An Xin Ya cried in his arms, feeling like a defeated child, unsure of what to do.
After leaving the hospital, Shouya initially planned to drive Xinya back to the town, but halfway there, he suddenly changed his mind and drove her to a different location.
Upon arriving at their destination, An Xin Ya sensed something was off and asked, "Brother Shouya, weren't you supposed to take me home? Why are we here..."
This place was unfamiliar to her; she could vaguely hear the sound of waves crashing and the joyful laughter of children playing.
"This is the seaside beach. I brought you here to experience everything," he said as he helped her out of the car, holding her hand as they walked on the soft sand toward the sea.
Shouya gazed into the distance, where everything appeared white and hazy. The sea and sky blended together, making it hard to distinguish between water and sky.
"Do you hear anything?" Shouya asked An Xin Ya, watching as the sea breeze rustled her dress and lifted her long, dark hair.
An Xin Ya felt the refreshing, slightly salty sea breeze on her cheeks, accompanied by the sound of crashing waves. In that moment, she felt an immense sense of relief wash over her.
As the sun set, An Xin Ya sat on the beach with her head resting on Shouya's shoulder, taking in the beauty of the ocean.
Shouya looked out at the endless sea, holding An Xin Ya's hand tightly. He whispered in her ear, "Xinya, please believe me. I will definitely heal your eyes and help you see this world again..."
"Yes! I believe you! I truly believe you!" An Xin Ya nodded, tears streaming down her face.
Thinking about how good Brother Shouya had been to her made her wonder how she could repay him. She suddenly had an idea: she wanted to give him a gift to thank him for taking care of her and Grandma An during this time.
However, she didn't know what kind of gift to give Brother Shouya. Once she got home, she pondered for a long time before deciding to call Wushuang for help.
But she didn't have Wushuang's phone number. The next day, she personally asked Brother Shouya for Wushuang's contact information. Shouya inquired why she suddenly needed Wushuang's number. She smiled and replied that it was because she missed her!
After that, Shouya didn't say anything else. Since she didn't have a mobile phone number, she gave her home phone number instead. Besides, even if she had a mobile phone, Rafas wouldn't allow her to share her number with others, especially male friends.
An Xin Ya happily noted it down.
It was just like not long ago when Wushuang suddenly called him using her home phone number. He was quite surprised at the time, and when he picked up the phone, he realized that Wushuang was calling to apologize for what happened with Lefas at the hospital that day.
He thought it wasn't a big deal at all and that there was no need for an apology. He remembered that Wushuang's Snowball was still at Xinya's house, and he returned Snowball to her the next day.
His feelings for Wushuang were no longer as strong as before, especially since he was now only interested in one person: An Xin Ya.
That same evening, An Xin Ya dialed Wushuang's home phone number, which she had memorized.
"Hello, who are you looking for?" A female voice came from the other end of the line, but it wasn't Wushuang's voice. She guessed it must be a servant from Wushuang's house.
"Um, I'm looking for Miss Wushuang. Could you please let her know that I'm An Xin Ya?"
"Okay, please hold on!"
Not long after, someone on the other end said "hello." Hearing that familiar voice, An Xin Ya immediately recognized it as Wushuang's.
An Xin Ya was thrilled: "Wushuang, it's me! Are you doing well?"
"Xinya, I knew it was you; the servant just told me. I rushed over to answer the phone," Wushuang said excitedly on the other end, unable to hide her joy. "I'm doing fine! By the way, how did you get my home phone number?"
"I asked Brother Shouya for it."
"Oh!"
"I would like to ask you for a favor."
"What is it? Just say it, and I will help you as long as I can," Wushuang said.
"Um..." An Xin Ya hesitated for a long time before saying, "Brother Shouya is a really nice person. He has taken great care of both me and my grandmother, stepping up to help us. I am very grateful to him, so I want to buy a gift for him to thank him for his help during this time. But I don't know what kind of gift to get him."
"Men don't really care much about what kind of gift it is, as long as it comes from the heart. Actually, a gift is just an interpretation of goodwill, varying from person to person and situation to situation. Why not buy him a tie?" Wushuang suggested.
"Okay, I'll listen to you and buy a tie for Brother Shouya, but..."
"What's wrong, Xinya?" Wushuang seemed to sense something on the other end of the phone and asked.
"Someone like me doesn't know how to choose. I was wondering if you have time to accompany me to pick out a tie?" An Xin Ya asked Wushuang.
"Sure, but I can't leave the castle for now. How about in a few days?"
"Alright." An Xin Ya seemed to think of something and asked with concern, "You two have reconciled, right?"
She had heard that Wushuang had been discharged from the hospital and was taken back to the castle by her husband, Rafas. So many days had passed; their conflicts should have been resolved by now!
"Yes!" Wushuang replied softly.
