“Lefas.” After observing for a moment, she softly called his name and walked towards him with a beautiful smile.
Rafas heard that sweet and enticing voice and stood up towards the door. Yan Wushuang approached him, looking up at this god-like man: “The butler said you found me a teacher, right?”
“Yeah, but you have to tell me, did you think of me at home today?” He chuckled lightly, standing there and teasing her.
“What if I say I didn’t think of you?” She playfully stood in front of him, waiting for his response.
“You didn’t think of me? Then forget it; I’ll have Mike take this dance teacher back.” He had her figured out after she tried to be clever with him.
“No, I missed you! I really really missed you!” Saying this, she didn’t care that there were so many people around and dove into his arms, wrapping her hands around his waist.
Rafas happily laughed out loud, “Haha.” Everyone in the hall looked at their master and Miss Wushuang embracing each other intimately, witnessing the rare smile on their master’s face!
Mina was Chinese. After rising to fame at twenty, she moved to the United States and later married a wealthy American businessman, retiring from the dance industry. She now settled in Las Vegas. This time, Rafas had looked for many dance teachers but was not satisfied. When he saw her qualifications among a pile of materials and realized she lived in Las Vegas, he spoke up, and her husband immediately agreed to send her without any compensation.
Since she was so accommodating, Rafas couldn’t owe her a favor. He knew her husband’s company was looking to invest in a project but struggled to find investors. Conveniently, it was just a project worth several million dollars; he decided to help out.
“Alright, let me introduce your dance teacher. Her name is Mina; she is from the East and specializes in the kind of dance you like.” He wasn’t skilled in dance and just casually summarized it.
“Miss Wushuang, hello! My name is Mina. Starting tomorrow, I will come every day to teach you dance.” Mina smiled at the breathtakingly beautiful woman before her, unsure if she was real or an illusion.
When Wushuang reached out her slender hand to hold hers, Mina truly felt that everything was real.
“Mina, I will trouble you for more guidance in the future.” Wushuang responded with a smile. She liked Mina very much; just by looking at her, she felt that she must be an excellent dancer.
“Alright, now you’ve met each other. Tonight, make sure to rest well. From now on, Mina will come every afternoon to teach you. I’ve already arranged the dance studio for you; I’ll take you to see it shortly!” Rafas pulled her back beside him. He didn’t like her being so close with anyone; he had said before that it didn’t matter if the other person was a man or a woman—he simply wouldn’t allow it.
Mike was responsible for taking Mina back, and Rafas brought her to a room on the third floor. After opening the door, he found it empty, but as they walked in a couple of steps, they discovered it was a hidden gem!
In a fifty-square-meter room, one wall was fitted with several floor-to-ceiling mirrors, allowing her to observe her dance steps. The other walls were equipped with handrails. Rafas had provided the best sound equipment for her dance studio, and there was a complete range of dance costumes available. Whatever she said she needed, he would immediately get it for her!
"Thank you, Rafas. When did you prepare all this? Why didn't I know anything about it while staying at home every day?" Wushuang looked at him in surprise. This man was sometimes domineering and wild, yet at other times gentle and compliant. What kind of man was he really?
Rafas watched her smile and gently held her beautiful face, saying, "I told you, as long as you behave and listen to me, I can give you whatever you want. This is just a simple dance studio; it's nothing difficult for me!"
"So if I don't listen, you'll lock me in a dark room and ignore me, right?" He always emphasized that she should obey him, but she was a person too and would have her own thoughts. If her ideas clashed with his, wouldn't she be in trouble?
Thinking of this, Yan Wushuang recalled that dark place again. She hated it—truly disliked it. If they locked her in there again, she didn't know how much she would break down.
Her eyes suddenly became red and moist. Recently, Rafas seemed to have lost his immunity to her tears; whenever she cried, his heart softened. What did this mean?
"Yes, the consequence of not listening is just that. So you need to behave, understand?" Rafas coaxed her as if he were comforting his daughter, holding her close and even kissing her...
After bathing, Yan Wushuang tried on various dance outfits he had tailored for her in the bedroom. She excitedly changed into one after another. When she wore a flowing long-sleeved satin dress, she stared at herself in the mirror, frozen in place. It felt like some familiar scenes were floating before her eyes but were incomplete and fragmented.
"Baby, what's wrong?" Rafas came out of the bathroom looking refreshed and saw her standing dazedly in front of the full-length mirror in that very unique ancient costume. At first glance, she looked like a celestial being descending from Tianshan.
"Rafas, have I worn this outfit before? Why does it feel so familiar?" Yan Wushuang waved her arms and slowly turned in place, performing both strange yet familiar dance steps.
