Li Ye spent two days solidifying his realm. During this time, Gao Zhendong visited the Azure Flower Pavilion to see Liu Fei. However, since Liu Fei had lost his soul and acted mechanically, any encounter between them would surely reveal the truth. The evil spirit sneered inwardly but maintained a respectful demeanor on his face: "I see now; Lord Liu indeed has grand ambitions. We will do our utmost to ensure that the sacrifices proceed smoothly."
Gao Zhendong nodded in satisfaction: "Good. Continue according to plan and do not make any mistakes. I will come regularly to check on the progress." With that, he turned and left the Azure Flower Pavilion.
The Evil Spirit watched Gao Zhendong leave, pondering to itself, "Liu Zhang's ambition is indeed vast; it seems this conspiracy is far more complex than I imagined." It then withdrew from Liu Fei's body and returned to Li Ye's sea of consciousness.
Li Ye communicated with the Evil Spirit about the information gathered during this encounter, his resolve to expose the conspiracy growing stronger: "Since Liu Zhang's goals are so audacious, we must quickly find more evidence to completely dismantle his plans."
A smile crept onto his lips as he looked at the Evil Spirit and asked, "Since you can occupy Liu Fei's body, why not just take over her completely? Why bother occupying my body?"
The Evil Spirit rolled its eyes and arrogantly replied, "My soul is fused with yours; I can't stay away from your body for long without consuming soul power. Do you think I wouldn't want to find a corpse to revive myself? Besides, I'm a man of great stature! I don't want to live again only to end up in a woman's body!"
Li Ye chuckled in disbelief, but he knew there was truth in the Evil Spirit's words. Their fates were tightly intertwined; escaping from each other was simply impossible. Li Ye thought for a moment and asked, "So what should we do next? I believe we need to take action."
