Jehovah called to the man and said, "Where are you?" 0
He replied, "I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid." 0
Jehovah said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?" 0
The man said, "The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it." 0
Jehovah then spoke to the serpent, to the woman, and finally to Adam. 0
"You listened to your wife and ate from the tree about which I commanded you not to eat. Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return." 0
—The Bible 0
"Ultimately, Jehovah stripped Adam of everything he had and drove them out of Eden." 0
Grandfather looked at Gu Yan with his loving eyes and slowly recounted Adam's cruel fate. His face bore a compassionate reminiscence, like a true god—high above yet cold and merciless. 0
He gently closed the Bible and began a short yet sincere prayer. "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven..." 0
The prayer from across the room sounded distant, like a message from heaven echoing in Gu Yan's ears. 0
Gradually, the voices around him became blurred, those different prayers merging into a single phrase. 0
Jehovah stripped Adam of everything... 0
Stripped of everything... 0
Stripped of... 0
Everything... 0
What was once possessed was no longer held; divine favor is always arbitrary. They look down upon humanity with scorn and disdain, even as humble believers continuously praise and extol through songs, unable to sway divine decisions. 0
Whatever is given will ultimately be... 0
Completely taken back. 0
The image of Grandfather in Gu Yan's eyes gradually shifted from clear to blurry; his features became indistinct, his voice faint. Soon after, that familiar wrinkled face was replaced by Siren's stunning visage, alternating with Grandfather's face in rapid succession. 0
The piercing noise hurt Gu Yan, feeling as if a thousand steel needles were stabbing into his head. His eardrums were on the verge of collapsing under the overwhelming echo. 0
The frequency of those two figures alternating grew faster until Gu Yan could no longer distinguish whether it was Grandfather or Siren before him; they repeated in strange voices that one phrase: everything of yours will be taken away. 0
In an instant, Gu Yan's vision plunged into absolute darkness. 0

A huge sense of suffocation washed over him. Gu Yan opened his eyes wide in shock, as if he had just survived a disaster. 0

He quickly glanced to his side and found nothing there. Even the indentation on the mattress where he had lain was gone. The chains that had been left on the bed's railing had completely vanished without a trace. 0

The fabric from his rear had been removed, and even the feeling of being completely filled felt somewhat unfamiliar. A complete set of suits was neatly folded on the bedside table, without a single wrinkle. 0

Everything felt familiar, just like before; it was as if all traces of Siren had been entirely erased. It was as if he had never brought Siren back, as if he had never spent nearly a month in the villa. 0

Gu Yan's body trembled uncontrollably, and deep within him, there was a profound sense of despair. Could it be that those memories were just a dream? 0

With one last glimmer of hope, he looked at his body, trying to find traces of their intimacy, but to no avail. His fair skin, which should have easily borne marks, remained smooth and unblemished. 0

Gu Yan's heart contracted violently; after a brief pause, an unexpected panic caused his heartbeat to quicken again. How could this be… 0

But suddenly, he was drawn to a splash of blue on his chest. Next to his tattoo was something resembling scales, deeply embedded in the flesh near his heart, yet it did not seem out of place, as if it had always been there. 0

The pale red scales emitted a gentle warmth, attempting to soothe Gu Yan's emotional turmoil. That comforting sensation seemed almost magical, easing his anxiety. 0

The bloodshot veins in his eyes slightly faded as he gradually closed them again. It seemed that those memories truly existed. 0

However, the thing he feared most had indeed happened… Siren was gone… 0
