Li Ye opened his eyes, and the scene before him left him momentarily stunned. Void Night stood in front of him, while on the other side, his eight-year-old self stood next to Void Night. For a moment, the three of them stared at each other.
Void Night was the first to speak, "What the hell? What is going on?" He looked incredulous, his gaze shifting between the two Li Yes.
Eight-Year-Old Li Ye widened his eyes and shouted at Void Night, "Evil spirit! What is your scheme?"
Meanwhile, the current Li Ye looked at his two selves in confusion and frowned, "Can one of you explain what the hell is going on here?"
Void Night rolled his eyes and glanced at Eight-Year-Old Li Ye, "Kid, do you even know what an evil spirit is? You really need to read more."
Eight-Year-Old Li Ye stood tall and declared, "I don't care what you are; good will triumph over evil! I will defeat you!"
Li Ye scratched his head, looking somewhat helplessly at both of his selves, "Alright, alright, stop arguing. I really don't understand what's happening here. What are you two talking about? Void Night, why do you look like that?"
Void Night shrugged, "I'm just as confused as you are. I was pulled here out of nowhere and ended up seeing two of you. What exactly did you do?"
Eight-Year-Old Li Ye puffed out his chest, "Whether enemy or friend, I won't let any unjust acts go unpunished!"
Void Night sneered, "Kid, maybe you should figure out the situation first before making declarations."
Li Ye sighed and shook his head, "I'm really at a loss here. Since none of us knows what's going on, let's stop this nonsense. Void Night, just tell me honestly what you're up to."
Void Night held up his hands innocently and said, "I swear I'm not up to anything; this place is strange and I can't make sense of it either."
Eight-Year-Old Li Ye clenched his fists tightly, "We must unite and stand against all evil forces!"
Li Ye helplessly rubbed his forehead and said, "Alright, enough with the slogans. We need to figure out what's going on here and see if there are any other clues."
Void Night nodded in agreement, "Right, let's clarify the situation first. I don't want to stay in this strange place any longer."
Eight-Year-Old Li Ye also calmed down a bit and nodded seriously, "Okay, let's find out the truth together."

Li Ye shook his head and turned to Void Night, asking, "Are you really you?"
Void Night frowned and looked at Li Ye impatiently, "Of course, who else would I be?"
Li Ye shook his head again and looked at his eight-year-old self, "Are you me?"
Eight-Year-Old Li Ye paused for a moment before answering, "Yes, but also no."
Li Ye nodded and chuckled lightly, "That's right; you are me, but you can't possibly be me."
Void Night shook his neck in annoyance, "What kind of riddle are you playing at?"
Li Ye turned to Void Night and said firmly, "You know the answer too, don't you? You're just waiting for me to say it."
Void Night squinted and smiled, "Kid, did you figure it out?"
Li Ye nodded and bowed deeply to Void Night and his eight-year-old self, "Thank you both."
Void Night gave Li Ye a light smack on the back of his head and said irritably, "Cut out the fluff and give me some answers, so I don't have to waste my time here."
Li Ye looked at Void Night and shook his head, "Alright, you are both former versions of 'me'. I am now Li Ye, as well as Void Night, embodying both the wild Void Night and the righteous Li Ye. So you are me, but not me; you are yourselves. I want to thank you because without you, there wouldn't be the current me. However, I have a question: Void Night, why didn't you erase Li Ye's consciousness to take over this body for your rebirth? Instead, you chose to merge with his consciousness to create the current me?"
Void Night sighed and then sneered, "I've lived too long. Even if I were to be reborn, it would just be retracing my previous invincible path—too boring. Now that there's a new you, this soul and body have infinite possibilities! I enjoy exploring the unknown. Besides, I think this state is quite good. Let me see how far you can go in the future; don't disappoint me!"
Li Ye nodded and smiled, "I won't let you down!"

Li Ye twitched his mouth and looked at Void Night, "Was I that annoying before?"
Void Night laughed heartily, "What do you think you are? You were driving me crazy! Alright, go back now; the past versions of you and me are just that—past. Kid, carve out your own path!"
Li Ye took a deep breath and nodded with a smile, "I understand. Thank you both, the past versions of yourselves are also the past me. Now it's time to embrace the future."
As Li Ye finished speaking, the figures of Void Night and Eight-Year-Old Li Ye gradually became blurry and eventually dissipated into thin air. The scene before him began to twist as if a thin mist was lifted, and Li Ye's consciousness returned to the real world.
He opened his eyes and smiled, "I'm back!"
Mo Yun arrived with Zhiruo and Yan Yuchen, who hurriedly embraced Li Ye. Yan Yuchen nodded in agreement, "Young Master, you mean a lot to us too."
Li Ye smiled and patted their shoulders, "Don't worry, I'll always protect you. After all, you are my women."

She kissed Zhiruo and Yan Yuchen, saying, "Don't rush; Liu Chengfeng and the others haven't passed the first trial yet!"
