They had not spoken to each other for several days. An Xin Ya was still sulking, noticing that he sometimes spent the entire day out busy with things, hardly ever coming home. When he did return, he would collapse directly onto the sofa and fall asleep.
Clearly, it was his fault; why wouldn't he just apologize to her? Xinya thought to herself. In the past, he had cared about her feelings and would actively apologize and suggest making up.
Since he wasn't going to apologize, she wouldn't take the initiative to talk to him or suggest reconciliation either.
That day, An Xin Ya walked out of Maria Music Training Class deep in thought, only to see Morina waiting for her outside the door.
Morina approached her with an elegant smile, but there was a hint of melancholy in his expression. He had recently learned that Shouya had returned to Las Vegas and knew that she had quarreled with him.
Not long ago, he received a call from the flower shop informing him that his staff had been attacked and warned not to deliver flowers anymore, which finally succeeded in angering that guy.
Morina suggested they go eat at Louisiana Restaurant again. An Xin Ya didn't refuse; after all, she didn't want to face Shouya's face, so she agreed to go with Morina.
"There's a banquet tomorrow night, and I would like to invite you to attend with me," Morina said as he set down his knife and fork, his deep eyes shimmering gently as he looked at An Xin Ya.
An Xin Ya initially wanted to decline, but thinking about how Shouya misunderstood her made her want to annoy him. So she smiled lightly and accepted Morina's invitation to attend the banquet with him tomorrow night.
To prepare for the banquet, An Xin Ya tried on several evening gowns in her room but felt none of them suited her well. Just then, "Ding dong..." someone rang the doorbell. Who could it be?
An Xin Ya walked out of her room and opened the door to find a delivery person. He handed her a brown paper bag and asked her to sign on the delivery slip.
Without asking what it was, An Xin Ya signed her name on the slip and took the bag back into her room.
Upon opening it, she found a beautiful evening gown. Who sent this? She returned to her room and stood in front of the mirror to try it on. At that moment, her phone on the counter rang. She picked it up and saw an unfamiliar number. When she answered, a deep and magnetic male voice came through, "Did you receive the gown? Do you like it?"
Recognizing the familiar voice, An Xin Ya immediately knew it was Your Highness Morina's voice. So this evening gown was sent by him. She smiled gently and replied, "I really like it; thank you!"
Morina didn't say much else; he simply mentioned that he would drive over to pick her up at seven o'clock that evening. An Xin Ya sat quietly as there was still an hour until the banquet; she needed to prepare herself properly.
At exactly seven o'clock, her phone rang again. It was Morina, saying that his car was waiting at her doorstep.
An Xin Ya, wearing the white strapless dress he had sent her, walked out of her room. The living room was empty; she couldn't see Shouya anywhere. What was he busy with all day? Stepping outside, she indeed saw a luxurious and impressive Rolls-Royce parked at her front door.
Inside the car, Morina noticed An Xin Ya coming out and quickly opened the car door to get out. He walked up to her, his gaze flickering as he looked at the dress he had personally chosen for her. Under the white veil was a lightly champagne-colored skirt that complemented her fair skin. The elegant yet simple patterns were extraordinary, and a gentle breeze could lift the white fabric, making her look like a fairy. The strapless design highlighted her beautiful collarbone.
She felt something was missing around her neck; it needed something to embellish it for a more perfect look. Morina had already prepared for this. He took out a diamond necklace from his bag and personally placed it around her neck.
This was also carefully selected by him; he wanted An Xin Ya to be the most eye-catching goddess at the banquet. Looking at the necklace around her neck, the perfect heart-shaped curve concealed a diamond flower, giving the diamond a sense of rigid beauty. The small diamonds set along the bottom enhanced the pendant, adding a touch of noble elegance to her appearance.
An Xin Ya touched the necklace around her neck; it must be very valuable. She raised her eyes to look at Morina under the lights and said, "I can't accept this."
"This is a gift for you; since it's already on your neck, it belongs to you now." A gentle glimmer crossed Morina's eyes as he took her hand and said, "Alright, enough talk. Get in the car!"
An Xin Ya felt embarrassed and quickly pulled her hand away, lowering her eyes with a hint of panic in her heart.
Seeing the flustered expression on her face, Morina realized his earlier action had startled her. He turned around and opened the car door for her.
After hesitating for a moment, she finally got in.
At that moment, Shouya returned in his car and happened to see An Xin Ya getting into a Rolls-Royce. As the door closed behind her, he noticed that the man getting into the driver's seat was Morina.
He angrily slammed his hands on the steering wheel and cursed under his breath. He wanted to see where they were going and followed closely behind their car.
