Kogura's large hand was caressing her when the door was suddenly kicked open by Annie. Without saying a word, Annie stepped forward and slapped him, "Smack!"
"You crazy woman, how dare you hit me!" Kogura, the leader of the Italian Mafia, had always been in a position of power. Now, being slapped by a woman, he felt humiliated; where could he show his face after this?
Annie was no match for him either, having received a slap in return. With their argument escalating, Yezi took the opportunity to rush into the room and bring Wushuang out. The two of them huddled in a corner, watching the heated exchange between the man and woman.
"What’s wrong with me hitting you? Who do you think you are? Do you really think you're that big shot leader? Pfft... If it weren't for me, Smith Annie, protecting you, you'd be on the run everywhere, wanted by everyone. Don't think just because you're momentarily successful that you've forgotten your roots. Playing with women in front of me, huh? I'll let you play..." Annie shouted as she took off her high heels and threw them at him.
The more Kogura looked at her, the more displeased he became. He prepared to slap her again but was stopped by a firm hand: "Sir, please show some respect."
The speaker was Smith Annie's bodyguard. He had flown them here and although he didn't have a good opinion of Smith Annie's temper, he couldn't just stand by and watch her get bullied.
Annie looked at him triumphantly; don’t think she was easy to bully… hum!
Kogura withdrew his hand but glared at Annie as if he wanted to devour her. Annie knew she couldn't stay there much longer. When they entered, she had noticed where he closed the door; perhaps opening it was also from that spot. No matter what, she had to leave!
"Kogura, listen carefully. I'm done playing now. You need to take me away from here; I want to go back to England!" She deliberately tested him to see if he would consider letting her go.
"Leave? Do you think your plane is still in the yard? Or do you plan to walk back to England? I seem to remember you left your passport on the plane!" Kogura was tired of hearing her talk like this. He let her say whatever she wanted but now that it had come to this point, there was no way she could leave.
He wasn't foolish; as soon as she showed up, Rafas would come after her. At that time, she would definitely crack under Rafas's threats and reveal their hiding place.
Annie didn't believe what he said and searched through her handbag. Oh no… her passport really was left on the plane! But even without a plane to leave, as long as she could get outside, she could contact her sister for help!
Seeing Kogura's smug expression, Smith Annie took advantage of his distraction and moved to where they had entered. She counted the bricks he had touched and decided to give it a try.
Without hesitation, she pressed down on the brick; it loosened slightly. To her surprise, the wall blocking her view slowly began to open. Kogura finally realized what was happening—this woman had opened a secret passage!
Annie looked joyfully at the gradually opening door. Before it fully opened, she saw a pair of dark eagle eyes staring at her from the other side.
"Rafas..." The name slipped from Annie's lips, leaving Wushuang and Yezi thinking she was talking nonsense.
Annie stood frozen at the door and began to step back as the sound of leather scraping against the floor echoed behind her. When Rafas appeared in his black suit in that cramped basement, Wushuang's eyes instantly reddened as she murmured his name… "Rafas!"
Behind Rafas were several black bodyguards. He was puzzled; he had come for another inspection. After thoroughly searching again, he found Wushuang's earring backing beneath that wall. He was certain they must have escaped through this wall or were hiding behind it!
Just then, Annie opened the exit from inside, allowing Rafas to finally find their group. It was no easy feat!
Seeing him enter, Kogura cunningly planned to capture Wushuang as a hostage to threaten him. Wushuang noticed his movements and, supporting herself with a leaf, quickly ran towards Rafas just as he was about to act.
"Bang... Bang... Bang..." Kogura tried to step forward to grab them back, but the bodyguards behind Rafas had already drawn their guns and were firing at his feet to prevent him from advancing.
Rafas took a few steps forward and caught Wushuang in his arms. The bodyguard behind him immediately stepped up to support the leaf. Without a hostage, Kogura found himself at a disadvantage and retreated a few steps, kicking the still unconscious Luca awake. They now had only five people, while Rafas's bodyguards numbered four. They still needed to protect the women, and if they charged hard, there might still be a chance to break through!
"Lefas, I knew you would come to save us!" Wushuang exclaimed, clinging tightly to him as if he were her last hope. Annie didn't want to get involved in their conflict and waved at Jobson, quickly leaving that filthy place.
Seeing the situation, Rafas pushed Wushuang back. He was confident that he could eliminate all of Kogura's men in just a few rounds.
