I didn't even raise my eyelids. "Lin Yiran, I've made myself very clear."
"Our relationship is over."
Lin Yiran took a deep breath. "I can let Chen Duo go."
"Whatever amount you want, I can meet your demands."
"As long as you marry me."
I laughed. "Lin Yiran, in your eyes, I'm just a dog without dignity."
"As long as there's money, I'll bow my head, right?"
Lin Yiran was taken aback.
I stood up and looked down at her. "Let me tell you this."
"I, Jiang Hai, will no longer bow my head for money."
"I hope you disappear from my life forever."
Lin Yiran glared at me. "Jiang Hai, are you sure you want to keep this up?"
"At that point, I fear it will be hard to wrap things up."
I was tired and didn't want to argue with her.
I smiled lightly and reached for the door. "Miss Lin, please leave."
Lin Yiran clung to the door and refused to go.
I sighed. "Lin Yiran, what else do you want?"
Lin Yiran stared into my eyes. "Unless you let me see with my own eyes that you really don't love me anymore."
I tugged at the corner of my mouth. "If I say I don't love you anymore, would you believe it?"
Lin Yiran shook her head. "No."
I felt helpless. "Then do as you wish."
I turned and walked toward the room, intending to pack up all of my mother's belongings.
Lin Yiran followed me inside.
Seeing me packing my things, she suddenly went crazy and pushed me away.
"Jiang Hai!"
"Are you seeing another woman outside?"
I frowned, "What are you talking about?"
Lin Yiran's eyes were red, "Have you fallen in love with someone else?"
"Is it that Wang Huan or Liu Ping?"
"What do they have that I don't?"
"I am the one who loves you the most in this world!"
"Tell me, which vixen is seducing you? I want to tear her apart!"
I couldn't be bothered to respond to her and continued packing.
Lin Yiran directly threw the suit she was holding onto the bed.
"Jiang Hai, I'm giving you ten minutes."
"You need to change into that suit right now and marry me."
I scoffed, "Lin Yiran, can you stop being crazy?"
"I told you, we are done."
Lin Yiran pointed at me and said sternly, "Jiang Hai, are you going to change or not?"
"No."
Lin Yiran was furious.
She started pacing around the room, smashing everything she could find.
"Jiang Hai, if you don't marry me, you won't get a single cent."
"If you don't get a single cent, how will you pay for that old hag's treatment?"
"Your mother's life is in your hands; do you want to watch her die?"
"Fine, even if you don't care about her life or death, what about your mother's belongings? Don't you want them anymore?"
I suddenly looked up. "What did you say?"
Lin Yiran opened the cabinet and took out a bag.
"Where did this come from?"
"Jiang Hai, you actually used my money to support a mistress?"
"Do you still dare to accept her things?"
"I'm telling you, those women are only after your money; do you really think they like you?"
I glared at her. "Lin Yiran, put that down."
Lin Yiran dumped everything out of the bag. Inside were a few of my mother's clothes and some jewelry.
Lin Yiran picked up one of the jade bracelets and smashed it on the ground.
My mind went blank as I rushed over to push Lin Yiran away and then knelt down to look for the bracelet. But it was too late.
The bracelet had shattered into several pieces.
This was the only thing my mother left in this world that I could hold onto.
