Xin Yi was momentarily stunned as a delicate fragrance slipped into his mouth, stirring within him. The sweet aroma overflowed, and he felt warmth in his lips without realizing it. Although he didn't fully understand why Lijie suddenly acted this way, his body responded naturally, without any pretense. His tongue began to move, eagerly welcoming this unexpected invader. After the warm welcome, he reciprocated, gently parting her heated lips and entering, as if his tongue had entered a fragrant garden filled with blossoms. He greedily savored the nectar of flowers, their tongues entwining passionately. 0

It wasn't until Xin Yi tasted a faint saltiness that he reluctantly withdrew from the intoxicating garden of flowers. It was Lijie's tears, but Xin Yi could sense that these tears were different from before; this time, they carried the meaning of happiness. 0

Lijie rested her head gently against Xin Yi's chest, listening to his strong heartbeat and feeling an unprecedented sense of security. 0

"You still haven't told me how you suddenly appeared behind me," Xin Yi broke the silence first. 0

"Actually, I can swim. I jumped into the water to see if you would come to save me like you did for that woman. When you dove to the bottom of the lake, I came ashore and watched you," Lijie replied softly, a bit embarrassed about her own tactics. 0

"What if I hadn't saved you? What would you have done?" 0

"Then I would have killed you myself," Lijie tilted her head back from Xin Yi's embrace and looked into his eyes, speaking each word deliberately. 0

"Huh? You would kill me if I didn't save you? That's ruthless!" Xin Yi felt a chill run down his spine. He had experienced Leng Qianqiu's methods and heard from Xin Shengtian that her daughter's skills with hidden weapons surpassed even hers. If that were true, then it wasn't impossible for her to kill him. In fact, this was still Xin Yi's optimistic view; given Lijie's poison skills, if she truly wanted to kill someone, there were probably fewer than ten people in the world who could escape. 0

"Then why did you suddenly..." Xin Yi referred to Lijie's proactive kiss. 0

"Because..." Lijie lowered her head again and said softly, "Because now I know... you still care about me." 0

Xin Yi thought to himself: "This woman is crazy. Just because I jumped into the lake to save her, she assumes I care about her. According to her logic, since I just kissed her, does that mean I want to marry her?" Xin Yi had no idea that what moved Lijie was actually his murmured words that weren't even directed at her. 0

However, Xin Yi wasn't entirely wrong; Lijie was indeed crazy—her feelings had become frantic. A woman who appeared cold as ice actually had a heart burning with passion. Once the frozen dam of emotions opened, it would quickly transform into a raging fire that could completely consume her body and reason. 0

A gust of night wind blew by, causing both of them to shiver involuntarily. They were both soaked through but had been too absorbed in their intense kiss to notice until now; as their passion faded slightly, the chill naturally spread. 0

"We should hurry back and change clothes; otherwise, we'll catch a cold," Xin Yi said as he attempted to stand up. 0

"Mm, help me up," Lijie didn't move. 0

Xin Yi had no choice but to reach out to support her. To his surprise, Lijie was as soft as Shen Shanshan had been during the day; she leaned entirely against him, so he could only lift her up in his arms. 0

"Do you want me to carry you back?" This time Xin Yi took the initiative to ask; he could tell that Lijie clearly wanted to recreate what Shen Shanshan experienced earlier in the day and thought it better to propose it himself. 0

"Let's skip that," Lijie said shyly after being seen through by Xin Yi. "After all, we had one more segment today than she did." 0

Hearing what Lijie said, Xin Yi couldn't help but break into a cold sweat. How could this woman always act like this? Shen Shanshan was understandable, but Lijie in front of him was a ruthless killer who wouldn't blink an eye at murder. How could she also be such a delicate woman? Those she had killed would probably rise from their coffins to hang themselves again if they saw her like this. 0

The night wind was cool, and Lijie kept holding onto Xin Yi's arm, snuggling closely against him as if afraid of the cold, or like a child tightly clutching something precious, fearing it would slip away if she loosened her grip. 0

Back in the room, Xin Yi faced another dilemma. During the day, Shen Shanshan had wrapped herself in a bedsheet because she had no clothes to change into. Now what about Lijie? Should he ask her to wrap herself in a bedsheet too? 0

It seemed Lijie sensed Xin Yi's thoughts and said to him, "Just find me a longer piece of clothing." 0

Xin Yi pulled out one of his shirts. "Is this okay?" 0

"Yes." Lijie took the shirt and turned to enter the bathroom. Soon, the sound of running water could be heard. 0

After the water stopped, Xin Yi heard the bathroom door open, followed by Lijie's voice calling out, "Xin Yi, turn around!" 0

As soon as Xin Yi turned around, he felt a gust of wind pass by him. A white figure quickly slipped onto his bed and burrowed under the covers. "Okay, you can turn back now," Lijie's voice rang out again. 0

