He gently picked her up and placed her on the large bed. Rafas loosened his tie and lay down beside her, instructing Mike to have Faisal and Shouya temporarily set aside their matters and come over to attend to the group in the garden.
"Are you feeling unwell? You look completely drained. Does your wrist still hurt? Let me see," Rafas said as he turned to embrace her, kissing her forehead and carefully examining her wrist.
Wushuang shook her head, her eyelashes fluttering slightly as she continued to rest in his arms. She felt so tired, truly exhausted; perhaps her heart was even more weary...
Misa pulled Long Yi away from the banquet hall, but Long Yi insisted on not going far. A life had been lost at the wedding, and it seemed the perpetrator was ruthless enough to harm even innocent bystanders. The only person capable of creating such a huge rift with Rafas must be Kogura!
He was certain Kogura was in Las Vegas, but whatever he could guess, Solomon could surely deduce as well. Where was that guy hiding? If they could team up again, he couldn't believe Rafas's death would be far off.
"Long Yi, what are you thinking? Don't you understand Wushuang's intentions? Coming here so brazenly, do you really think Rafas will let you off? If Wushuang hadn't done this, do you think you'd be able to walk out alive?" Misa urged as she dragged him into the car. No matter what, she had to take Long Yi back to Japan today.
Yamamoto Ryuichi seemed completely oblivious to Misa's words, looking around in search of Kogura's whereabouts. However, Kogura was currently a wanted man and wouldn't easily show himself.
Misa noticed his contemplative expression and took out a bottle of mineral water from her bag, handing it to him. "Long Yi, don't be like this. Drink some water to quench your thirst. Can't we just go back to Japan and live well? Have you forgotten what you promised my father? You promised him you'd take care of me and manage the Yamaguchi-gumi!"
"Misa, I..." Long Yi had just taken a sip of water when he suddenly felt dizzy. Before he could finish his sentence, he collapsed onto Misa's shoulder.
"Drive! Go to the airport and head back to Japan immediately!" Misa had already slipped a drug into the water Long Yi drank earlier as a precaution. She hadn't intended to use this method to bring him back, but Long Yi was too stubborn; she had no choice but to do it.
Watching Long Yi fainting away, she wished he could always quietly stay by her side like this. However, Misa knew that wasn't possible; once the drug wore off, he would wake up and leave her side again.
The driver sped towards the airport where Misa's private jet was waiting inside. Several subordinates worked together to carry Yamamoto Ryuichi onto the plane as the propellers slowly began to spin up. Misa left Solomon's surveillance behind with the unconscious Long Yi and flew away from Las Vegas!
Shouya and Faisal rushed over, and news of Yamamoto Ryuichi leaving Las Vegas reached Rafas's ears. Looking at the woman who had already fallen asleep in his arms, a smile crept onto his lips... "Yamamoto Ryuichi, Wushuang is now my lawful wife. I wonder what you can use to compete with me!"
Wushuang seemed to be sleeping restlessly, her small hand tightly gripping Rafas's shirt as she murmured, "No... no..."
"Baby, wake up! What's wrong?" Rafas sensed something was off and shook her gently in an attempt to rouse her.
"Ah..." Startled by his call, Wushuang woke up in a cold sweat from her dream, breathing heavily as she looked at the man before her with wide eyes as if she had seen something terrifying in her dream.
"What happened? Did you have a nightmare?" Rafas asked tenderly as he held her close, pressing her cheek against his chest so she could hear his heartbeat.
Wushuang clung tightly to his clothes before wrapping her arms around his neck instead. Still shaken from the fright, she gasped for breath as if she had just experienced something very frightening.
"Lefas, Lefas, I dreamed about that man. That man wanted to assault me, and you were lying beside me, covered in blood. No matter how I called you, you didn't respond... Boohoo..." She looked up at him, sharing the nightmare she had seen.
Rafas was stunned for a few seconds before bursting into laughter. "Silly girl, how could you dream of such things? It's okay, it's okay. I'm right here with you. How could anything happen to me? Have you forgotten who I am? But the man in your dream, was it Yamamoto Ryuichi or..."
"It was Kogura..." She panicked as she met his steady gaze, which formed a stark contrast to her own fear.
Rafas's expression froze for a moment. How could Wushuang dream of such scenes? It seemed Kogura was hiding nearby. The poisoning incident at the banquet was definitely his doing. However, if he managed to escape to Las Vegas, there must be someone helping him!
