A couple of days ago, Yan Wushuang mentioned wanting to go for a walk. Since today was the weekend, Rafas fulfilled her wish and took her to a resort in the countryside to relax.
This was a comprehensive resort area. Yan Wushuang had specially brought her sketchbook to capture all the beautiful scenery she saw.
Rafas, along with Faisal and Mike, three big men gathered around, skillfully grilling their respective food. Yan Wushuang had already set up her easel by the nearby Small Lake, with Ieyako naturally posing as her model.
“Mike, you’re often out on business; have you seen Shouya?” Faisal had been trying to call him all morning, but no one answered. He couldn’t understand what this guy had been busy with lately.
“I also haven’t seen him for a while; the last time was about a week ago when he brought back his wife’s rabbit. Other than that, I haven’t seen him!” Everyone was left with question marks.
Rafas attentively grilled chicken wings and hot dogs for Yan Wushuang, not interested in their conversation.
Seeing him silent, Faisal deliberately nudged him and asked, “Lefas, why are you so quiet? Do you know something?”
Rafas frowned and shot Faisal an eye roll, saying, “You’re already engaged, Faisal. Can’t that kid find a woman?”
Mike chuckled quietly on the side while only Faisal looked displeased. He was just asking casually; did it need to be taken so seriously?
Just as the conversation settled down, Faisal suddenly slapped his thigh and exclaimed, “Is it that blind girl who looks somewhat like Wushuang?”
“What do you mean ‘somewhat like Wushuang’? They are two different people! Do you really have to describe it that way? I think your little bunny also looks somewhat like Wushuang. What do you think, Mike?” Rafas retorted defiantly.
Cough, cough... Two bosses were arguing over an issue, and they insisted on involving him in the discussion. How should he respond?
Rafas kicked Mike under the table, signaling him on what to do!
Mike received Rafas's hint and confidently replied, "Indeed, there are some similarities!"
Faisal glanced at the pair of master and servant with a sideways look; it was clear they were in cahoots and were pretending to be innocent in front of him.
At that moment, a few women suddenly appeared from somewhere. Upon seeing three single men sitting at the barbecue area, they rushed towards them excitedly.
Rafas looked at the food in his hands, placed it onto a disposable plate, took a few steps forward, and shouted towards Yan Wushuang, who was a hundred meters away, "Wife, hurry back! Everything is ready!"
Hearing his shout, Yan Wushuang turned around to look at him but happened to see four sexy women rushing towards them.
"Yezi, look!" Yan Wushuang called out to Ieyako, who was modeling for her. "What is going on?"
Ieyako had been facing them all along and knew exactly what was happening. She dusted off her clothes and walked over to Wushuang's side, slightly displeased as she said, "It's fine; they're just a few clueless butterflies. Let's pack up our things; we should head over now!"
Yan Wushuang nodded; she didn't believe Rafas would betray her.
"Oh my... Are you the General Manager Lei from Monica? It's such a surprise to see you here!" A woman in a low-cut short dress immediately recognized the man standing outside as the legendary Devil CEO.
However, recent magazines had revealed that his face was not disfigured at all and even published recent photos of him. Indeed, he had a face that could charm all women.
Several bold women sat down beside them in the pavilion, surrounding Faisal and Mike on either side.
Rafas stood outside, watching Yan Wushuang approach him step by step. His expression darkened as he angrily shouted at the woman beside him who kept flirting in his ear, "Get lost!"
The woman had been smiling but was taken aback. She thought today would be her chance to meet the legendary figure and hoped to seduce him into her bed for a life of luxury. However, his one word doused her excitement with cold water!
After yelling at that woman, Rafas immediately turned and put on a gentle expression as he walked towards Yan Wushuang, who was already closing in on him...
"Where did those women come from?" Rafas walked up to them, taking the sketchbook from Yan Wushuang's hands and wrapping his arm around her slender waist as they headed back together.
Seeing the puzzled look in Yan Wushuang's eyes, Rafas quickly explained, "I’m not sure where they came from either. They might be tourists at the resort. Since you mentioned we didn’t need to book the place exclusively, I didn’t clear it out."
Wushuang nodded, understanding now.
Ieyako had already quickened his pace and entered the pavilion, standing silently in front of Faisal and the woman beside him.
Faisal had known she was coming. He finished applying a layer of seasoning to the chicken wings in his hand and turned to the woman beside him, saying, "Miss, could you please move aside? This is my wife's spot!"
The women felt extremely awkward and left their positions sheepishly. Faisal reached out and pulled a leaf closer to sit down, taking food off his fork and placing it on a plate for her.
The woman sitting next to Mike observed that he was the only one without a partner and boldly reached out to hook her arm around his.
These women who had suddenly appeared made Mike uncomfortable. The one next to him wore an overpowering perfume and kept leaning towards him. A displeased frown crossed his forehead as he snapped at her, "Miss, it seems we never invited you here. If possible, please leave on your own before I have someone throw you out!"
The woman's face turned various shades of red and green; she didn't expect them to show no interest in her at all and even receive a warning.
"I'm so sorry, Mr. Lei. I didn't expect these women would have the audacity to bother you. I'll have them removed right away!" As Mike spoke, a tall, thin man rushed over. Upon seeing the group of women there, he quickly apologized to Rafas and instructed several security guards who had come with him to forcibly escort them away.
"What kind of people are they? They seem like regulars," Yan Wushuang asked curiously while being held protectively by Rafas.
This man was the manager of the resort. After the security guards darkly ushered the women away, he immediately responded to Yan Wushuang's question: "Lady Ray, you may not know this, but these women are gold diggers who often come to our resort looking for targets. Since they pay to enter as well, we have no reason to deny them access; we just keep an eye on them to prevent them from bothering other guests."
Gold digger? What does that mean? It seemed she didn't quite understand.
The women huffed coldly at the security guards. Although they were unwilling, they had no choice since these men showed no interest in them at all. Looking at the two beautiful women beside them, they realized they couldn't compete with their looks, especially with those exquisite faces.
Finally, once some unrelated individuals had left, Yan Wushuang still hadn’t figured out what gold digger meant. She leaned in close to Rafas and whispered her question in his ear. Their intimate gesture made Leaf believe that everything must be fine between them now...
"Leaf, try this; this one is delicious too..." Yan Wushuang smiled as she chatted and ate. Rafas played the role of a good husband perfectly, staying by her side throughout and personally taking on the role of chef for her every culinary desire as a dignified CEO.
The cool autumn wind blew towards them, causing the slender Yan Wushuang to shiver. Rafas immediately took off his coat and nervously draped it over her.
She hooked her arm around his, resting her head on his shoulder, smiling happily...
Japan.
Yamamoto Ryuichi received a package early in the morning, one sent from Las Vegas. He carefully opened the package, wondering if anyone other than Rafas would send something from Las Vegas.
As he unwrapped layer after layer, he found that it was just a gift box. Curiously, he took out the box and slowly opened it... This was the Phoenix Pendant he had given to Wushuang! Although it was clear that it had been damaged and repaired, it was indeed the same jade pendant that Wushuang had.
Why was it sent to Japan? Was this Wushuang's intention? Did she want to return it to him? He needed to find out; he had to clarify what was going on.
Just as he was about to go out, Misa's tall figure stood outside the door. Upon noticing him, she slowly walked in and pointed at the pendant on the table, asking, "Is this what you received in the package this morning?"
