"Welcome."
At the sound of the clerk's greeting, everyone in the store paused their actions and turned their attention to the entrance.
A boy pushed the door open and walked in. He wore a simple, pure white shirt and gray jeans that accentuated his tall and handsome figure.
He slightly lowered his head, his thick black hair falling over his forehead. Below, a pair of deep brown eyes scanned the room calmly, taking in everyone present.
"Brother~ Brother~ over here~" Jiang Yihan waved her hand vigorously at him.
Hearing her call, Jiang Yiwei walked over slowly. His gaze shifted gently, observing the scene before him.
Two stylish girls stood facing his sister, while a group of sales assistants looked on awkwardly from the side. This scene indeed resembled what Jiang Yihan had described over the phone—she was being bullied.
However, there were not many people in S City who could make his delicate sister feel wronged, and he was curious about who this person might be.
As he got closer, a familiar and striking face came into view. "Zhou Jiajia?"
"Jiang Yiwei?" Zhou Jiajia exclaimed, "You... you are Jiang Yihan's brother?"
"Brother, do you know each other?" Jiang Yihan interjected.
"Yes, she's a college classmate of mine," Jiang Yiwei explained to both sides. "This is my sister, Jiang Yihan."
Zhou Jiajia looked at Jiang Yihan, who also turned to Zhou Jiajia. After half a second, they both disdainfully turned their heads away from each other with a scoff.
Jiang Yiwei chuckled to ease the tension. "Alright, what’s going on that has you two at odds? Let's hear it."
"Your sister took my stuff..."
"She insulted me..."
The two spoke in unison, ready to ignite a new round of bickering.
"Stop," Jiang Yiwei held up a stop sign, "I shouldn't have let you two talk."
One had a fiery personality, and the other was spoiled.
It would be strange if they didn't argue.
He looked around, intending to find someone to explain the situation.
Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of a petite and gentle figure quietly standing to the side.
His gaze settled on her face, carefully examining her. She had a pure appearance, with features proportioned like the golden ratio, especially her pair of sparkling eyes that were exceptionally striking, resembling a clear spring flowing gently, exuding a fresh and elegant aura.
He focused on Shu Ran, smiled, and spoke in a sincere and gentle tone, "Hello, can you tell me what just happened?"
Shu Ran raised her eyes and responded with a questioning "Hmm."
He patiently repeated his question, his smile handsome and genuine, resembling a modest gentleman.
Shu Ran glanced at the staff beside her, all of whom had their heads bowed.
Only then did she understand his intention and couldn't help but admire his thoughtful approach.
If the staff were to describe the situation, no matter how eloquently they spoke, they would inevitably offend one of the two parties involved. In that case, not only would she suffer, but it could also implicate everyone in the store.
Therefore, this matter needed to be explained by someone who was not a staff member but was aware of the cause and effect of the situation.
That person was her.
With this in mind, she began to speak: "I came shopping with my friend and was about to check out when Miss Jiang happened to walk in. Without saying a word, she insisted on taking the clothes we had already purchased. Naturally, we were unwilling, which led to the conflict."
In just a few sentences, she clarified the course of events.
Jiang Yiwei listened carefully, already distinguishing right from wrong in his heart.
He slightly bent his waist and politely apologized to them.
"I’m really sorry; my younger sister is being thoughtless and has caused you trouble."
"Forget it, forget it. I'll let it go this time because of you," one of them replied.
"Next time, I’ll treat you to a meal as an apology." He displayed all the manners of a gentleman, speaking with politeness that was in stark contrast to his sister's character.
"Mm." Zhou Jiajia responded lightly, took the bag from the sales assistant's hand, and walked away with Shu Ran without looking back.
Jiang Yiwei watched their departing figures, his gaze becoming meaningful.
Beside him, Jiang Yihan seemed struck dumb for a moment.
Once they stepped out the door, she regained her senses and questioned her brother incredulously, "Are you crazy? I asked you to help me seek justice; why did you let them go?"
Jiang Yiwei smirked slightly, unconsciously revealing a hint of mischief that was completely different from his earlier gentlemanly demeanor.
"Do you know you almost made a big mistake just now? Do you know who Zhou Jiajia is? She comes from a powerful family background; if you really went against her, you wouldn't come out unscathed."
"Not to mention she now has another identity. She's Zheng Tong's girlfriend from the Northern District; that status alone is enough to put you in your place."
Jiang Yihan was unconvinced.
Jiang Yiwei teased her, then threw out a bait. "Do you want to be superior in front of her? Do you want to one day stand above her?"
Jiang Yihan eagerly nodded.
Jiang Yiwei smiled wickedly; the fish had taken the bait.
"You just need to focus on winning Qin Xian's heart. Once you have him, who in S City would dare to look down on you? They would all have to bow down before you."
This huge temptation captivated Jiang Yihan, but she still asked, "Brother, but Qin Xian is not interested in women at all. I've been pursuing him for years and haven't seen him show any interest."
Jiang Yiwei chuckled, "What do you mean he's not interested in women? He took a girl to the movies just yesterday. The whole circle is buzzing about the appearance of Qin Group's Boss Lady."
"What! How come I didn't know! Who is that shameless woman?" Jiang Yihan exclaimed, unable to believe it and angrily cursing.
Upon hearing this, Jiang Yiwei got annoyed, "With your pig brain, all you think about is how to compete with others for clothes. How can you know what's going on or accomplish anything significant? If you keep this up, you'll deserve to be trampled on by others."
"Brother~"
"Alright, from now on I won't help you clean up your mess anymore. You better take care of yourself."
"And also, I'm not saying this to criticize you, but you need to pay more attention to Qin Xian. Put aside all your reservations and use whatever means necessary. Don't be timid. Men can't resist the temptation of soft and gentle charm."
"Moreover, with your looks, I really haven't found many who can compete with you. You should take advantage of this and win him over as soon as possible. Dad and I will always support you from behind, but don't let us down."
Jiang Yihan nodded and replied in a muffled voice, "I understand."
