An Xin Ya opened her eyes wide, her hollow yet beautiful gaze fixed straight ahead. Upon hearing her mention leaving, the sensitive An Xin Ya felt a surge of anxiety and urged her, "You mustn't think like that. If you leave him and then leave my home, where else can you go?" 0

She pondered for a moment before suggesting Japan or perhaps China. 0

The mention of China struck a sensitive chord in An Xin Ya; it seemed to carry too many memories. 0

"I've never been to Japan, but China is my homeland. Before I turned six, I lived in an orphanage in Beijing until my Foster Parents adopted me and brought me to Las Vegas..." An Xin Ya reflected on her past. 0

Yan Wushuang listened quietly, surprised by Xinya's background, and curiously asked if she wasn't raised by her biological grandmother. 0

Xinya nodded and shared her entire experience: "After I turned six, my Foster Parents took me to Las Vegas because their work was here. That year when we returned to China, it was just to bring my grandparents over. My Adoptive Mother was unable to have children due to health issues, which is why they adopted me. They treated me very well and even changed my name to An Xin Ya. Our family of five was very happy until I had a car accident at sixteen. My Foster Parents died in that crash, and I suffered severe injuries. I had a high fever that wouldn't subside, and the hospital even tried to give up on me, but I survived. However, I lost my sight after that..." 0

At this point, Xinya felt a lump in her throat that made her uncomfortable. Taking a deep breath, she continued explaining that after her Foster Parents passed away, it was just her and her grandparents left. Fortunately, her Foster Parents had bought two stores that provided rental income each month, and the insurance company compensated them a significant amount of money along with additional compensation from her Foster Parents' company. This ensured that she and her grandparents could live without financial worries for the past few years. Last year, her grandfather passed away, leaving only her and her grandmother. 0

Unable to control her emotions any longer, An Xin Ya shed tears of sorrow. She never expected Heaven to treat her so cruelly; however, she did not blame fate and chose to live optimistically. Perhaps this was simply her destiny! 0

Yan Wushuang was shocked by An Xin Ya's experiences and felt immense sympathy for her. Moved by what she heard, she also shed tears. Listening to everything Xinya shared touched her heart deeply; she tightly grasped Xinya's hand and wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes. Frowning slightly as she looked at such a kind-hearted and beautiful girl facing such hardships made Yan Wushuang lament the unfairness of Heaven. 0

She comforted Xinya, encouraging her to be strong and not let her grandmother see her cry. She reassured Xinya that besides her grandmother, she had Yan Wushuang herself and Ye Zi as well as Brother Shouya who would all help her; Brother Shouya being a doctor would surely help treat her eyes... 0

After losing her sight, An Xin Ya could no longer sit in class like others or listen to teachers lecturing at the podium; she had very few friends. Yet she still felt grateful to fate for allowing her to meet Wushuang and the others. 0

That night, they talked for a long time before eventually breaking into smiles again. 0

Yan Wushuang teased An Xin Ya further: "I can tell Brother Shouya really has feelings for you. What about you? Do you like Brother Shouya?" 0

"I..." An Xin Ya shyly lowered her gaze, feeling flustered and unsure how to respond. Memories flooded back from that night when they returned home from Mikomei Hotel; she remembered how Brother Shouya accidentally fell to the ground with her on top of him, their lips almost touching... This made her feel even more embarrassed, with her face burning like boiling water. 0

"Don't be shy; liking someone is just liking them!" Yan Wushuang nudged An Xin Ya with her elbow while laughing. 0

The next morning, the two went out together to buy breakfast. 0

On the road, Yan Wushuang supported An Xin Ya as they slowly walked forward. Perhaps after An Xin Ya's guidance and a night of contemplation, she finally understood that she would not be sad for that man, nor would she degrade herself for him. 0

Hearing her say this, An Xin Ya felt much more at ease and fully supported her. Just like herself, even though she couldn't see, her heart was filled with light; she could feel the world with her heart, ears, and nose. 0

They chatted lightly along the way, enjoying their conversation. 0

The familiar little street drew the attention of neighbors as Yan Wushuang and An Xin Ya appeared. 0

Today, the morning shift at the Bakery was not Maria but a male clerk. Upon seeing Yan Wushuang, he couldn't help but marvel at her beauty, exuding an air of nobility and elegance. 0

"Doron, give me two toasts and a cup of hot milk, make it three portions!" She took out the cash she had prepared earlier for the male clerk, but after a while without any response from him, her keen hearing made her laugh. It seemed he was so captivated by the beautiful Wushuang that he forgot to conduct business. 0

"What are you staring at? Hurry up and take my money!" Madam Hada, the Bakery's boss, came out. Seeing Doron standing there dazedly admiring the beauty and forgetting to collect payment, she angrily approached him and knocked him back to reality. When Madam Hada saw Yan Wushuang and An Xin Ya, her eyes were filled with envy and jealousy, but for the sake of business, she still put on a smiling face. 0