Las Vegas Sky Garden Hotel
The car stopped outside the grand hotel entrance. The driver quickly got out and opened the door for An Xin Ya. She stepped out of the car and looked up at the magnificent and opulent hotel.
In the center of Floral Splendor stood a Fountain, surrounded by an abundance of fine wine and exquisite dishes. The guests coming and going were all prominent figures from politics and business, as well as renowned socialites from various circles, creating an atmosphere that was at its peak.
At that moment, Morina walked up to her, slightly bending his arm to indicate that she should take his arm.
An Xin Ya saw his bent elbow and hesitated for a moment before reaching out to hook her arm through his. Regardless, she still tried her best to maintain some distance from Morina.
As she linked her arm with Morina's, An Xin Ya felt a mix of discomfort, embarrassment, tension, anxiety, and even fear flooding her heart. After all, this was her first time attending such a grand banquet with someone she wasn't familiar with.
Morina noticed the woman's nervousness beside him and smiled slightly without saying a word. Together they stepped into the Banquet Hall, and in an instant, all eyes were drawn to them.
Without a doubt, they were the most outstanding couple at the entire banquet; the man was handsome and charming, while the woman exuded elegance and grace. With just a hint of makeup, her delicate features highlighted her noble aura.
Various gazes from all directions converged upon them.
An Xin Ya felt increasingly uncomfortable and anxious as she held onto Morina's arm tightly. Suddenly, a hand reached over to pat her hand. She looked up in surprise at the hand and then followed it up to see Morina giving her a reassuring smile with his eyes, silently telling her not to be nervous because he was there.
Everyone in the banquet hall recognized His Royal Highness, the Third Prince of the United Kingdom. They approached him with their glasses raised for small talk, but most of their attention was focused on his beautiful companion beside him.
A cascade of shiny black hair fell over her shoulders, with slender Willow Brows framing her enchanting eyes. Her elegant Yao Nose complemented her slightly flushed cheeks, while her luscious lips were as red as ripe fruit. Her skin was snow-white and translucent like jade, radiating a gentle beauty—truly an exquisite Eastern Beauty.
Morina could see envy and jealousy in the eyes of the men around him. Tonight he had become the most envied man at the banquet, and a proud smile curled at the corners of his mouth.
An Xin Ya remained silent as she observed the luxurious scene around her. Almost every man's gaze fell upon her with hungry desire, though they concealed it well. At the same time, jealous glances from women also landed on her, making her feel increasingly uneasy.
At that moment, beautiful music began to play. Some people took their wives or partners onto the stage to dance gracefully in time with the music. They moved elegantly with perfect harmony alongside their dance partners.
"Xinya, why don't we go up and dance together?" Morina suggested as he watched couples twirling on stage to the music before turning to An Xin Ya.
An Xin Ya was taken aback, looking at Morina, and awkwardly said, "I can't dance."
"It's okay, I can teach you," Morina would not easily give up the chance to dance with her! He smiled and gentlemanly extended his hand, waiting for her response.
An Xin Ya furrowed her brows slightly, glanced at the stage, then at Morina, mustered her courage, and placed her hand in his palm as they walked onto the stage together.
The spotlight suddenly shone on them, and the audience erupted into enthusiastic applause.
They began to dance with the music. She indeed wasn't very good at dancing and stepped on his feet several times. Embarrassed, she asked him if it hurt. He smiled and said it was fine.
However, An Xin Ya learned quickly; she grasped the steps, and her skirt swayed beautifully as she danced, resembling a fairy.
They once again became a dazzling pair, with all eyes focused on them.
At that moment, Shouya rushed in breathlessly. Upon seeing them embracing and dancing on stage, his handsome face darkened instantly. His deep black eyes resembled two volcanoes about to erupt, and an inexplicable fire ignited in his chest. Without saying a word, he pushed through the crowd and rushed forward to pull An Xin Ya away from Morina, glaring at Morina. "Morina, how dare you touch my woman..."
The crowd gasped in surprise as they watched the three of them on stage. The music abruptly stopped, and the dancing couples froze in place, staring in astonishment at the scene.
An Xin Ya had no idea what was happening. When she realized that the newcomer was Shouya, her eyes widened in surprise as she frowned at him. "Brother Shouya, what are you doing here?"
"What am I doing here? How can you even ask me that? I should be asking you why you're with him! If I hadn't followed you here, I wouldn't have believed that you were secretly getting close to him..." Shouya turned angrily to An Xin Ya and saw her wearing a strapless dress. His anger surged even more as he gritted his teeth and shouted.
An Xin Ya shook her head, feeling utterly helpless. How could he say such things? Did he really doubt her sincerity? Did he truly question her loyalty?
