The dawn broke brightly as Li Ye awoke from his slumber. His robust physique, comparable to that of a young beast, allowed him to quickly regain his energy. He sprang up from the bed with vigor and prepared breakfast for himself and the two women. Li Ye moved gracefully and swiftly, with the morning light streaming into the room, illuminating every corner. After preparing breakfast, he gently called out to Zhiruo and Yan Yuchen.
Zhiruo and Yan Yuchen slowly opened their sleepy eyes in the warm sunlight. Zhiruo's long hair cascaded like a waterfall over her pillow as she stretched, revealing her slender arms and graceful curves. Yan Yuchen turned over lazily, blinking her eyes; her gaze sparkled like morning dew, radiating an enchanting glow. For a moment, both appeared languid yet beautiful, resembling ethereal spirits in the morning light.
After the three finished breakfast, Li Ye looked at the two women with determination. "We should leave Maplewood City now."
Zhiruo and Yan Yuchen exchanged glances and nodded. They understood that after Li Ye had slain Mo Tianxing yesterday, the court would soon issue a warrant for him. However, they both knew that Li Ye had already severed ties with the court.
Upon reaching the city gate, Li Ye saw Chen Hu, Liu Chengfeng, and Su Yue waiting there. Liu Chengfeng stepped forward and cupped his hands in greeting. "Brother Li, we have all heard about what happened at the lord's mansion yesterday. I do not believe the rumors about you killing Mo Tianxing; I ask you to explain it to me personally."
Li Ye raised an eyebrow and disdainfully replied, "I don't need to explain myself! If you trust me, then don't obstruct me!"
Zhiruo frowned; she knew that Void Night's soul had influenced Li Ye's temperament to some extent. She tightened her grip on Li Ye's arm and stepped forward to bow to Liu Chengfeng, beginning to explain the situation.
Standing beside Li Ye, Zhiruo's eyes were clear and resolute as she took a deep breath and began recounting last night's events. "Brother Liu, what happened last night was indeed extraordinary. After pondering for a moment, Liu Chengfeng nodded again and then bowed deeply. "We are willing to follow Brother Li in pursuing great matters to restore peace to this world!"
A glimmer of appreciation flashed in Li Ye's eyes as he patted Liu Chengfeng on the shoulder. "Good! Let's work hard together."
Yan Yuchen and Zhiruo also smiled with relief; they knew that a more challenging journey lay ahead, but with these loyal allies by their side, their confidence soared.
Chen Hu donned his Thunder Fist gloves and clashed his fists together while looking at Yan Yuchen with a pitiful expression. "Master, you really hurt my feelings! I'm your disciple, yet you didn’t even inform me before leaving!" As he said this, Chen Hu couldn't help but burst into tears—a two-meter-tall muscle man crying uncontrollably—"Master! Are you going to irresponsibly abandon your disciple?"
Yan Yuchen felt embarrassed at Chen Hu's antics; his behavior was infuriating at that moment. However, everyone else couldn't help but laugh heartily. Chen Hu broke the heavy atmosphere, and amidst laughter, they all left Maplewood City.
Su Yue curiously asked Li Ye, "Brother Li, what are your plans next?"
Li Ye pondered for a moment before saying, "First, I need to deal with Wei Chenghao; that brat must pay blood debts for the people of Qingyang City."
Liu Chengfeng looked at Li Ye, frowning slightly. The perceptive Zhiruo noticed Liu Chengfeng's confusion and stepped forward to explain, "Brother Liu, Li Ye's soul has completely fused with Void Night's soul. They are now one entity and cannot be separated. Although Void Night's presence has influenced some of Li Ye's personality, he is still the Li Ye we know."

As they arrived at a small tavern, the group decided to go in and rest for a while. Just as Li Ye stepped into the tavern, he spotted a familiar figure—Shen Jiuniang. Shen Jiuniang was drinking alone and seemed unaware of their arrival. Recognizing her as someone from the Bat Gang in Qingyang City, Li Ye felt a pang of sympathy and concern and approached her to greet her, "Oh! Isn't this Miss Shen? I didn't expect to see you here."
Shen Jiuniang was momentarily taken aback. When she looked up and saw Li Ye, she was so shocked that her wine cup fell to the ground. She forced out a smile, "Li... Li Young Master, what a... coincidence."
Li Ye chuckled and pulled out a chair to sit down. "Miss Shen, why are you so scared to see me? It's quite fortunate that you managed to survive from Qingyang City."
Shen Jiuniang's eyes flickered as she forced herself to agree, "Yes... I didn't expect to still be alive to see you all."
Zhiruo asked with concern, "Miss Shen, how have you been these days?"
Shen Jiuniang managed a faint smile. "It's okay; just that life has been a bit difficult."
Yan Yuchen chimed in, "That day was too dangerous; we survived purely by luck. Miss Shen, how did you manage to escape?"
Shen Jiuniang clearly hesitated, her gaze shifting uncertainly. "I... I saw things were going badly at the time and took advantage of the chaos to escape. As for the specifics... I can't remember too clearly."
Li Ye frowned slightly, feeling suspicious. He pressed on with more questions: "Miss Shen, which direction did you escape from that day? Wei Chenghao was slaughtering the city; it should have been surrounded. It's quite lucky that you managed to get out."