Through the phone, An Xin Ya could feel Wushuang's happiness; she really needed to congratulate both of them properly.
After chatting with Wushuang for a long time, An Xin Ya heard Rafas's voice on the other end of the line, prompting Wushuang to hurriedly end the call.
In the following days, An Xin Ya had not seen Brother Shouya, nor had he come to her house or taken her to the hospital for a follow-up examination. She was unsure what he was busy with. Occasionally, her grandmother would mumble about how Shouya had not been around lately, while she continued attending Maria Music Training Class to practice the piano.
A week later, An Xin Ya received a call from Yan Wushuang, who said she finally had time to accompany her to buy gifts.
Yan Wushuang arrived at the bottom of An Xin Ya's building in a private car and saw Xinya waiting for her. Upon seeing Xinya, she felt an overwhelming joy; it had been quite some time since they last met.
"Xinya..."
An Xin Ya had dressed casually after receiving Wushuang's call and informed her grandmother before heading downstairs to wait for her. The moment she heard Wushuang's voice, her smile blossomed like a flower.
Wushuang opened the car door, got out, walked up to Xinya, took her hand, and said, "I'm so glad to see you. Get in the car; I'll take you to the mall to pick out some things."
"Okay!" An Xin Ya replied with a gentle smile as she got into the car with Wushuang.
At an internationally renowned men's clothing store...
Yan Wushuang held An Xin Ya's hand as they entered the men's store. A salesperson greeted them with a smile and began introducing the clothing available.
She led An Xin Ya to sit on a sofa and asked the salesperson to bring over all their best ties for her to choose from.
The salesperson then brought all the ties for them to look at and select from.
"I wonder what color Brother Shouya likes?" Yan Wushuang asked as she looked at the dazzling array of ties in the salesperson's hands, unsure of what to choose.
"What colors do you have?" Although An Xin Ya couldn't see, she was very curious about what kind of tie the Salesperson had brought.
"There are several classic striped ties made of twill silk here. We have light purple, grape purple, powder blue, cherry blossom pink, sky blue, and crimson red. There's also a fashionable Korean version in purple jacquard silk..." The Salesperson smiled as she introduced each tie she held.
"I think this dark blue one looks nice."
"Miss, you have great taste! This dark blue one is very popular; it's stable and simple, and it looks really good when worn..." The Salesperson continued to speak enthusiastically.
"Xinya, what do you think?" Wushuang turned to look at Xinya and asked softly.
After hearing so much from the Salesperson, An Xin Ya had made up her mind. With her beautiful empty eyes fixed straight ahead, she said, "I'll take the dark blue one! Please wrap it up!"
"Okay, please wait a moment!" The Salesperson went to package it and soon returned to inform her of the price.
An Xin Ya fished out a card from her purse and handed it to the Salesperson; this card didn't require a password.
Holding tightly onto the gift she had just bought for Brother Shouya, An Xin Ya slowly walked out of the men's clothing store with Yan Wushuang's assistance.
Yan Wushuang checked the time and thought it was still early, so she suggested to An Xin Ya, "Shall we go have some coffee together?"
"Sure!" An Xin Ya agreed.
Wings of Coffee Night
As they entered the café, the appearance of the two girls drew the attention of everyone inside, who were amazed by their beauty.
Yan Wushuang pulled An Xin Ya to a seat by the window and then ordered two cups of coffee from the waiter.
"I'm really sorry to have you accompany me to shop!" An Xin Ya said apologetically to Yan Wushuang, leaning on her cane.
"It's fine. I have plenty of free time every day. If Yezi weren't busy today, the three of us could have gathered together," Yan Wushuang replied with a smile.
"Hehe... no matter what, I'm very grateful to you today," An Xin Ya said sincerely, holding her hand.
At that moment, Yan Wushuang placed her other hand on Xinya's hand and suddenly asked her what Brother Shouya had been busy with lately. Was he still occupied with experiments for her eyesight recovery?
An Xin Ya thought for a moment and nodded in response, saying she wasn't quite sure. Brother Shouya hadn't come to see her for over half a month. He had taken her for an examination earlier, but she wasn't clear if he was busy with that.
Thinking of Brother Shouya made An Xin Ya feel sweet inside as she stroked the items she had just bought from the store.
Yes, it had already been half a month since she last saw Brother Shouya. She really didn't know what he was busy with; it seemed like he hadn't even called. She couldn't help but feel a bit anxious and even missed and worried about him.
"Xinya, when are you going to give this gift to Brother Shouya?" Yan Wushuang elegantly sipped her coffee and suddenly asked.
"I don't know either; it depends on the situation!" An Xin Ya felt a bit nervous, afraid that Brother Shouya wouldn't like the gift she prepared for him.
Just then, a deep and magnetic male voice sounded above them, "Excuse me, beautiful ladies, may I join your conversation?"
