"Cluck, cluck, cluck." When a person is hungry, their brain can't keep up with their stomach. Uncle Xing talked for a long time, and I only caught the gist of it. I glanced out the window and saw that it was almost dark. After finishing his long speech, Uncle Xing got up to pour some tea. 0

"The general idea is this: your predecessor has already achieved success and is listed on the Celestial Rank. By the way, there's an advantage to your position; your Merit is directly linked to heavenly laws and can be calculated at double the rate. This means that what would normally take you a hundred years to accumulate in Merit can now be done in just fifty years. Oh, and before you officially start, you have a three-month internship period. There’s no salary during the internship, but meals are provided." Uncle Xing poured himself some water, took a satisfying sip, and turned to look at me. "You know, even though you're called a temporary worker, your usual tasks are quite relaxed. You won't need to patrol the streets, but there is one requirement: you must be available whenever called. Also, things have been a bit unstable lately, so if you have nothing to do, don't stray too far from the school." 0

"I understand most of it now, Uncle Xing. Can I leave?" I was about to collapse; my stomach was already starting to protest. 0

"Don't rush! I need to explain everything clearly," Uncle Xing said as he took another sip of water and sat back down in his chair, crossing his legs leisurely. 0

Damn it, who wants to keep listening? I'm practically starving! If you put a bowl of noodles and ten pounds of gold in front of me right now—I would unhesitatingly choose the gold! (If you don’t believe me, feel free to bring gold for an experiment.) Who would want a bowl of noodles when they could have ten pounds of gold? How many bowls of noodles could you buy with that? 0

"You'll usually stay here at the university. I've already arranged for you to learn how to be a teacher and find ways to stay at the school later on. The principal here is one of our own; Wenquxing has descended. My words carry weight. I've prepared your student ID and uniform for you; just take them when you leave. You won't need to come to work tomorrow or the day after since it's Saturday. Also, the new students just recruited don't have dorms available anymore, so you'll need to find your own accommodation." Uncle Xing spoke quickly while pulling out a set of uniforms. 0

As expected from a school where Wenquxing is the principal, the university uniform turned out to be a long robe—just like Guo Degang's style. 0

After receiving the uniform, Uncle Xing released his Spell on me. I rubbed my sore feet and my abused stomach while unwrapping the bandage from my head (What was that? There was no bleeding; why was I wrapped up like this?) and walked toward the door. 0

The Department of Physical Education was an independent department (obviously; how could such a department collaborate with others?), with its own entrance and gatekeeper. 0

"I am currently admiring the mountain scenery from the city tower while listening to the chaos outside. Flags fluttering in the air turn out to be soldiers sent by Sima. I once sent someone to inquire about it and learned that Sima's troops were heading west. One reason is that Ma Su lacks talent..." Before I could exit, I heard someone singing opera; why does this taste so similar to Pervert? At the school gate, the old man guarding it was sitting there listening to an opera performance by Yu Kuiti about Zhuge Liang's Empty City Stratagem. 0

"Hey there, sir! What great enthusiasm! May I ask how to get to the school cafeteria?" I tapped on the glass of the old man's window. 0

"Why are you going to the cafeteria so late? Just walk left, turn right at the library, and keep going until you see that three-story building." Indeed, it was almost eight o'clock, and it was completely dark outside. 0

"Hey, didn't the teacher just talk a bit more? His extra words made me really hungry. Alright, thank you, sir, I'm off now." I was quite grateful to this man; without his directions, I might not have found my way. This campus is enormous, even bigger than our village. 0

"Haha, here comes another one. Looks like another apprentice from Old Town. I wonder if his arrival is a blessing or a curse?" After I left, the Old Man showed an expression of mixed emotions. "Anyway, he's definitely more polite than the previous ones. Sigh, I once sent someone to inquire about Sima leading troops westward. One reason is that Ma Su is incompetent and lacks talent..." 0

The quality of the girls at JZ Normal University (which I'll refer to as J University from now on) is quite high. I've already seen quite a few girls on my way, but none of them were wearing what we call school uniforms. I seriously suspect that Uncle Xing is pulling a fast one on me; after all, it's perfectly normal for a child raised by a Pervert to be suspicious. 0

