After the battle, Li Ye and his group rushed towards Gao Zhendong's residence with Zhang Tianba and Wang Meng. At that moment, Liu Zhang's henchman Cao Hu had just received the news of Gao Zhendong's defeat. The two accused each other fiercely, exposing each other's crimes. Li Ye and those present were left dumbfounded by the sheer number and severity of their misdeeds.
Li Ye coldly observed this farce and had already made a decision in his heart: "Gao Zhendong and Cao Hu, your crimes are truly too numerous to count. Today marks the end of your days of wrongdoing!"
The evil spirit controlling Liu Fei's body licked its lips with a cold smile and said, "Quickly finish the process; I want to eat! Souls! Give them to me! I'm hungry!"
Seeing this, Cao Hu realized there was no escape left. He cried out in despair and knelt on the ground pleading, "Heroes, please spare me! Spare me! I am willing to reveal more secrets; I only seek a way to survive!"

Zhang Tianba and Wang Meng immediately ordered the Bat Gang's subordinates to escort Gao Zhendong and Cao Hu's corpses along with a group of Gao Zhendong's Guards up to the city tower. Early the next morning, amidst the cheers of the Common People, Gao Zhendong, Cao Hu, and a group of Guards were collectively executed. The Bat Gang was officially renamed Qingyang Gang, and Zhang Tianba took over as the general of Qingyang City. With public support behind him, the situation gradually stabilized.
Subsequently, through the memories of Cao Hu and others' souls, the evil spirit wrote a handwritten letter to Liu Zhang under the identity of Liu Fei. The content was roughly as follows:
"Sir, Gao Zhendong and Cao Hu have failed in their duties and have been executed by traitors. My subordinates have remained hidden well and have not been discovered. Liu Zhang was unaware that Liu Fei had been controlled by Li Ye and did not even know of Li Ye's existence. Without suspicion, he indeed requested an imperial decree for Zhang Tianba's appointment from the court.
The situation in Qingyang City gradually returned to stability. Under Li Ye's planning, Qingyang Gang gradually gained support from the people and became the new guardian force of Qingyang City. At this moment, the two women exchanged glances. Yan Yuchen blushed and whispered in Zhiruo's ear, "I've already called you sister; you should just say it."
Zhiruo hesitated awkwardly for a moment, nodded, and timidly looked at Li Ye, saying, "Brother Ye, we... we have something we want to ask you."