"It's fine. I'll handle his matters. Don't think too much about it. Go take a hot bath and relax. I'll have someone bring in some sweets for you and make a phone call. Be good..." Rafas patiently comforted her. Wushuang also wanted to take a bath to unwind; perhaps it was the sight of that woman foaming at the mouth from poisoning that made her paranoid and overthink.
In the study, Rafas sent off all the guests; today's banquet had come to an end. Although it hadn't concluded as planned, what mattered was that he and Wushuang were now legally married!
"Sharl, that cunning fox Kogura must be nearby. You need to increase our manpower and find a way to flush him out. Also, keep an eye on whoever is helping him. If I'm not mistaken, he must be with Smith Annie; you need to pay close attention to this!" He would not let what Wushuang saw in her dream become a reality.
"I'll take care of the poisoning issue. With so many authoritative figures putting pressure on them, the police won't handle this poisoning case lightly. You didn't see it earlier; there are so many media reporters outside the hotel waiting to ask questions!" Shouya said seriously while sitting on the sofa. He would definitely find evidence to accuse Kogura.
Rafas picked up a bottle of red wine and poured it for them. The three raised their glasses together, believing that no matter how capable Kogura was, he wouldn't escape the trap they had set for him. Before the police found him, Rafas would ensure he dealt with him first!
Wushuang ate some cake but lost her appetite and had the servant take it away. She had just asked Yezi about today's situation, but Yezi didn't know either; the police had taken away the body, and Shouya was handling the procedures while assisting with the investigation.
Looking at the time, the General and Miss Misa had probably left by now? She hoped they wouldn't return to Las Vegas after this; it was too dangerous here, especially with General Longze around!
"Baby, what are you thinking so deeply about that you didn't even notice I came in?" Rafas quietly walked in and hugged her tightly from behind.
Wushuang was indeed startled by him because she had been thinking about another man—the man he despised most.
"Nothing much, just still thinking about that dream!" She casually pulled a reason to deflect him, regardless of whether he believed it or not.
Rafas didn't suspect her; holding the beauty who had just bathed in his arms would make any man feel moved, especially with her natural fragrance making him unable to resist tightening his embrace and burying his face in her neck while caressing her soft body.
"Lefas... don't do this during the day!" The sky had only slightly darkened, but facing his touch made Yan Wushuang feel embarrassed.
Rafas's breathing became more rapid as his lips began to lightly lick and nibble at her earlobe and neck.
"Baby, today is our special day. Do you think what I'm doing is inappropriate? Don't forget one thing, you have long been my woman, and today, you officially become my Mrs. Lei!" Wushuang was tightly held in his arms, his hands restlessly lifting her nightgown, merging closely with her skin.
"Um... I'm feeling so hot..." His touch made Wushuang gradually lose control. He was familiar with every part of her body; he just needed to find her most sensitive spots to provoke a reaction.
Rafas looked at her with satisfaction, leaving a layer of saliva from passionate kisses on her face. Her cheeks flushed slightly as he turned her body around and unfastened her nightgown, revealing a flawless porcelain doll before his eyes!
Wushuang lowered her head, not daring to meet his gaze. She wrapped her arms around herself, trying to cover the spring scene in front of her.
Rafas watched her and began to unbutton his shirt, exposing his sun-kissed healthy skin. As Wushuang watched his clothes fall away one by one, she felt a bit scared and hid deeper into the bed. Although she had prepared for what was to come today, facing it now made her anxious.
Throwing aside the last piece of clothing, Rafas approached her with his bare body, his eyes shining as he pulled her out from under the covers: "My beautiful bride, what are you hiding from?"
"I'm not hiding; I'm just a little nervous!" Wushuang lowered her head again, feeling a burning gaze fixed on her, as if he could devour her at any moment.
Rafas pulled away the blanket that covered her and tightly embraced her naked body, their forms pressed closely together. His heavy breath sprayed on her cheek, filling her with his scent.
"Baby, I want you so badly. After holding back for so long, it's like I can finally feast on you!" Rafas kissed her cheek while teasing her playfully.
Wushuang's body suddenly tensed up; his words were unmistakable. He had tried to take advantage of her several times during this period but had held back due to her recent miscarriage. He would come home early every day to be with her and would spend most nights by her side if there were no social engagements. It seemed tonight she couldn't escape!
Rafas tilted her chin up and eagerly sealed his lips against hers. The soft touch immediately ignited the desire deep within him; he wanted her—he needed her right now...
