The arrow drew an elegant arc in the sky, like a silver dragon dancing in the air, announcing the official start of the hunting competition.
Upon seeing this, the crowd immediately rushed into the arena, their blood boiling, and the sound of horses filled the air. And so, a hunting competition aimed at fostering harmony began in the forest outside Qingli City, with Mo Hansheng and Nan Qiang quickly entering the arena.
"Young Master, why aren't you in a hurry?" Seeing Mo Hansheng looking confident, Nan Qiang couldn't help but ask.
Mo Hansheng looked at the surging crowd and galloping horses ahead, a hint of disdain curling at the corners of his mouth. "Hmph! A bunch of rabble! Dealing with them is as easy as crushing an ant," he scoffed.
However, at that moment, Mo Hansheng's gaze suddenly sharpened as he locked onto a familiar figure—Nangong Liyue. His interest piqued, a glint of amusement flashed in his eyes. "It seems this hunt won't be so boring after all," Mo Hansheng murmured to himself, his eyes sparkling with cunning.
He instantly discarded his previous nonchalance, replaced by focus and seriousness. He turned to Nan Qiang and commanded, "Nan Qiang! Stay close! The prey has arrived!" As soon as Mo Hansheng's words fell, the two sprang into action, moving through the forest like shadows, heading straight for Nangong Liyue. They followed Liyue into a grove of trees.
"Young Master, it's over there," whispered the guard Bai Ying next to Li Yue, pointing to the white fox in the woods.
"Shh, speak softly, don't scare it away," Li Yue said quietly.
Just as Li Yue was about to shoot the arrow, the white fox suddenly got startled and fled deep into the woods.
Li Yue immediately leaped onto the horse and shouted, "Chase after it! This beautiful white fox would make a perfect fur collar for my father."
Mo Hansheng followed suit, only to find that Li Yue's horse had stopped by the roadside, riderless. Mo Hansheng was alarmed and immediately realized that something was amiss. He looked around for Li Yue's figure, but she was nowhere to be seen. Even her guard, Bai Ying, was missing, and only the startled white fox was still fleeing through the woods.
"Nan Qiang! Split up and search!" Mo Hansheng ordered, turning around.
Nan Qiang nodded and immediately turned to search, heading deep into the woods along a small path. Mo Hansheng chose another path, and the two of them searched for Li Yue and Bai Ying in the dense thicket.
Mo Hansheng made his way through the trees, carefully observing the surroundings. After about half an hour, Nan Qiang suddenly ran out from the other side of the woods, "I found them, Young Master! Come quickly!" he shouted.
Mo Hansheng quickened his pace and rushed to where Nan Qiang was. When he arrived, he saw Nan Qiang standing next to a large tree, with Li Yue and Bai Ying standing in a trap next to the tree. The two of them appeared unharmed, but a bit disheveled.
"What's wrong with you? How did you fall in?" Mo Hansheng looked at Li Yue and asked.
Li Yue looked at Mo Hansheng in front of her, with a hint of surprise and doubt in her eyes. She frowned and asked back, "Why is it you? Aren't you a merchant from Wuyan City?"
Upon hearing Li Yue's question, Mo Hansheng's face showed a slight smile. He shook his head and explained, "I am not a merchant from Wuyan City, I am... I am the Young Master of Wuyan City, my name is Wu Yunxiao. I lied to you before to avoid revealing my identity, I'm sorry. Come up first."
Li Yue was a little surprised to hear Mo Hansheng's explanation. At that moment, Bai Ying also climbed out of the trap and stood silently to the side.
"Are you... are you the Young Master of Wuyan City?" Li Yue furrowed her brow and asked, her face showing an expression of disbelief.

So they followed Mo Hansheng out of the area where the trap was located. Mo Hansheng took care to cover the trap with branches and leaves to prevent others from falling into it again. They walked cautiously, afraid of triggering other traps.
After leaving the trap, they entered a dense forest. In the forest, the trees cast dancing shadows, and sunlight filtered through the leaves, creating dappled light and shadow. Mo Hansheng, or rather Wu Yunxiao, led Li Yue and Bai Ying through the woods.
"This is the outskirts of the hunting ground," Wu Yunxiao explained. "It's dangerous outside the hunting ground, with frequent appearances of fierce beasts and many unknown dangers."
Li Yue couldn't help but feel a little scared at the words. She had no idea about Mo Hansheng's identity before, thinking he was just an ordinary merchant, but it turned out he was the Young Master of Wuyan City. This change in status caught her off guard.

Li Yue also reacted immediately, following closely behind. They ran with all their might, attempting to escape the bear's pursuit. However, the bear's speed was astonishingly fast, and it soon caught up to them. Seeing this, Wu Yunxiao turned to face the bear, attempting to block its path. "You go first! Nan Qiang and I will hold it off!" Wu Yunxiao shouted.
Li Yue was pulled forward by Bai Ying, and when Li Yue turned around, Wu Yunxiao was already engaged in a fierce battle with the black bear. His movements were agile and swift, truly living up to his reputation as the war god of Mo-Cang City. However, the black bear's strength was astonishing, with each swipe of its claws being potentially lethal. Despite Wu Yunxiao's desperate resistance, he was still injured in several places.
Just then, Li Yue and Bai Ying finally reached the hunting ground. Looking back, they saw Wu Yunxiao still locked in combat with the black bear, his figure appearing and disappearing among the trees. Li Yue felt a surge of anxiety and immediately turned to run towards Wu Yunxiao.
"Wu Yunxiao! How are you?" Li Yue shouted.
Wu Yunxiao saw Li Yue return and thought to himself, "What a silly girl." He shook his head and forced a smile, saying, "I'm fine, you go first, I'll be right there."
But Li Yue refused to leave, drew her bow and arrow, and said, "What are you saying! Let's fight together!" Bai Ying also stepped forward to help.
Seeing Li Yue with such a determined look, Wu Yunxiao unexpectedly felt a warm feeling in his heart. "Alright! Let's fight together!" Wu Yunxiao said, gripping his long sword, ready to continue battling the black bear. Li Yue nodded, took a deep breath, and began fighting the bear.
The black bear seemed to have angered Wu Yunxiao and Li Yue as well. It roared and waved its huge bear paws, charging towards the two. Wu Yunxiao and Li Yue quickly dodged, while Nan Qiang and Bai Ying immediately launched their attacks. Wu Yunxiao's long sword left a series of wounds on the black bear, and Li Yue's arrows accurately hit the bear's eyes.
The black bear roared in pain, but it did not give up its attack. It swung its paws fiercely towards the two. Wu Yunxiao and Li Yue closely coordinated, one dodging, the other attacking, constantly wearing down the bear's strength.
After a fierce battle, the black bear finally succumbed to exhaustion and fell to the ground. Wu Yunxiao and Li Yue were also exhausted, but they knew they had successfully defeated this fierce black bear.
"Are you okay?" Wu Yunxiao asked with concern.
"I'm fine," Li Yue shook her head and gave a tired but satisfied smile. "Thank you, Wu Yunxiao."
Wu Yunxiao looked at her, feeling an indescribable emotion surging in his heart. He didn't know what this emotion was, but he couldn't help but care for Li Yue.
"Let's go," said Wu Yunxiao as he reached out his hand to Li Yue.
