In the next fifteen minutes, I finally understood the whole story. For convenience, I will try to narrate this in the third person. 0

Before this incident, let me introduce Old Man Jin. 0

Jin Manyuan, the old man of the Jin Family, is a mysterious figure who emerged in Star City last century. He spends money like water, and no one knows where his wealth comes from; it just keeps flowing in. After establishing connections throughout Star City, he forcefully entered various business sectors. With ample capital and good relationships, he quickly secured his position in the upper class of Star City. 0

Subsequently, his business empire spread rapidly like an octopus extending its tentacles into various fields in Star City. No one knows exactly how many assets he has in Star City. A reporter once boasted that every street in Star City is owned by the Jin Family. 0

Jin Manyuan has two sons. The elder son, Jin Zhenzhong, is his successor and manages most of the family business. The younger son, Jin Xinghua, is a playboy who knows nothing but spending money and shows no interest in the family business; he only cares about getting money. Jin Zhenzhong can only shake his head and sigh at his brother, but who knows what he truly thinks inside? 0

Jin Zhenzhong also has two sons, Jin Zhao and Jin Yang. Jin Zhao has already started helping with the business, while Jin Yang is still studying abroad. As for Jin Xinghua, at forty years old, he has yet to start a family, let alone have children. 0

Jin Yang's major while studying abroad is Business Administration. Upon graduating and returning home, he was preparing to join the family group and make his mark when unexpectedly this incident occurred. 0

The story begins when Jin Yang just returned to the country. Although he is a wealthy third-generation heir of a big family, he is still a young man. As a young person, the first thing he did was take out his phone to gather his old friends for a reunion. 0

He sent a mass message to his friends on QQ but worried about missing someone, so he also sent it again on WeChat. Just as he was about to put down his phone to take a shower, it buzzed with an incoming message. 0

Jin Yang picked up his phone and saw a friend request on WeChat. 0

Seeing the name made Jin Yang chuckle; this person's WeChat name was "Turtle," with no profile picture and showing as someone nearby. Jin Yang laughed and confirmed the request. Soon after, Turtle sent a message: "Don't wear Red Clothes." 0

Jin Yang was taken aback by this message; his first thought was that it was a prank. He casually replied: "You have the wrong person!" 0

He put down his phone and went to take a shower. After finishing, he found an unread WeChat message on his phone. Opening it revealed another message from Turtle: "Jin Yang, don't wear Red Clothes." 0

Jin Yang was puzzled; who was this? Who would make such a boring joke? 0

His surprise was understandable because the Jin Family's villa is located in Chaoyang City, the most upscale area of Star City. The original plan for the area included zero three-story standalone villas arranged in two rows around a central garden and swimming pool forming two concentric circles. Old Man Jin boldly circled four buildings on the planning map and built an enormous villa on that land. 0
There was no way around it; this area was developed by the Jin Family. 0

The Jin Family Villa was also divided into three floors. The first floor consisted of the living room, dining room, and reception area, where the butler Shih Chih-Yang, driver Li Chao, and doctor Yang Guo'er all lived. The second floor housed the couple Jin Zhenzhong and Lin Xuan, along with Jin Xinghua and Jin Zhao, while Jin Yang's grandfather, Old Man Jin, occupied the entire third floor. Above the third floor, there was an attic, all of which belonged to Old Man Jin. No one could enter the third floor without his permission. 0

Aside from the Jin Family, everyone else living in this area were prominent figures in Star City. Even if someone knew Jin Yang, no one would be foolish enough to joke with him about it. If they were from outside the area, how would they even know Jin Yang's name? 0

Curiosity got the better of him, and Jin Yang sent a message asking for an explanation, but there was no response. 0

This ignited Jin Yang's stubborn nature; if you don't want me to wear it, I will wear it anyway. He rummaged through his closet and found a red shirt he had bought when he was hosting events in college. It still had shiny sequins on it from those occasions. Since the gathering was at a bar, wearing it wouldn’t seem overly flashy. Checking the time on his phone, he realized it was almost time for the gathering and headed out. 0

It wasn't until around three in the morning that Jin Yang returned home slightly tipsy. He could drink but not get drunk, and he had to come home no matter how late it was; this was a family rule set by Old Man Jin himself. No one dared to challenge his authority. 0

Back in his room and just about to wash up, he heard two knocks from outside the window. 0

"Knock knock!" 0

Jin Yang was startled; his room was on the second floor, so how could anyone be knocking on his window? The curtains were drawn, so he couldn't see outside at first and had to tilt his head to listen intently, but there was no sound. 0

After a moment, Jin Yang shook his head with a wry smile, thinking it must have been an illusion when the knocking sound came again. 0

"Knock knock knock!" 0

This time, Jin Yang clearly heard it; the sound was coming from the window glass. 0

"Who is it?" Although surprised, he wasn't particularly scared. For a well-educated young man like him, demons were just a joke. 0

There was silence outside as Jin Yang rushed to the window and swiftly pulled back the curtains. He opened the window and leaned out to look around. The streetlights in the area cast a soft glow over the courtyard; although dim, they illuminated everything clearly enough for Jin Yang to see that there was nothing outside. 0

After looking around for a while without noticing anything unusual, he puzzledly closed the window. Just as he was about to draw the curtains again, he suddenly saw something unbelievable reflected on the glass of the window. 0

A shadow! 0

A red shadow! 0

There was actually a red shadow behind him. 0

The shadow was blurry, vaguely resembling a person, with a head and four limbs, as if suspended in mid-air, rising and falling. 0

