. "Jian, Qiong, come over here," Ronda called to a group of Ghost Servants. 0

At that moment, two figures approached us. The first girl wore a long white dress embroidered with Gold Thread snow lotuses, her silver hair flowing down without any accessories. She had a pure beauty that lacked any of the Eerie Energy typical of ghosts. The second woman appeared more mature than the first; she wore plum red and had a branch of plum blossoms extending from her chest down to just below her right knee. Her collar featured ancient plum blossom buttons, and her long black hair was styled into an updo with a jade hairpin inserted. A beauty mark under her left eye added a touch of charm along with an air of intellect. 0

"Xi Meng, this one is Jian; she is a snow lotus I encountered during my cultivation and saved her life. Now she is one of the top experts in my mansion, so you'll be safer when you go out to cultivate," Grandpa Ronda said, pointing to the first girl. 0

"This one is Qiong; she is a female ghost familiar with the Underworld. If you have any questions, just ask her. You can trust her skills completely," Grandpa Ronda added while pointing to the second woman. 0

"And you four—Shun, Shi, Dong, Sha—listen carefully: you must protect the young lady absolutely during the day; she cannot be harmed in any way. All Ghost Servants are to obey; whenever the young lady needs anything, you must follow Shun's orders and use your lives to protect her. Do you understand?" 0

"Yes, we obey," all the Ghost Servants replied before kneeling down. 0

"Thank you, Grandpa Ronda; you've really gone out of your way for me. There's no need for so many people; I'm just here to cultivate." Although I understood that Grandpa Ronda was doing this for my protection, I came here to cultivate, not to fight. Whether ghosts, demons, or humans, everyone only has one chance at survival. 0

"Listen up, Xi Meng; Lord Qiu has done me a favor by entrusting you to me, so I cannot let him down. Usually, Jian and Qiong will be by your side to take care of you; the four Shadow Guards will only appear when there's danger—such situations should be rare. It’s even rarer for all Ghost Servants to be mobilized; I'm just making full preparations. Don't worry; it won't be troublesome," Grandpa Ronda said with a smile as he waved his hand dismissively. 0

"Alright then, thank you, Grandpa Ronda." I was still very grateful to him. 0

"What are you thanking me for? Come on, let me show you around over there." 0

As we chatted and walked around, Jian and Qiong led me to my room. It was beautiful—exactly the kind of antique style I liked; I had always wanted furniture like this. Oh right, there was something else I needed to do. 0

"Jian, can you please call those four Shadow Guards over? I have something I want to discuss with them." 0

"Miss, they are your shadow guards, at your beck and call." Jian's voice was pleasant, almost ethereal. 0

"Okay, I understand." I tried to call out to the figures outside: "Shun, Shi, Dong, Sha." 0

Oh my, in just one second? They appeared right in front of me, leaving me a bit flustered. "Um, hello, I'm Xi Meng. I hope you can take care of me from now on. Can I get to know you first?" My voice trembled slightly; after all, they were not human, and I could clearly feel the chill intensifying. 0

"Hehe, Miss, there's no need to be afraid of us. I'm Shun, transformed from a thousand-year-old white koi. I will protect you well." The one named Shun winked at me. He looked very much like a Chinese person with black hair and black eyes, his features delicate. I had a good impression of him; he felt like an older brother. 0

"Miss Xi Dream, I'm Shi. My true form is a crane." After introducing himself, Shi smiled at me as well. He had blue hair and blue eyes that were particularly beautiful and deep. He gave off an air of a foreign gentleman, very elegant. 0

"I'm Dong, a snake." Dong had a very cold demeanor. With green hair and yellow eyes, his features were sharp but he radiated an aura of chill that made me want to distance myself from him. 0

"I'm Sha, a ghost." My goodness, he exuded a strong aura of death. The chill I felt earlier was mostly due to him. He had white hair and red eyes that looked bloodthirsty. I felt something special about him; he was colder than Dong, yet I didn't want to move away from him. I stared blankly into his eyes—there was hatred there. Why such intense hatred? What had he gone through? Sha frowned slightly and coughed. 0

I snapped back to reality and awkwardly smiled twice. Right, I still had something to say. "Um, what I mainly want to tell you is that I'm a Dream Soul Master. My duty is to protect humanity. I'm here to train myself so that I can better protect everyone. You may not know me well; I'm very timid because I've slowly started to accept reality due to my imprisonment. Today, having met you all, I hope each of you can protect yourselves. If it comes down to life and death, please leave for your own sake. I'm here to protect more people, not to achieve my goals through more sacrifices. That's all; you can leave now. I hope you understand." After finishing my speech in a hurry, I turned and ran back into the room. 0

Outside the door, the six figures exchanged glances. Shun laughed again, "What an interesting Little One." Shi nodded with a smile as well. "Dong, Sha, what do you think?" Dong managed a stiff smile; he hadn't smiled in hundreds of years. Sha looked thoughtfully at the door before turning to leave. 0

"Sha really isn't cute at all," Shun said helplessly as he watched Sha walk away. 0

"Alright then, it seems Ronda values her highly enough for the four of us to protect her together. Let's pay more attention and return to our positions," Shi reminded them. 0