When Xin Yi turned back to look, he saw Lijie lying snugly in his bed, with only her head exposed, smiling at him. 0

"Why are you on my bed?" Xin Yi asked, feeling overwhelmed. 0

"There's only one bed here; where else should I sleep?" Lijie replied with a smile directed at Xin Yi. 0

That smile completely disarmed Xin Yi's irritation. "Sleep wherever you want; I’ll just sleep on the floor." He picked up his clothes and went into the bathroom. 0

After quickly washing up and getting dressed, Xin Yi returned to the room. Seeing him come back, Lijie shifted her body from the center of the bed towards the edge, indicating that she was making space for him. After moving over, Lijie's face flushed bright red; this hint couldn't have been more obvious—it was tantamount to silently agreeing for Xin Yi to share the bed with her. She hurriedly pulled up the blanket and covered her head. 0

Seeing Lijie's hint made Xin Yi feel awkward as well. Although he had accepted her both emotionally and physically since their encounter at Xin Manor and their passionate kiss by the lake today, it didn't mean they had reached a level of complete openness. Thus, he stood at the edge of the bed, feeling stuck between two choices. 0

Noticing that Xin Yi hadn't moved for a long time, Lijie lifted the blanket just enough to peek out at him with a flushed face and gently asked, "Why aren't you coming to bed?" 0

"This... isn't it inappropriate? I think I'll just sleep on the floor," Xin Yi stammered. 0

"You're still a man! I'm not afraid as a girl; why are you scared? Do you think I could eat you?" With such ambiguous words coming out of her mouth, Lijie couldn't help but blush again. 0

"I'm afraid I can't control myself," Xin Yi decided to speak honestly. 0

"Lijie" lifted the blanket and sat up with a smile, saying, "What can you do if you can't control yourself?" Wearing "Xin Yi's" shirt, which was slightly oversized, she exuded a lazy and casual charm. At that moment, "Lijie" resembled a ripe peach, radiating a sensual aura. The collar of the shirt was loose enough to reveal glimpses of her fullness beneath, and thinking about what lay beneath the shirt made "Xin Yi" breathe more rapidly. "Lijie's" words undoubtedly conveyed to "Xin Yi": no matter what you do when you can't control yourself, it's all permitted by me. 0

If "Xin Yi" didn't get into bed at this moment, it would seem petty. Resolutely, he threw back the blanket and climbed in. Although he was now on the bed, "Xin Yi" lay stiffly, afraid to move. Faced with such an alluring beauty, even the slightest contact could lead to complete loss of control. 0

However, "Lijie" slithered over like an eel, resting her head on "Xin Yi's" chest. One of her thighs boldly draped over him. She was only wearing "Xin Yi's" shirt, leaving her lower half essentially bare. Coupled with her provocative position against him, any other man would have likely lost control completely. Although "Xin Yi" was also a normal young man, his long training and life of killing had given him extraordinary self-control. Even so, he felt heat coursing through his body and an undeniable reaction in a certain part of him. 0

With her ear pressed against "Xin Yi's" chest, listening to his increasingly rapid heartbeat, "Lijie" thought to herself: "Even if you don't move, your heartbeat says it all." As if encouraged by this realization, she gently unbuttoned one button of "Xin Yi's" shirt and slipped a soft hand inside to caress his firm chest muscles. Her warm hand slowly melted away his rationality... 0

Before he knew it, "Xin Yi's" shirt was completely open. When that enchanting little hand began to slide down to a certain spot, it suddenly hesitated. After tentatively confirming the reality of the situation, "Lijie" let out a soft gasp of surprise and quickly withdrew her restless hand, no longer daring to move. 0

At this point, however, "Xin Yi" had reached a point where he could no longer hold back. He turned around and caught that restless little hand, guiding it back onto the unfinished journey. Although she still feared his strength, seeing the tenderness in "Xin Yi's" eyes made everything else seem less important. Since they were destined to weather the storm together, why not let the storm be even more intense? 0

“Xin Yi, you need to be gentler, okay? I haven't experienced this before,” "Lijie" said softly. 0

“Hmm.” In response to her words were waves of passionate kisses from "Xin Yi". Amidst their entangled lips, the constraints on their bodies flew off one by one like flowers scattered by a heavenly maiden... 0

"Lijie" closed her eyes. Although "Xin Yi" was doing his utmost to cherish her delicately, she still bit her silver teeth and furrowed her brows tightly; this expression pained "Xin Yi". It wasn't until the bitter gave way to sweetness that "Lijie's" brows finally relaxed. Her rosy lips parted slightly as the flush on her face deepened, gradually spreading down her neck and throughout her body... Suddenly, an electrifying shiver coursed through her entire being; every nerve ending trembled intensely as if soaring into the sky—“Lijie” was intoxicated... 0
