Zhiruo and Yan Yuchen had to enter the mountains to collect rare medicinal materials, and as an injured person, Lan Xi could not follow them and had to wait at the foot of the mountain. Zhiruo was reluctant to leave Lan Xi alone, so after weighing the pros and cons, she decided to have Specter and Liu Fei, two zombies, accompany them into the mountains. Li Ye would stay outside with Lan Xi. After all, the biggest threats in the mountains were merely wild beasts like wolves and leopards, which posed much less danger compared to living humans. The two zombies, along with Zhiruo and Yan Yuchen, would be sufficient to handle any situation. If Li Ye encountered trouble, he could rely on the power of the evil spirit to protect himself.
Lying on the ground, Lan Xi secretly calculated how to implement her plan. She deliberately let out a painful groan to attract Li Ye's attention. Seeing this, Li Ye felt a stir in his heart and approached to examine her injury. He crouched down, trying to help lift Lan Xi, but he was drawn in by her frail body.
"Don't move; let me see your wound," said Li Ye, attempting to adjust Lan Xi's clothing to check her injury.

Taken aback for a moment, Li Ye looked into Lan Xi's pleading eyes and felt a complex emotion surge within him. After hesitating for a moment, he reached out and gently held Lan Xi in his arms.
"Is this okay?" he asked softly, trying to keep his voice calm.
Nestled in Li Ye's embrace, Lan Xi whispered, "Thank you, Li Ye. I know you have a kind heart; I just... I just feel that you all are so good to me that it makes me feel... very warm."
With a slight frown, Li Ye felt wary yet found it hard to doubt such a fragile woman. He gently patted Lan Xi's back and comforted her: "Don't worry; we will take care of you."
Lan Xi felt the warmth of Li Ye, a faint smile of satisfaction appearing on her face, but inside she was sneering. She knew she had successfully taken the first step; next, she would gradually dismantle this small group, causing the two women’s trust in Li Ye to completely collapse.

Lan Xi felt secretly pleased, knowing her plan was progressing smoothly. She continued to pretend to be weak and helpless while quietly observing Li Ye's reactions and preparing for her next move. She had to be more cautious and meticulous to fully gain Li Ye's trust and complete the task assigned to her by Liu Zhang.