The appearance of these two beautiful girls on the street was a dazzling sight. 0

After buying breakfast, they walked back along the familiar path with Wushuang's assistance. 0

"Wushuang, did you know? Just now that Doron was staring at you with his eyes wide open..." Xinya teased with a smile. 0

Even the clerk reacted this way; she truly hoped that one day she could open her eyes and see what her good friend looked like. 0

"Not at all..." Yan Wushuang shyly replied. 0

But just then, an out-of-control Sports Car came rushing from behind them, screeching as it tore down the road... 0

Yan Wushuang and An Xin Ya heard the sound and quickly turned to look back. 0

An Xin Ya couldn't see anything; everything was pitch black. However, the frantic screams ringing in her ears made her panic instantly, leaving her unsure of what was happening. 0

The roar of the sports car grew louder and more piercing... 0

Before she could ask Wushuang what was happening, she heard Wushuang shouting for her to hurry and pulling her hand, retreating to the corner of the sidewalk. 0

An Xin Ya was overwhelmed by the chaotic scene and the screams around her. Her head felt heavy, and she was at a loss. She held onto Yan Wushuang's hand tightly, afraid she would lose her. 0

But in the next moment, she was forcefully pushed away by a pair of hands, and she fell to the ground. As her hand touched her cane, she didn't care and shouted, "Wushuang, Wushuang, where are you? What happened?" 0

What on earth is going on? She screamed in her heart. 0

Not hearing Wushuang's response, she then heard someone shout loudly, "Quick... there’s been a car accident..." 0

Upon hearing the words "car accident," a scene flashed in her mind; it must have been Wushuang who pushed her away while she herself got hit by the car. 0

She kept shouting and hurriedly stood up, stumbling toward the voice of the crowd, tears streaming down her face. 0

An Xin Ya crouched down in a panic, feeling around until she touched Wushuang's face and that familiar palm, confirming it was Wushuang. She cried out for them to help her friend. 0

Shouya was driving when he saw so many people ahead and had no idea what was happening. But when he saw An Xin Ya with tears streaming down her face and a middle-aged man holding the injured Wushuang in his arms... 0

He rushed forward and hugged An Xin Ya tightly, loudly asking what had happened. 0

Hearing Brother Shouya's voice made An Xin Ya feel as if she had grasped a lifeline. She cried but didn’t know how to answer his question. 0

The middle-aged man, panting heavily, explained what had happened. He said that just moments ago, a red sports car had charged toward the two young women. The injured one had pushed the other out of the way to avoid being hit, but the other hadn’t managed to escape in time and was struck by the car. 0

Listening to the man's account, Shouya understood what had transpired. Remaining calm and composed, he saw multiple wounds on Wushuang's body with bright red blood flowing. He first applied pressure to stop Wushuang's bleeding before speeding to the hospital. 0

An Xin Ya sat beside Wushuang, supporting her but feeling utterly useless. If only she hadn’t been blind, perhaps Wushuang wouldn’t have been hurt because of her. 0

She heard Brother Shouya on the phone with Rafas, asking him to prepare all the medical equipment. 0

Soon they arrived at the hospital. Rafas saw Yan Wushuang, covered in injuries and unconscious. He picked her up and rushed into the hospital, taking her straight into surgery for emergency treatment. 0

An Xin Ya stumbled closely behind, tears streaming down her face. Shouya changed into a surgical gown and personally took charge of the operation, telling An Xin Ya, "You wait outside..." 0

An Xin Ya could no longer hold onto Brother Shouya's hand. Listening to his footsteps as he entered the operating room, she was followed by the sound of the door closing... 0

She heard Rafas asking the kind passerby Mr. Kate about what had happened again. She also heard him curse and then immediately send someone to resolve the situation. 0

With tear-streaked cheeks, An Xin Ya anxiously awaited news of Wushuang's safety. The sound of Rafas pacing back and forth filled her ears, reflecting his own anxious and tense feelings. 0

After a long time, she didn't know how long it had been when she suddenly heard the operating room door open. She heard Rafas rush forward to ask Brother Shouya how Wushuang was doing. 0

Brother Shouya told him to relax; Wushuang was fine, just some superficial injuries. He had already conducted a full examination on Wushuang and found no problems—she just needed to rest for a few days. 0

Hearing her brother Shouya's words, An Xin Ya knew that Wushuang was finally okay and safe. Overwhelmed with emotion, she broke into a smile, clasping her hands tightly to her chest, thanking the heavens for allowing Wushuang to come through safely. 0

Worried about Wushuang, Rafas went to check on her in the hospital room. When Shouya saw An Xin Ya with tear-stained cheeks and misty eyes, he walked up to her and gently wiped away her tears. "Silly girl, why are you crying? Wushuang is fine!" 0

He also reassured her that her husband Lefas was there taking care of her and that she would recover soon. 0