As I walked through the youthful campus, I felt an overwhelming sense of anticipation for the future. Who would have thought that someone who hadn't even completed nine years of compulsory education would suddenly become a university student? Moreover, I had taken on a part-time job as an urban management officer for the Heavenly Bureau of Human Affairs and had opportunities to meet various deities. I was really looking forward to meeting these prominent figures who only existed in moral tales! Just thinking about it made me laugh; I would get to meet many famous deities! I could also deal with all sorts of troublesome situations... uh... and then there's Uncle Xing, this dangerous boss. The scariest part is Xiao Jin... What the hell! Why am I suddenly starting to miss my Broken Taoist Temple and that Pervert? 0

The cafeteria wasn't far away; just a couple of steps and I arrived. 0

At this hour, there weren't many people in the cafeteria; only the cafeteria lady was busy mopping the floor and tidying up chairs. It made sense; university cafeterias probably wouldn't serve late-night snacks. 0

"Excuse me, could you please serve me some rice? I don't want any meat; just a bit of vegetables will do." I've been vegetarian since childhood; first because the Pervert wouldn't let me eat meat, and over time I just couldn't stand the smell of meat anymore. Before I turned ten, I would occasionally eat some meat, but after turning ten, the Pervert started teaching me meditation and Zen practices and gradually introduced me to some Taoist Arts and Spells (Taoist Arts refers to a perfect evolution within Taoism while Spells are various techniques and applications of magical control. In martial arts terms, Taoist Arts is like a complete set of Dragon Subduing Eighteen Palms while Spells are similar to Zhou Botong's dual combat). It was around this time that the Pervert strictly prohibited me from consuming meat but had no issues with alcohol. Unfortunately, I really have no love for alcohol. 0

"Young man, why are you eating so late? Here, let me give you some extra meat." The cafeteria lady seemed ready to finish her shift as she washed the rice bowls while there were still leftover dishes in another bowl. "If you don't eat it, it'll go to waste. Can you imagine how much gets wasted in this university every day? Back in the day..." 0

"Thank you for your kindness, but I can't eat meat," I said politely as always to strangers. 0

"Oh, is that so? Then there's none left. How about this: there's still some noodles here; why don't you make do with that?" 0

"No need to make do; thank you very much." At this point, having something to eat was already good enough; why should I settle for less? The lady was quite enthusiastic; without hesitation, she lit up the stove because it turned out that the noodles needed to be cooked fresh. 0

While the lady was preparing the noodles, I looked around. It was indeed a university; the cafeteria was beautifully decorated, reflecting a cultured atmosphere. Just look at this table, this chair, the walls, the painting on the wall, and that girl in the corner who was eating heartily... 0

Wait, I must be mistaken. This is a university, not a refugee camp. How could a girl eat so much? And her table manners were terrible. 0

The girl looked quite thin, with long hair that obscured her face behind the chicken leg she was holding. Her clothes seemed decent, but the pile of empty bowls on her table really shocked me—how could she look hungrier than I was? No, she definitely looked much hungrier! 0

"This girl has been coming in right before closing for several days now, ordering enough food for a dozen people and finishing it all. Yet she hasn't shown any signs of trouble; her stomach hasn't even changed," the lady said as she placed the noodles in front of me. Noticing my attention on that girl, she lowered her voice and continued, "I wonder how her family would react if they knew their daughter was eating like this outside." 0

Ha! What does that matter? If I told you we have a physical education teacher who is the war god Xingtian from the Ancient Heavenly Court, would you think I was crazy too? And if I mentioned that I got knocked out by a Sister today and was dizzy for three hours, you'd probably want to call a mental hospital on me! For someone like me who has seen storms and tempests, this is nothing! 0

With the inscrutable smile characteristic of an hermit Master, I picked up my noodles but was called back by the lady. 0

"Hey, hey, hey! You haven't paid yet!" 0

What? I have to pay? But I'm completely broke! Oh heavens, help me out here! Please send me a Sister to help pay! 0
