Shu Ran seemed to sense someone watching her. Following her instinct, she looked over and suddenly met someone's gaze.
It was a pair of eyes as black as an endless abyss. Locking eyes with him felt as if everything could be seen through. In just a second, Shu Ran averted her gaze, unable to look any longer.

Shu Ran had heard his name during high school from the girls around her.

The premise for meeting such a male lead was whether there was indeed someone like that. Coincidentally, Qin Xian fit the criteria perfectly.

Shu Ran shook her head with a smile and then gave him her phone number.

Then he turned to them and said, "Stop standing around. Let's go sit over there."

The private room was noisy and chaotic, with only one person sitting there, somewhat detached and indifferent, as if he were outside of this scene.
Cao Yun brought her friends to sit across from Qin Xian and said, "Brother, this is Zhou Jiajia, and this is Shu Ran." She then introduced them, "This is my brother, Qin Xian."
Qin Xian had been looking at his phone. Hearing the voice, he raised his head and replied casually, "Hmm."
However, from the moment he looked away from his phone, his gaze was fixed intently on Shu Ran.

Especially his brows and eyes; when he gazed intently, they resembled a calm black sea. It reminded Zhou Jiajia of a saying she had read: capable of being fierce and captivating the soul.
Cao Yun sensed that the atmosphere was somewhat off but didn't dwell on it.
"Do you want something to drink? I'll go get it."
Zhou Jiajia was still exclaiming about Qin Xian's looks when she heard Cao Yun's question and quickly replied, "I want some alcohol; Shu Ran doesn't drink, so just get her any soft drink."
Shu Ran smiled and nodded in agreement with Zhou Jiajia's words.
Cao Yun then stood up to get the drinks.
The atmosphere suddenly became a bit awkward. Shu Ran, not good with words, didn't know what to say, and Zhou Jiajia also dared not speak to Qin Xian. As for Qin Xian, he was already accustomed to such situations and didn't mind.
Fortunately, at that moment, Wu Wang came over to ask Shu Ran if she wanted to play cards. Shu Ran asked what they would be playing.
Wu Wang said, "Two teams of two, and the first team to finish playing all their cards wins. The losing team has to drink."
There were four people, and Cao Yun had not returned yet. Wu Wang asked Qin Xian if he wanted to join, and Qin Xian agreed.
Wu Wang explained the game rules, drew four cards, and placed them on the table in order. The team with the three of hearts and three of diamonds was one team, while the team with the three of spades and three of clubs was the other.
In the first round, Shu Ran drew first and got the three of diamonds, while Zhou Jiajia drew the three of spades. Next was Qin Xian's turn; he glanced at Shu Ran and then drew the three of hearts. Wu Wang drew last and got the three of spades. He sighed and said, "Why am I not on the same team as our Class Flower?" The consequence of this remark was a hard pinch from Zhou Jiajia.
This game relied on tacit understanding and cooperation. Teammates needed to understand each other and play their cards according to the situation to help their partner succeed.
Shu Ran's hand was poor; she couldn't form any pairs, and her single cards were too low in value. She glanced at Qin Xian, unsure of what his hand looked like.
Qin Xian was very perceptive and observant.

Cao Yun had just returned, holding beer and drinks, and apologized, saying, "I just got a call."
Zhou Jiajia waved her hand dismissively and said, "You all play, I'm going to sing."
Only then did Cao Yun sit down. After understanding the rules, he also started to play.
In the second round, Shu Ran and Qin Xian formed one team, while Cao Yun and Wu Wang formed another.
The difference was that Wu Wang and Cao Yun were long-time partners with exceptional chemistry. Shu Ran struggled a bit, while Qin Xian remained calm and continued to support her.