"Kogura, I didn't expect you to be so cunning, playing with these maze tunnels. I have to admire you!" Rafas pulled out a handgun from his suit, preparing for a showdown.
"Hahaha... Likewise! When it comes to cunning, no one can compare to you, Rafas. The way things have turned out today is because I was too confident and underestimated you. But don’t get too proud; one day you'll end up like me!" Kogura felt unlucky today but couldn't help but feel frustrated seeing Yan Wushuang slip away from him.
Rafas wasn't in the mood for philosophical discussions; he raised his hand and aimed at him... "Bang!" He shot Luca, who had just woken up from unconsciousness beside Kogura. Blood gushed out, making it particularly glaring for Kogura.
Waving his hand behind him, a Black bodyguard helped the injured leaf over to Wushuang and said, "Madam, please leave here with me!"
Wushuang glanced at Rafas and realized he was about to engage Kogura in battle, which is why he wanted her taken away. She nodded in understanding and turned to help support the leaf as they temporarily left the dark and cramped basement.
"Rafas, what do you really want?" After Wushuang and the others left, the basement felt slightly more spacious. The blood from Luca continued to flow more profusely, intensifying the bloody smell and making the atmosphere increasingly tense.
"Actually, I don't want much; I just want you dead!" The cold Silver Mask gleamed brightly under the dim light, reflecting silver light into Kogura's eyes.
Kogura drew his hidden handgun as well; his brown eyes met Rafas's gaze. The gunfire rang out again as a gunfight began in the cramped basement.
Those who followed Rafas on missions were all agile A-class individuals. In just a few exchanges, all of Kogura's subordinates had fallen to the ground. Left alone and unarmed, Kogura lost his chance of competition. Rafas shot him in the calf, forcing him into a half-kneeling position. Another shot hit his right arm; he could no longer hold onto his gun and had no qualification to continue playing this game.
Wushuang and the leaf finally left the basement and returned above ground to freedom. Faisal had no idea that Lefas had left the hotel and come to the vacation house until he received a call from Leaf reporting their safety; he hurried over joyfully.
Just after finishing his call with Faisal, a familiar figure appeared before them. Yamamoto Ryuichi rushed over after receiving reports from his subordinates that Rafas had come back to the vacation house late at night.
Upon entering, he saw that both Wushuang and Leaf were safe in the living room; it seemed Rafas had already dealt with Kogura.
"Shuang'er, how are you? Did that bastard do anything to you?" Long Yi anxiously stepped forward and grabbed her hand, his face filled with concern.
"I'm fine, it's just that Yezi got injured from a kick, and there are several bruises on her body. She got hurt while trying to protect me," Wushuang looked at him with a hint of doubt in her eyes. She felt that the general in front of her had changed somehow, but she couldn't pinpoint the reason.
"As long as you’re okay. Are they still downstairs? I'll go check on them. You all stay here and rest; don't wander off!" With that, Long Yi and a group of six behind him headed down to the basement.
Wushuang watched him rush off, wondering what was going on. He wasn't usually like this; what had changed?
In the basement, Rafas stood over the barely conscious Kogura, looking down at the bloodied man. Did he think he could bring him down? Did he want to play with his woman? With his abilities... he was asking for death!
Suddenly, a fragrant aroma wafted through the basement, reminiscent of the scent emanating from Yan Wushuang. It was intoxicating and irresistible, making one want to inhale more of it...
The more they inhaled, the weaker they felt, unable to even steady their guns as they retreated to the walls and collapsed onto the ground.
Rafas was also a flesh-and-blood person. Despite his strong will, he couldn't withstand the powerful sedative. His gun fell to the ground as he half-knelt, his balance faltering, realizing in horror... he had been ambushed!
As everyone succumbed to the drug and fell weakly to the ground, Yamamoto Ryuichi appeared in the basement at just the right moment. The barely conscious Kogura saw him and immediately reached out for help: "Yamamoto Brother, save me..."
Yamamoto Ryuichi instructed his subordinates to help Kogura move aside. Given his condition, he would be lucky not to end up crippled. However, seeing Rafas still stubbornly half-kneeling on the ground, he smirked and stepped forward to place his foot on Rafas just as he had done with Kogura earlier, exuding an intimidating presence.
"Yamamoto Ryuichi, so you’re in cahoots with them. What kind of trick did you pull to make us inhale this stuff?" Rafas had always been wary of him, but no amount of planning had prepared him for this drug ambush.
