They carefully groped forward with the light of the flashlight.
Suddenly, a sound of footsteps came from ahead, mixed with a few low voices.
"They're over there!" Tu Shen whispered sharply and rushed forward first.
Chen Shuhua and Jack followed closely behind, charging into a spacious factory. The factory was brightly lit, and dozens of fierce-looking men armed with weapons were attacking several police officers.
"Drop your weapons; you are surrounded!" Tu Shen shouted loudly, aiming his gun at the men.
However, the men ignored Tu Shen's warning and fired even more frantically at the police. The sounds of gunfire, shouts, and screams mixed together, echoing throughout the factory.
"Damn it, we've been set up! They were prepared!" Jack cursed as he fired back while looking for cover.
Chen Shuhua hid behind a concrete pillar, observing the situation around him.
He noticed that the men's weapons were well-equipped and they were clearly well-trained, obviously not ordinary criminals.
"They're not just any Organ Trafficking Gang; there must be a larger force behind them," Chen Shuhua thought to himself, realizing that this operation was more dangerous than he had imagined.
At that moment, Chen Shuhua noticed a tall man standing at the back of the crowd, holding a sniper rifle and aiming at Tu Shen.
"Tu Shen, watch out!" Chen Shuhua shouted as he rushed out without hesitation, lunging towards Tu Shen.
"Bang!"
The sniper rifle let out a deafening gunshot, and the bullet whizzed past Chen Shuhua's ear, hitting the wall behind him.
"Chen Shuhua!" Tu Shen was startled by the sudden turn of events. He watched helplessly as Chen Shuhua collapsed onto him, blood staining Chen Shuhua's clothes.
"Are you okay?" Tu Shen asked anxiously, checking Chen Shuhua's body. He found that Chen Shuhua had not been hit by the bullet but was only injured on the arm by flying debris.
"I'm fine, be careful!" Chen Shuhua pushed Tu Shen away, struggling to get back on his feet.
However, at that moment, Chen Shuhua suddenly felt darkness enveloping him, his body lost control, and he fell heavily to the ground.
"Chen Shuhua!" Tu Shen exclaimed, quickly gathering Chen Shuhua in his arms.
"I... I..." Chen Shuhua tried to speak but couldn't make a sound. His consciousness gradually faded, and everything before him turned dark.
"Chen Shuhua! Chen Shuhua!" Tu Shen shook Chen Shuhua vigorously, trying to wake him up, but Chen Shuhua showed no response, his eyes tightly closed and breathing weak.
"Damn it!" Tu Shen cursed under his breath. He looked around and saw that the police had been suppressed by the militants; the situation was dire. He picked up Chen Shuhua and ran towards a police car.
"Hurry, get in!" Tu Shen shoved Chen Shuhua into the car and climbed in himself, starting the engine.
The police car screeched as it burst through the encirclement and sped towards the hospital.
"Hold on, Chen Shuhua, we're almost at the hospital," Tu Shen said while driving, but there was a barely noticeable tremor in his voice.
...
"Doctor, how is he?" Tu Shen asked anxiously.
"The patient has lost too much blood, and with the head injury, his condition is critical. He needs surgery immediately," the doctor said quickly while examining Chen Shuhua's body.
"Please, you have to save him!" Tu Shen pleaded.
The doctor nodded and turned to enter the operating room.
Tu Shen leaned weakly against the wall, filled with guilt and worry. He didn't understand why Chen Shuhua had suddenly collapsed, nor did he know if Chen Shuhua would pull through this crisis.
Time passed slowly, and the lights in the operating room remained on as Tu Shen's heart grew heavier.
...
Finally, the lights in the operating room went out, and the doctor walked out.
"Doctor, how is he?" Tu Shen rushed forward and asked urgently.
"The surgery was successful; the patient is no longer in life-threatening danger, but..." The doctor paused slightly at this point.
