Yan Wushuang had just finished a sketch of a baby when she heard Rafas calling from downstairs, sounding quite anxious. She quickly put down her brush, opened the door, and ran out.
Rafas was coming up the stairs just as Yan Wushuang stepped out of the Studio. They collided face to face without saying a word, and Rafas stepped forward to tightly embrace the disobedient Little Woman.
"What should I do with you?" he asked helplessly, resting his chin on her head.
"What do you mean by that? I don't quite understand," Yan Wushuang feigned ignorance as she nestled in his arms, inhaling his familiar scent and asking innocently.
"Alright, you win this time. But you mustn't scare me again. You have to stay where I can see you at first glance, okay?" Time passed quickly; the baby was already twelve weeks along. According to the manual, today was their first visit to the hospital for a three-month check-up. The second would be at five months, and the third at seven months. After that, they would have check-ups almost every month until the baby was born, all for the sake of the baby's health!

"Mrs. Lei, please don't be nervous. Lie back and take a deep breath..." The Senior Attending Physician spoke softly to Yan Wushuang.
She was an authority on pregnancy and childbirth. Rafas had specifically hired her to oversee Yan Wushuang's prenatal care, ensuring her safety and health throughout the entire pregnancy until after delivery.

The doctor smiled slightly and said, "Mr. Lei, please don't worry. Let's take a look at the fetal development, and we will know soon. We just conducted a simple pregnancy check, so there shouldn't be any major issues. I believe you both have been taking good care of Mrs. Lei."
Rafas nodded, "We have a family doctor taking care of her at home."
The nurse began the pregnancy examination for Yan Wushuang, and the ultrasound screen gradually started to display images...
"Mrs. Lei, are your pregnancy symptoms still severe?" the chief doctor casually chatted with her to understand her current condition.
Yan Wushuang smiled and nodded, "It's slightly better than in the early stages."
The chief doctor smiled back, "That's very normal. Since the baby is only three months old, you are still experiencing early pregnancy symptoms. Even if it's tough right now, you need to persevere."
"I will," Yan Wushuang said, though for some reason, her heart was racing.
"Doctor, take a look at this fetus..." the young nurse suddenly said, and the chief doctor turned to look at the images on the screen.
Yan Wushuang's heart suddenly skipped a beat. Without saying a word, she quickly sat up, causing the ultrasound image to shake slightly. "Doctor, what's wrong with my baby?"
Rafas was also startled by the nurse's expression and rushed forward, his face filled with worry and panic.
The chief doctor quickly instructed Yan Wushuang to lie back down, maintaining a professional smile as he looked at the two anxious individuals and gently asked, "Before this, Mrs. Lei hasn't had an ultrasound examination, right?"
Yan Wushuang's hands began to tremble slightly; her heart felt like it was about to leap out of her chest.
Rafas quickly replied, "No, because we were afraid it might not be good for the baby. My wife also has slight miscarriage symptoms and some hidden pain in her lower abdomen. I didn't dare let her undergo an ultrasound examination casually."
"That explains it; it's normal that you didn't know," the chief doctor nodded and said.
"Doctor, is my baby okay?" Yan Wushuang finally found her voice, her heart racing even faster.
Seeing this, the doctor quickly said, "It's fine, it's fine. Please don't be so agitated. The baby is very healthy, and..."
"And what?" Rafas asked anxiously, his face filled with concern.
"Well, you can see for yourselves," the chief physician instructed the nurse to turn the screen towards Yan Wushuang's direction and pointed to a spot, saying, "Do you see? Those are the babies."
Both of them looked at the screen simultaneously...
Yan Wushuang reacted sensitively: "Doctor, did you just say... they?"
After a while, Rafas slowly processed the information. His face momentarily froze before he suddenly realized, a wave of immense yet uncertain joy flickering in his eyes.
"That's right! Congratulations, Mrs. Lei! You are expecting twins!" the chief physician announced with a smile.
Instantly, sounds of surprise and cheers erupted...
