Rowe had already met Shouya outside and walked into the basement. At the entrance, two burly bodyguards stood watch. The further they went inside, the darker it became, and after turning a corner, they entered a dimly lit room.
The man saw Rowe and Shouya enter and greeted them before stepping back to stand beside them.
Shouya ordered someone to turn on the lights. As the lights illuminated the room, it became bright enough to clearly see the two women inside.
The two women, terrified and panicked, trembled and huddled together in a corner, shaking their heads and repeatedly crying out, "No, no! Why have you brought us here? What have we done to offend you..."
Shouya approached them. The two women appeared to be in their forties or fifties, with aged faces covered in wrinkles and various spots.
"Are you sure it's them?" Shouya asked Rowe with a serious expression and furrowed brows.
"Yes, they are the servants who served Bai Jingyan and his wife and took care of Bai Huixin during her childhood," Rowe replied.
"I will ask you one thing. As long as you tell me the truth, I won't harm you. If you dare to lie, then you won't leave here alive," Shouya warned.
Horrified by his words, the two women quickly crawled closer and said, "I will tell you the truth..."
"Twenty-one years ago, did Bai Group's chairman Bai Jingyan have an illegitimate daughter named Bai Huixin?" Shouya asked calmly, his dark eyes as deep as an abyss.
The two women looked at him in shock and exchanged glances, neither daring to speak.
"Why aren't you answering my question?" Shouya pressed on when he saw their silence, his voice chilling. How long did they plan to protect that old fox?
Startled by his icy tone, one of the women wearing a loose floral shirt spoke up. "Back then, I worked as a servant for the Bai Family and knew some things about them. Master Bai indeed had an illegitimate daughter named Bai Huixin. He had an affair with a woman surnamed Wang. The woman became pregnant with Master Bai's child but unfortunately died during childbirth. Madam Bai was unable to conceive; being kind-hearted, she had no choice but to accept Master Bai's child with another woman."
Shouya's cold gaze fixed on the woman who had once served in the Bai Family before shifting to the plump woman beside her—she must be the Nursemaid.
Seeing that her colleague had revealed everything, the Nursemaid felt compelled to speak up as well. "At that time, the child was only three months old when she was brought back. I was hired by Madam Bai as a Nursemaid responsible for breastfeeding the child; beyond that, I truly don't know anything else..."
"Is there anything else?" Seeing the two of them hesitating, Shouya knew they were hiding more information. He hoped they would be sensible and reveal everything at once; otherwise, he would not hold back.
"There's also..." The servant glanced at the Nursemaid, rolled her eyes, and said, "That year, Master Bai and Madam Bai both died in a plane crash, and Master Bai's brother, Bai Jingsong, took the opportunity to inherit all the assets."

Shouya knew the servant was deliberately concealing the truth and began to press them for answers.
"This..." The servant and Nursemaid exchanged glances, looked up at the cold-faced Shouya, and said, "We really don't know anything; we truly don't know..."
"I already said that if you dare to lie, you won't leave here alive." After saying this, the tall and strong man approached, his hands clenched tightly making cracking sounds as he glared at them menacingly.
"I'll tell you, I'll tell you..."
"I'll go first..."
The two women spoke over each other. The servant forcefully pushed aside the Nursemaid and looked at Shouya, saying, "Back then, Bai Jingsong bribed a lawyer to alter the will and paid off all the servants in the house as hush money to keep the existence of the young lady a secret. He then sent the few-month-old Hui Xin to an orphanage. Those of us who had worked for the Bai Family for years were all dismissed by Bai Jingsong a few months later. What's worse is that he even embezzled our wages and ruthlessly kicked us out..."
"Then why didn't you report him?" Rowe, who was standing next to Shouya, suddenly asked.
"Sigh, for common folks like us, it's better to avoid trouble. We can't afford to provoke such a bully, but we can avoid him!" The servant chuckled helplessly.
Listening to them reveal what Bai Jingsong had done back then provided evidence against him; he could just wait for him to go to jail!
However, it was impossible for just these two women to testify against that old fox alone. The key person was the lawyer who helped Bai Jingsong alter the will.
"Very well! If you help me testify against Bai Jingsong's misdeeds in court, this fifty thousand here will all belong to you." Shouya ordered someone to open a black box filled with shiny RMB notes. The two women's eyes lit up as they eagerly nodded in agreement to testify against Bai Jingsong.
