Lan Xi pretended to feel unwell and said to Li Ye, "Brother Li Ye, I don't know why, but my heart races so fast when I see you. Now that it's just the two of us, my heart is racing even faster. If you don't believe me, come feel it." As she spoke, she took Li Ye's hand and placed it on her chest.

A hint of jealousy flashed in Zhiruo's eyes as she quickly walked up to Lan Xi and without hesitation slapped her across the face. The sound of the slap was crisp and loud, causing Lan Xi to stagger and fall to the ground, her eyes filled with a mix of grievance and shock.
Zhiruo looked down at Lan Xi, anger boiling over as she said, "You shameless hussy! I treated you kindly, and you took advantage of my absence to seduce my Brother Ye!"
Lan Xi covered her reddened face, tears welling in her eyes as she weakly explained, "Miss Zhiruo, you misunderstand. I just wanted Brother Li Ye to feel... my intentions..."
"Feel what?" Yan Yuchen also approached, displeased as she pulled Li Ye aside and scolded him, "Young Master, isn't having us both enough for you?"
Caught between the two women questioning him from both sides, Li Ye felt a headache coming on. He helplessly looked at Zhiruo and Yan Yuchen, saying, "Calm down. Lan Xi is just feeling unwell; there's no need for violence."
However, Zhiruo was relentless, still fuming: "She's doing this on purpose! Brother Ye, how can you not see that?"

Despite being exhausted from the nightly "entertainment," Li Ye remained resolute in his heart. Enduring his physical fatigue while continuing his cultivation, he had already reached Peak Foundation Establishment; although his strength had greatly increased, he knew it was still far from enough.
Looking at the two women beside him who were worried about him, Li Ye felt a mix of gratitude and guilt in his heart. He silently vowed to protect them and not let them come to any harm.