Yan Wushuang covered her mouth, tears welling up in her eyes from either excitement or disbelief. She still couldn't believe it as she looked at the doctor and trembled as she asked, "Doctor, are... are my babies really twins?"
This news was simply too shocking. If King Empress were watching from above, he would surely be overjoyed because they were about to welcome two little grandchildren at once.
"Of course! It's very clear on the screen, Mrs. Lei. Just take a look..." The doctor pointed to two distinct spots on the screen and added, "You see? These are the two babies. The two of them stared intently at the screen, especially Yan Wushuang, whose tears of joy were on the verge of spilling over. Yes, she could indeed see two little babies; she was trembling with delight.
"Doctor, why do the babies look a bit strange?" she asked with a mix of happiness and concern.
"You really are a silly girl..." Rafas couldn't help but laugh, and even the chief doctor chuckled.
"What's wrong?" Yan Wushuang asked, confused.
The chief doctor smiled slightly and patiently explained, "Mrs. Lei, the reason you find the baby a bit strange is that the fetus's skin is still transparent at this stage, so you can see the subcutaneous blood vessels and internal organs from the outside. This is a normal phenomenon. Look, these two little ones will definitely be tall in the future."
"Uh? You can tell that?" Yan Wushuang asked in amazement; the medical knowledge here was quite advanced.
The doctor replied with a smile, "Generally, a three-month-old fetus is about 7 centimeters long, and it can grow to around 9 centimeters. Now, your two babies measure 9.5 centimeters, which means they are not only developing well but will also be taller than their peers."
"Of course! I was like that when I was young. My dad is tall and strong, so the children will definitely take after him," Rafas said proudly.
Yan Wushuang just smiled foolishly, staring at the images above, unable to look away for a long time...
"Doctor, can we tell if the fetus is a boy or a girl now?" Yan Wushuang asked eagerly.
The doctor smiled, "So, Mrs. Lei, do you hope for a boy or a girl?"
"It would be best to have one boy and one girl," Rafas suddenly answered.
"Lefas..." Yan Wushuang laughed shyly.
"Then that would be Dragon and Phoenix Twins," the doctor chuckled and shrugged. "However, because the fetuses are too small, we can only determine their gender based on appearance. It won't be accurate until around five months when we can clearly identify whether it's a boy or a girl. So, you two should not rush; just wait a bit longer."
"Regardless of whether it's a boy or a girl, I will love them," Yan Wushuang said, nearly jumping for joy.
After some advice from the doctor, Rafas took Yan Wushuang out of the hospital. Just as they settled back into the car, Mike's call came in right after.
"What? I missed signing a document? Alright, I'll head back now!" Rafas hung up the phone and, with a guilty expression, looked at Yan Wushuang's small face and said, "Baby, I came back too quickly just now and forgot to sign a document. Can you accompany me back to the office to sign it? After that, I'll take you shopping, okay?"

Back at the company, Rafas took Yan Wushuang to his office, but she expressed a desire to see their conference room and check out the place where he was busy with meetings every day.
Rafas never refused her requests and let his secretary take her for a tour while he went to sign the documents.

"Is Lefas very busy every day?" she asked with concern.
"Yes, Mrs. Lei. The company recently took on the Land Acquisition Project in the UK, which involves a significant investment, so almost everyone in the company is working overtime!" Dy was answering her when suddenly a commotion erupted, followed by hurried footsteps.
"Hey, who are you? How did you get in here..." Dy's voice rose just as Yan Wushuang turned around to see who had come in when she felt herself being tightly held by a pair of strong male hands.
Immediately after... Dy's exclamation rang in her ears as security personnel rushed forward. Yan Wushuang felt dizzy and scared, her heart racing as she finally got a clear look at the man holding her tightly.
He was a middle-aged man with a scruffy beard and bloodshot eyes that made him appear even more haggard. His ordinary attire suggested he wasn't wealthy and even looked somewhat down-and-out.
At that moment, Yan Wushuang felt a sharp pain in her stomach, waves of nausea washing over her...