Her words and actions seemed to remind Rafas of an important issue: she was the Princess Wushuang of the Great Yan Kingdom from a Thousand Years Ago and must have been skilled in song and dance. Her earlier question suggested that wearing that outfit might have triggered some memories.
Damn it! He hadn't thought of this detail and had prepared quite a few similar dance outfits for her!
“Lefas, what's wrong? Why aren't you saying anything?” After waiting for a while without hearing him speak, Wushuang turned and walked up to him, giving him a gentle push.
“It's nothing. This outfit doesn't suit you at all; take it off quickly!” Rafas's expression was clearly displeased as he spoke, even reaching out to help her remove the clothing.
Yan Wushuang couldn't understand what was going on with him. It looked perfectly fine to her, yet he insisted it didn't and was so eager for her to take it off. What was the reason behind this?
Reluctantly removing the outfit, Rafas saw her hesitating and forcefully tore the wide-sleeved long dress from her body, shredding it into pieces. The light fabric floated in the bedroom, creating a desolate scene.
“Wuwuwu… Lefas, why did you tear this outfit apart? I really liked this dance costume!” When Yan Wushuang had put it on earlier, she had unknowingly found a passion for dancing. But now, seeing the torn pieces before her, she squatted down and began to cry as she picked up the remnants of the dress he had destroyed.
Rafas felt a surge of anger at her pouting over a piece of clothing, especially thinking that she might regain her memories because of these costumes. He couldn't let those outfits appear in front of her again.
He picked up the pile of shredded costumes from the bed and strode out, throwing them at Mike and instructing him to burn all the clothes in the dance studio's wardrobe!
Wushuang clutched the fragments sorrowfully. When Rafas returned to the bedroom, he saw her still holding onto the pieces tightly. Furious, he stepped forward and snatched them from her hands. Taking his coat, he left without a word, leaving Wushuang alone on the carpet in distress.
The club was filled with vibrant lights and sounds. Rafas invited Faisal to join him for a few drinks. As the two distinguished men entered, they immediately attracted the attention of numerous women.
Neither of them showed any interest in these women as they walked into their private booth. Soon after, a waiter brought in drinks according to their usual preferences. Outside the booth, a group of women gazed longingly at it while two bodyguards in black blocked their way, causing them to retreat.
“What’s wrong with you tonight? You look troubled; it's not like your usual self,” Faisal broke the silence first.
“Where's Shouya? Why didn't he come?” Rafas sidestepped his question and shifted the topic to Shouya.
Faisal chuckled lightly; seeing him deliberately avoid his question made it clear that something was bothering him tonight!
"That guy knows you invited him, but he refuses to come no matter what he says. He claims he doesn't qualify to drink with you. I asked, what's going on between you two? Why is your relationship so strained?" Faisal felt that Shouya shouldn't have fallen for Wushuang; after all, one shouldn't take advantage of a friend's wife. Their relationship shouldn't have turned into a love triangle, right?
"Hmph... it's better if he doesn't come; it saves me from getting angrier at him!" He downed his glass of liquor in one go; it was strong.
The two men, both dressed in black suits, looked cool. One held a cigar in one hand and a glass of liquor in the other. Rafas indeed had something on his mind tonight, which was why he wanted someone to drink with him.
However, he had been drinking alone, completely treating Faisal as if he were invisible. Since that was the case, he said nothing and just watched how much Rafas could drink and until when.
A bottle of Louis XIII was drained by him in that manner. Faisal felt something was off and immediately snatched the second bottle of liquor that Rafas had just opened: "Lefas, what's wrong with you tonight? You called me out to drink, but you're only focused on yourself. Is there something going on between you and Yan Wushuang?"
"Shut up! Don't mention that woman to me!" Rafas downed another glass.
Seeing his reaction, Faisal didn't believe for a second that he had just argued with Yan Wushuang. However, Lefas probably hadn't realized that Rafas had fallen deeply in love with Yan Wushuang; outsiders often see things more clearly.
Rafas set his glass down and leaned back on the sofa. After calming down for a moment, he suddenly spoke: "If one day she regains her memory, will she still be as carefree as she is now?"
"If it were me, the answer would be... no!" Faisal took away the glass in front of him; Rafas had already drunk enough for the night.
"Okay, I thought so too!" Sitting up and looking at Faisal, a smirk appeared on his face as he asked, "How about we find two girls to have some fun?"
"No need for that. I think you've had enough to drink and should head back. Instead of worrying about what might happen in the future, why not focus on winning her heart now?" Faisal stood up and glanced at his Rolex; it was just past midnight. He wondered if his little leaf was waiting for him to return.
