“Lu Ziang, do you know the new transfer student? I heard she's a super beauty. But her grades seem to be lacking...” Zhao Zixuan leaned closer to Lu Ziang's ear, her gossiping spirit ignited.
Lu Ziang didn't look up, focused on solving an Advanced Mathematics problem. “I don't know her, not interested.”
However, the next moment, a girl wearing a pink hoodie with a high ponytail and a bright smile appeared at the classroom door, instantly capturing everyone's attention. Except for Lu Ziang. His gaze remained fixed on the exercise book in his hands.
The girl scanned the classroom and finally settled her eyes on the only empty seat in the corner—right next to Lu Ziang. She smiled slyly, ignoring Lu Ziang's cold stare, and walked straight to his side.
With a thud, her backpack was carelessly thrown onto the desk, breaking the tranquility of the classroom. Lu Ziang frowned and looked up at her with some impatience.
To his surprise, the girl was resting her chin on her hand, curiously examining him, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “Wow! You are the legendary Lu Ziang!”
She broke the silence first, clasping her hands in a gesture of respect and speaking in an exaggerated tone, “I've heard so much about you; your name is like thunder!”
Lu Ziang was slightly taken aback but quickly returned to his expressionless demeanor and coldly replied, “Boring.”
With that, he turned away and ignored her.
Su Xingchen was not offended; she merely pouted dismissively. She had already heard that Lu Ziang had a reclusive personality and was unfriendly; it seemed the rumors were indeed true.
She reached into her backpack and pulled out a comic book, reading it as if no one else was around. Sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a golden halo over everything. The classroom was extremely quiet, with only the sound of pen tips scratching against paper.
“Su Xingchen, have you done your physics homework?”
The girl in the front row turned around and asked, "Huh? What homework?" Su Xingchen raised her head, looking confused.
The girl sighed helplessly, "It's the Physics Workbook due today. Did you forget?"
Only then did Su Xingchen remember that there was indeed such a thing. She casually rummaged through her backpack but found no trace of the workbook.
"Um... I forgot to bring it," Su Xingchen said with an awkward smile.
"You..." The girl shook her head in resignation. "The teacher will collect the homework soon, so good luck."
Su Xingchen stuck out her tongue but felt no panic at all. It was just physics homework; she wasn't planning to pay attention in class anyway.
"Su Xingchen, stand up!"
At the podium, the Physics Teacher adjusted his glasses, his stern voice echoing in the classroom. "Tell me, what is the Electromagnetic Induction Law we discussed yesterday?"
Su Xingchen stood up slowly, staring blankly ahead, her mind a complete blank. Electromagnetic Induction Law? What was that?
"Su Xingchen, what's wrong with you? Not paying attention in class and now you can't even answer such a simple question!" The Physics Teacher scolded her with disappointment.
In response to the teacher's criticism, Su Xingchen merely shrugged, appearing indifferent.
"Teacher, my stomach hurts; I need to go to the restroom," Su Xingchen said, clutching her stomach and feigning a pained expression.
The Physics Teacher waved his hand helplessly, "Go ahead."
Su Xingchen felt as if she had been granted amnesty and hurriedly left the classroom. Watching her leave, Lu Ziang shook his head slightly, a hint of an imperceptible smile flashing in his eyes.
