"I didn't bully her; she ran up to me and smeared so much cream on my face first. I just said girls are annoying. If Kevin saw her like this, who would want to marry her!" The little boy innocently glanced at his mother beside him. With her support, he felt fearless.
No matter how impressive his dad was, once they got home, he still had to obediently listen to his mom. He couldn't understand why Leila, who was his mom's daughter and born just a few minutes after him, didn't look as noble and beautiful as his mom. When he grew up, he wanted to marry a woman as beautiful as his mom.
Rafas and Yan Wushuang couldn't help but chuckle. The Kevin they were talking about was Faisal and Ieyako's son. Lele seemed particularly fond of being with Kevin; every time the kids played house, Lele would insist on being Kevin's bride, while the mature Ray Yi always had to play the role of the grandfather.
"Alright, alright, Lele, no more messing around. Girls must keep clean and shouldn't smear cream on their brother's face. Otherwise, when you go to school later, your brother won't love you anymore, and Kevin won't like girls who aren't clean, understand?" Yan Wushuang was fair to both children but would intentionally side with her son whenever Rafas was around.
After causing a ruckus for a while, the little girl decided it was fine since she had her dad helping her. Plus, what mom said made sense; in two years they would be starting elementary school. She heard that boys there could be quite mean, and without her brother to protect her, she would surely be bullied.
Indeed, what mom said was useful. The little boy looked at his now quiet sister and shook his head helplessly, wondering what she would be like when she grew up.
"Awesome! We're going to Japan and Taiwan!" The little girl exclaimed joyfully while bouncing in her seat on the plane.
The little boy shook his head helplessly and called out to her, "Lele, be quiet; I'm reading a comic!"
"Oh, I'm just happy! Aren't you happy?" The little girl sat beside him and glanced at the comic book in his hands.
"Girls are just girls; what's there to be excited about? Every year Dad and Mom take us on trips; why are you so worked up?" The little boy didn't even look at her, keeping his focus on the comic.
The little girl huffed and moved to the window to see if Dad and Mom were ready.
Yan Wushuang had packed all their luggage into three suitcases and asked Mike to help carry them onto the plane. This trip would last longer than usual, so they brought everything they could; anything else needed could be bought when they arrived.
With their bodyguards included, the group of ten set off first for Japan...
On the airplane, the little girl curiously asked Rafas, "Daddy, are we going to Japan for a trip?"
"My dear daughter, that question should be directed to Mommy," Rafas tossed the question to Yan Wushuang.
The little girl turned her curious face towards Yan Wushuang, who was sitting on the other side.
Yan Wushuang looked at her daughter's inquisitive expression and thought for a moment before patiently saying, "We are going to Japan to meet Mommy's friend. When we get to Japan, Lele must listen to Mommy, okay?"
"Then who is Mommy's friend? Lele will definitely behave," the five-year-old was very curious about everything.
"He's an uncle, and he has an older brother who is one year older than Lele. When you meet him tomorrow, Lele should greet him politely, okay?" Yan Wushuang had always taught her two children to speak Chinese so they could communicate better with the outside world in the future.
"Got it! Lele will be very good. If Mommy is worried, just worry about the brother," the little girl was clever and never forgot to drag her brother into things.
Yan Wushuang and Rafas exchanged smiles; their two little ones were quite sharp!
Japan...
After flying for more than ten hours, they finally arrived in Tokyo, Japan. The plane slowly landed at Tokyo Airport, where a vehicle had been arranged in advance to pick them up.
In five years, Yamamoto Ryuichi had changed quite a bit. He had devoted all his energy to the Yamaguchi-gumi and his children. Now, the Yamaguchi-gumi was much larger than it had been five years ago. Under his guidance, Yamamoto Motoharu, who was only six years old, seemed more mature and understanding compared to other children his age.
Yamamoto Ryuichi knew they had arrived; this was their first meeting since parting five years ago. Five years ago, Wushuang had also come once, but Misa was unwilling to see her then and did not stay in Japan for long before leaving.
Time really flies; it has already been five years. The child who was once a small baby in my arms has grown into a young boy today.
“Father, you said there are guests coming today. Who are they?” Yamamoto Motoharu saw the maid cleaning early in the morning and preparing a table full of food. It must be someone important visiting.
“It’s a woman your father once liked. We haven’t seen each other in five years. Today, her family is coming to visit us, and tomorrow we will go see your mother. She has a pair of younger siblings. When they arrive later, don’t be too mischievous; you can take your younger siblings to play in the garden.” Remembering the past, Yamamoto Ryuichi felt it was all so distant…
“I understand.” The youthful voice reflected his obedient nature.
