On the first day living in the Qin Family home, Shu Ran felt that everyone in the villa was taking care of her almost excessively, as if they were afraid she would have an accident. There was always someone by her side.
After Qin Xian finished breakfast, he went to the company. Shu Ran wanted to make him lunch but he refused. The reason was that he wanted her to rest well and not overexert herself. He suggested that once she felt better, she could cook again.
Shu Ran felt that Qin Xian treated her like a seriously ill elderly person, unable to move or go out, and should not do anything. It was best for her not to think about anything to avoid excessive worry. Ideally, she should just lie in bed all day to recover quickly.
Sometimes, Shu Ran found his thoughts amusing yet could only obediently comply.
Perhaps it was because she had visited the Qin Family a couple of times or maybe the servants were overly enthusiastic, but she surprisingly did not feel strange or awkward in this new environment and adapted quite quickly.
She spent the entire morning wandering around the garden downstairs, occasionally chatting with the old gardener who shared his experiences about planting flowers. Perhaps due to the busy morning and exercise, she had a particularly good appetite at lunch and finished a whole bowl of rice.

After lunch, Shu Ran didn't have as much energy as she did in the morning and decided to head up to the third-floor screening room to spend the afternoon watching movies.
I have to say, Qin Xian is really thoughtful. Knowing that she would choose to watch a movie when she was bored, he had prepared all the good films from both domestic and international sources for her in advance.
At first, she chose a French film, Hachi: A Dog's Tale.
This was a movie she had watched many times before, and each time she watched it, she cried without exception.
Today was no different. Alone in the cinema on the third floor, she watched the screen where a dog waited for its owner through wind and rain. Even when it couldn't wait any longer, it stubbornly persisted. Tears began to fall from Shu Ran's eyes.

She shook her head and ultimately turned off the film.
