I think I might have been fainted by Xu Yan's betrayal.
Shen Ning sat at the head of the bed, looking at me with a worried expression. "Are you okay, Lu Yang?"
My vision was still hazy. I grabbed his hand and asked him in a daze, "Why don't you call me your wife anymore?"
The man fell silent, and the air was so quiet that I could hear his strong heartbeat.
After a long while, he finally spoke. " Lu Yang, I and Yuan..."

He would rather be with Yuan forever than be apart from Shen Ning.
I took a deep breath, turned over in bed, and refused to look at him.
"I understand. I will support you both."
After I said that, I heard Shen Ning let out a long sigh behind me. My hand clutched the blanket tightly.
That night was undoubtedly a sleepless one.
The next morning, I got out of bed and Shen Ning had already left for work.
I opened the wardrobe to change clothes, only to find that the space where Shen Ning's clothes used to hang was completely empty.
I couldn't believe it. I pulled open several drawers, and more than half of his clothes were gone.

The blinding sunlight poured into the dark basement. I instinctively squinted and saw Shen Ning being held up by two police officers on the basement steps.

My conversation with Xu Yan this time ended without resolution.
The next time I saw her was on the day Shen Ning was released from prison.
When I took a taxi to the prison, Xu Yan had already thrown herself into Shen Ning's arms.
From a distance, I could hear her crying and telling Shen Ning that they needed to escape from me quickly.
I sneered. Shen Ning and I were not divorced, so was she really willing to be a mistress like this?
As I stepped forward, Shen Ning immediately shielded her behind him, as if I were a monstrous demon ready to devour her.
I looked at Xu Yan and smiled lightly, extending my hand towards her. "Yuan, let's talk."
She shook her head, gripping Shen Ning's clothing even tighter.

With that, Shen Ning left, pulling Xu Yan along with him.

I called a taxi and followed them, discovering they were headed to a restaurant, seemingly to celebrate Shen Ning's release from prison and welcome him back.

As soon as I said this, Shen Ning's expression grew even more serious.
I looked at him, calm and composed at that moment. I knew he would agree.

Both sets of parents rushed over and quickly called for an ambulance to take Shen Ning to the hospital.
Xu Yan squatted on the ground, crying loudly, while I expressionlessly wiped the blood from my hands and looked down at her, asking, "Is Shen Ning really that great?"
Xu Yan sat on the ground, her eyes filled with tears as she gazed at me, seemingly assessing me.
After a long while, she spoke as if making a promise to me: " Lu Yang, just wait. I will settle things with Shen Ning."
After saying this, she wiped her tears and followed the ambulance.
Shen Ning was injured, but her parents chose not to call the police. Instead, they had a serious conversation with me.
Their words essentially conveyed that Shen Ning was sorry for what happened, and they were willing to compensate me with money, just asking me not to have any further contact with Shen Ning or Xu Yan.
I agreed.
Five million is no small amount.