Jin Yang turned around in shock, even forgetting that he was still holding the curtain. With a snap, he pulled the curtain down. Jin Yang completely disregarded this, his eyes wide as he scanned his room, only to find nothing unusual; the spot where the shadow had appeared was empty. 0

Could it be that he was seeing things? Jin Yang glanced at the red shirt he was wearing, took a deep breath, and tossed the curtain aside. He stole another glance at the window glass; everything inside the window looked normal. 0

It must be that he drank too much and was seeing double. The reflection in the window glass was just his own red shirt, Jin Yang reassured himself. 0

He took out a bottle of mineral water from the fridge and gulped down more than half of it. Jin Yang exhaled, shook his head, and was about to prepare for a shower when a scream came from upstairs; it sounded like Old Man Jin. 0

Jin Yang paused for a moment before sprinting upstairs. 0

Reaching the third floor, Jin Yang reached for the doorknob of the old man's bedroom but found it locked. He had no choice but to knock on the door loudly, shouting, "Grandpa! Grandpa! What's wrong? Grandpa, speak!" 0

There was no response from inside, but he could hear noises as if furniture was being knocked over. 0

There was no time to find Steward Shi for the key. Jin Yang stepped back two paces, took a deep breath, and kicked the door with all his might. With a loud crash, the door flew open. 0

The room was in disarray. Old Man Jin was curled up on the floor. Upon seeing Jin Yang enter, he seemed to witness something extremely terrifying; his eyes were bloodshot as he pointed at Jin Yang, making incoherent sounds but unable to form a complete syllable. 0

"Dad!" 0

"Grandpa!" 0

Several calls came from behind, and Jin Zhenzhong and his wife, along with Jin Xinghua and Jin Zhao, rushed over. Upon seeing the situation, they couldn't help but exclaim in shock. 0

"Call Guo'er, quickly call Guo'er, hurry and call an ambulance!" Jin Zhenzhong rushed forward to hold Old Man Jin and shouted at his wife, Lin Xuan. 0

Lin Xuan hurried to the staircase and shouted downstairs, "Guo'er! Guo'er!" 0

Footsteps echoed in the stairwell as the butler Shih Chih-Yang and others rushed up. Yang Guo'er, although a girl, followed closely behind Shih Chih-Yang, her clothes somewhat disheveled but the medicine kit was not left behind. 0

Yang Guo'er rushed to Old Man Jin's side. The old man was still pointing at Jin Yang, his eyes wide with fear, his throat making a gurgling sound as if he wanted to shout but couldn't. Seeing this, Yang Guo'er frowned slightly and said softly, "Young Master Yang, please get me a glass of water!" 0

Jin Yang quickly poured a glass of water and handed it to Yang Guo'er. She had already found a medicine bottle in the kit, opened the cap, poured out a few pills, and fed them to Old Man Jin. 0

Old Man Jin closed his eyes and breathed for a moment before opening them again. His gaze was no longer confused; he took a deep breath and said, "A ghost! A ghost in red clothes! Floating around in my room." 0

Everyone turned their attention to Jin Yang, their expressions varied. The only one wearing red clothes was Jin Yang. 0

Jin Yang hurriedly said, "I only came up because I heard Grandpa shouting for me; I kicked the door open!" 0

Jin Zhenzhong whispered sharply, "Lower your voice. There's no one here; why are you explaining so loudly?" 0

Jin Yang immediately fell silent; no matter how wronged he felt, he had to keep quiet. Everything now revolved around the old man's health. 0

Before long, the ambulance arrived. Old Man Jin was taken to the hospital. After examination, the hospital confirmed that Old Man Jin's condition was stable and advised him to rest. Nevertheless, they kept him in the hospital for observation while Jin Zhenzhong stayed by his side. Jin Yang and the others returned home first. 0

Once at home, Jin Yang felt something was off. He had also seen a red shadow in his room; could it be that there really was a ghost? 0

Remembering that his friend Zhong Kui specialized in this kind of thing, he quickly dialed his number. After a few rings, a girl answered and took a message. Jin Yang hung up the phone and fell asleep in confusion. 0

Jin Yang was awakened by a knocking sound at the door. When he opened it, he saw two police officers—one tall and one short. The tall police officer asked, "Jin Yang?" 0

Jin Yang was confused and nodded in response. 0

"We suspect you are involved in a murder case. Please come with us for an investigation," said the Tall Police Officer. 0

"What? Murder? Who did I kill?" Jin Yang exclaimed in shock. 0

"Your grandfather, Golden Prosperity, passed away at the hospital around noon. The cause of death was excessive shock!" another Short Policeman said, staring at Jin Yang slowly. Due to Jin Yang's height of 1.8 meters, the officer had to look up to meet his gaze. 0

"What? My grandfather is dead? At noon? Excessive shock? How is that possible! The doctor said he was fine in the morning! What do you mean? Am I the murderer?" Jin Yang shouted, his mind in chaos. 0

"That's right. Your grandfather died from shock after seeing the message you sent him!" The Short Policeman took a step back, staring at Jin Yang, intentionally blocking the exit at the door. 0

"Impossible! Impossible!" Jin Yang pulled out his phone and held it up, shouting, "I didn't send any messages!" 0

The Short Policeman was about to say something, but the Tall Police Officer stopped him: "Whatever you have to say, explain it back at the station. Let's go!" 0

Seeing the wary looks from the two officers, Jin Yang's mind cleared a bit. Since he felt innocent, going along with them didn’t seem like a big deal. 0

Unexpectedly, upon investigation, all evidence pointed to Jin Yang. He was the first person wearing Red Clothes to appear in his grandfather's room that night, and the multimedia message received on his grandfather's phone was also sent by Jin Yang. 0