Closing the box, Shouya turned and walked out of the basement. Behind him came the voice of the Nursemaid: "When can we leave?"
"Very soon, as long as you appear in court to testify against Bai Jingsong, you can leave," Shouya said. Just to be safe, he was worried that if he let them go early, they might disappear when it came time to testify. The only thing he could ensure was their safety; if Bai Jingsong found out, their lives would be in danger.
After exiting the secret passage from the basement, Shouya suddenly asked Rowe, who was following him, "Have you found the lawyer who modified the will back then?"
"Not yet, but I've already sent someone to look for him secretly. I believe we'll have news in a couple of days," Rowe replied.
Shouya didn't ask anything further. He trusted Rowe and his team's ability to get things done and believed they would soon locate that lawyer. When the time came, they would all testify against Bai Jingsong for his past actions, showing the world this ugly man wearing a mask and returning everything he had taken to its rightful owner.
After leaving the basement, Shouya drove back to Millennium Hotel. It had only been a few hours, but he missed Xinya dearly.
He soon arrived at Millennium Hotel. The car smoothly stopped at the entrance, and a neatly dressed bellboy approached, took his car keys, and drove his car to the garage.
Shouya strode into the hotel and took the elevator upstairs. As the black elevator doors slowly opened, he was astonished to see Xinya waiting outside.
Xinya also looked surprised to see him in the elevator and asked, "Brother Shouya, you're back!"
Shouya stepped out of the elevator, placed his hands on her shoulders, looked at her gently, and asked softly, "Where are you going?"
"I'm hungry, going down to eat!" An Xinya said with wide eyes, looking at Shouya with sparkling eyes and a sweet smile.
"You didn't eat when you woke up?" Shouya asked with a furrowed brow.
"You left, and I fell asleep again. I just woke up now," An Xinya replied cutely, revealing a row of neat white teeth.
Seeing her innocent demeanor reminded Shouya of a child. He lightly brushed his finger against her nose and wrapped his arm around her slender waist. "I'll go down with you to eat!"
The elevator doors slowly opened again. They both entered the elevator together. As it descended to the first floor and they walked into the restaurant, they found a window-side table and ordered several home-style dishes to eat.
"Xinya, I need to tell you something." Shouya, who was eating, put down his chopsticks and looked seriously at An Xin Ya.
An Xin Ya, chewing her food lightly, looked at Shouya with a puzzled expression and asked, "What do you want to tell me, Brother Shouya?"
She stuffed more shredded potatoes into her mouth; they were delicious. Everything tastes good when you're hungry!
"I have already found the servants who worked for the Bai Family back then, including your Nursemaid. They have revealed everything that Bai Jingsong did twenty-one years ago."
An Xin Ya, who was eating, almost choked. She coughed and took a few sips of water, her eyes widening in surprise as she looked at Shouya. "What? You found them? But why are you looking for them? They were just workers who served my family back then."
"It's simple. I want them to come forward and testify against Bai Jingsong. That way, you can rightfully reclaim the Bai Group," Shouya said, his dark and deep eyes fixed on An Xin Ya.
"But no matter what he did to me in the past, he is still my uncle, my father's biological brother. No matter how you put it, I can't just eliminate him!" An Xin Ya said softly, frowning. Ever since she saw her so-called uncle at that banquet, she had not liked him at all, but he was still her uncle.
"You may see him as your uncle, but he does not regard you as a niece. If he truly saw you as his own niece, he wouldn't have secretly altered the will with a lawyer to take everything that belongs to you," Shouya said. "Besides, he doesn't want to sell the Bai Family to Mokani. You should have seen what kind of schemes he's plotting..."
An Xin Ya remained silent, struggling internally. Her frown deepened; she didn't know what to do.
"If you let him go this time and he discovers your identity later, he'll come up with other schemes to exploit you for his own gain." A cunning person like Bai Jingsong should not be taken lightly; his past actions were despicable and deserved legal consequences.
Shouya reached out and tightly grasped her hand. An Xin Ya looked at his hand without speaking. Whatever decision Brother Shouya made, she would agree with and respect his wishes. She nodded; she didn't want to be weak anymore. She wanted to reclaim everything that belonged to her and everything that belonged to her father.
