The long night was filled with love and joy in Li Ye's room. Zhiruo and Yan Yuchen had already reached a consensus during dinner: they must not give Lan Xi even the slightest chance to have alone time with Li Ye, nor allow Li Ye to develop any interest in her. They decided to exhaust all of Li Ye's energy tonight to ensure he had no time to think about anyone else.
Inside the room, the lighting was soft, and the two women tenderly attended to Li Ye. Zhiruo whispered softly, "Brother Ye, we won't let you escape easily tonight." Yan Yuchen smiled brightly beside her, gently stroking Li Ye's chest as she said, "Young Master, we will show no mercy."
Li Ye felt their affection and determination, responding with a smile, "You two little enchantresses are truly hard to resist." The three of them were immersed in sweet joy, and the room was filled with laughter.
In the next room, Lan Xi listened to the sounds coming from next door with a complicated mood, feeling ripples of emotion within her. She lay on her bed, tossing and turning, feeling both jealousy and restlessness. Reflecting on the journey so far, she realized she had developed an undeniable feeling for Li Ye. Although she knew this was just part of her mission, she could not control the fluttering in her heart.
Lan Xi felt restless and thought to herself, "These three are really full of energy. Even though they were intimate every night while traveling, they still held back a bit. Now that they're staying at an inn, they're playing even more recklessly." The more she thought about it, the more excited she became, repeatedly telling herself, "This is a sacrifice made for the important mission assigned by Lord Liu Zhang! That's right! For the mission!"
Finally, Lan Xi made a bold decision. She quietly got up, tidied her clothes, took a deep breath, and gently knocked on the door of the next room. The sounds of merriment inside abruptly stopped; Li Ye and the two women exchanged glances, unsure who would disturb them at this hour.
"Who is it?" Li Ye asked, his voice tinged with annoyance.
"It's me, Lan Xi." Lan Xi's voice trembled slightly but carried a sense of determination.
Zhiruo and Yan Yuchen exchanged glances, their brows furrowing in caution. They knew Lan Xi was not an ordinary woman; her late-night visit must have ulterior motives. Zhiruo spoke up, "Lan Xi, it's quite late. Can we discuss this tomorrow?"
Lan Xi bit her lip and said softly, "I'm sorry; I have something I want to say to Li Ye." Her voice was filled with resolve and sincerity.
Li Ye hesitated for a moment before looking at the two women: "Let her in; let's see what she wants." Although Zhiruo and Yan Yuchen were reluctant, they nodded since they understood that Lan Xi wouldn't act recklessly.
The door opened gently as Lan Xi stepped into the room. She saw Li Ye and the two women on the bed with slightly flushed faces but mustered her courage to say, "I know you have your suspicions about me, but I truly just want to help you. I realize my previous actions may have caused misunderstandings, so I want to prove my sincerity."
She spoke as she slowly unfastened her clothing, revealing a patch of snow-white skin. Li Ye looked at Lan Xi in surprise, unsure of what she was trying to do. Zhiruo and Yan Yuchen were even more furious, almost ready to rush forward to stop her.
Lan Xi hurriedly explained, "Please don't misunderstand me. I just want to show you that I pose no threat to you. I am willing to prove my sincerity with my own body; I only ask that you believe me."
Li Ye was taken aback, feeling a mix of emotions. He looked at Lan Xi, both shocked and somewhat pained. "Lan Xi, you don't have to do this. We believe you are sincere."
Zhiruo and Yan Yuchen were taken aback, not expecting her to go this far. Although they were displeased with Lan Xi's actions, they couldn't help but acknowledge her determination and courage. Yan Yuchen calmly said, "Lan Xi, we don't need you to go to such lengths. We love each other, which is why we are here today. If you truly want to help us, we will give you the opportunity to prove yourself, but not in this way."
Seeing the reactions of Li Ye and the two women, Lan Xi felt a sense of relief. She tidied her clothes and softly said, "Thank you for your trust; I will prove myself through my actions."
That night, although Lan Xi's bold actions did not succeed, they left a deep impression on Li Ye and the two women. The three of them decided to give her a chance to demonstrate her loyalty through action. Lan Xi also understood that her mission was far from complete; the road ahead remained full of challenges.
Inside the room was a different lively scene. Zhiruo sat on Li Ye's lap with an unhappy expression, pouting as she said, "Look at you, looking so pleased. Tell me, are you wanting Lan Xi?"
Li Ye stared with innocent eyes and quickly explained, "No! I swear I didn't expect her to come in and undress!"
Seeing this, Li Ye quickly changed the subject: "Have you considered that this might be your fault? What if it was because you were too loud?"
Zhiruo pretended to be angry as she slapped Li Ye's chest lightly: "Oh really? Now you're blaming us? Today I shall punish you on behalf of the moon for being such a big pig!"
Yan Yuchen giggled in agreement: "Young master, stop making excuses. It's because you always play the hero saving beautiful women that brought this Lan Xi upon us."
Li Ye helplessly spread his hands: "This is unfair! This time it was truly an accident!"
The two women exchanged a sly smile, a glimmer of mischief in their eyes. In unison, they said, "Since that's the case, let's begin tonight's second round of the 'squeeze dry' plan!"
Li Ye smiled helplessly, yet his heart was filled with warmth and love. He knew that these two women before him were not only his partners but also his guardians. Despite their occasional playful banter, the bond they shared was unshakeable.
Zhiruo gently kissed Li Ye's lips and whispered, "Brother Ye, remember, no matter what happens, we will always be by your side."
Yan Yuchen also leaned in tenderly, whispering close to Li Ye's ear, "Young Master, we will never leave you."
Li Ye felt their affection and was filled with gratitude and happiness. He gently embraced the two women and said softly, "I will not leave you either; we will always be together."
That night, the room was once again filled with joyful sounds. The three of them immersed themselves in sweet moments, forgetting the turmoil and schemes of the outside world. They knew that no matter how difficult the road ahead might be, as long as they were together, they could overcome any challenge.
Meanwhile, in the adjacent room, Lan Xi listened to it all, her jealousy and impatience growing stronger. She tossed and turned, her mind constantly replaying Li Ye's image and his tenderness towards her; it was destined to be a sleepless night. One thought consumed Lan Xi's mind: how could she join them... no... complete the mission?