Watching his son leave, he reminisced about the past five years. If it weren’t for the support he received from him, he really didn’t know how he had managed back then. Without Misa by his side, it felt like something was missing, causing him sleepless nights.
Memories flowed like water, but seeing Yuan Xiu now and recalling the smiles on Misa’s face during each visit over the years brought him some comfort.
“Sir, Miss Wushuang has arrived with two children!” The maid reported from outside the door.
Not hearing Rafas's name was expected; he had no interest in meeting that man!
Yan Wushuang came with Ray Yi and Leila. Rafas refused to come no matter what; he wouldn’t go to visit tomorrow either.
“Mommy, this place is so big!” Leila exclaimed, feeling everything was new as it was her first time here.
“When you meet them later, make sure to greet them,” she reminded them, looking at the familiar surroundings that seemed not to have changed much since five years ago.
The maid led them inside. Yamamoto Ryuichi had just received the maid’s report and came out to greet her. When his tall figure appeared before Yan Wushuang, they both looked at each other and stood still for a long time.
Ray Yi noticed that Mommy was standing still, staring at Uncle across from her without blinking. Even at a young age, he furrowed his brows, mimicking the expression of Rafas when he frowned, and tugged at her hand, shaking it vigorously while calling out to her, "Mommy, Mommy..."
"Ah?" Yan Wushuang was jolted back to reality by her son's call.
She led them in front of Long Yi, looking at his face, which had matured slightly over the years. She gently called out to him, "General, I'm here."
"Welcome, my princess!" Long Yi said as he looked at her, who had not changed at all. She was still as beautiful and charming as ever. Although she was now a mother of two children, she looked exactly the same as she did five years ago in Long Yi's mind.
Yan Wushuang released the hands of the two children and stepped forward to embrace Long Yi, her eyes reddening with excitement. "It's been five years; how have you been?"
"Silly girl, why are you crying? The children are here; you look so unappealing like this," Yamamoto Ryuichi reminded her, noticing the two children beside her, both wide-eyed as they looked at him.
Especially the little boy, who looked just like Rafas, particularly with the way he frowned at them, which made him feel a bit awkward, as if Rafas were staring at them.
Yan Wushuang also realized she had lost her composure and quickly wiped away her tears. Just then, another boy walked out from inside and approached Yamamoto Ryuichi. Looking at Yan Wushuang, he respectfully bowed 90 degrees and said, "Hello, I am Yamamoto Motoharu."
Seeing such a well-mannered child, Yan Wushuang was momentarily taken aback; she had almost forgotten to introduce her children to the general.
However, Ray Yi seemed to react even faster than Yan Wushuang. He imitated the boy's actions and bowed to the man in front of him, saying, "Hello, I am Ray Yi, and that girl is my twin sister Leila!"
"Hello, Uncle," Leila quickly added without hesitation.
"Hello there! You both look so handsome and beautiful!" Yamamoto Ryuichi praised them with a smile.
"Where, where? Under your guidance, Yuan Xiu has been outstanding. Misa must be very pleased, right?" Looking at the child before him, although he was not the general and Miss Misa's biological child, he bore a resemblance to the general.
Could it be that living together for a long time has made their appearances more similar?
Yamamoto Ryuichi welcomed them inside, while Yan Wushuang led the two children to observe every detail of the Yamamoto Family's surroundings. There really hadn't been much change; she thought perhaps the general wanted to preserve everything in its original state.
They sat down to a table full of food, all of which were the most characteristic and delicious dishes from Japan. The children quickly began to play together, and after a hearty meal, Yuan Xiu took them out into the garden.
Lele also liked her older brother Yuan Xiu very much; he always played with her and didn't complain like Ray Yi did!
"Brother Yuan Xiu, I want to swing on that swing. Will you push me?" In the garden, Yamamoto Ryuichi had specially built a small playground for Yuan Xiu, complete with swings, slides, and seesaws.
"Okay." Yuan Xiu helped Lele onto the swing and gently pushed her from behind, making her soar through the air.
"Awesome... so awesome... Brother, look at me flying!" Lele shouted happily while Ray Yi was busy playing on a rocking horse and didn't pay her any attention.
In the garden, the three children played together. They were around the same age and shared common interests. Especially Yuan Xiu, who acted like an older brother and took great care of Lele.
While the children were playing, Yan Wushuang and Long Yi were discussing matters regarding Misa.
"The application has been approved; this is just the first step. Don't worry, Misa will definitely have a day of freedom." Yan Wushuang was also looking forward to that day arriving soon.
