Xie Annan has been fed for more than a week and can now walk on the ground. Its body seems to have returned to normal, but its eyes are still red, and its fur has become thicker. A layer of black and hard fluff has also grown on its back. 0

This is obviously a hormonal imbalance in the body. I don't know if it's the virus in that mouse, or if the doctor gave me some fake medicine that day. 0

Xie Annan muttered to himself, knowing that he needed to make some money to go to a regular large hospital for a check-up. His former self was always too weak, sneaking and stealing every night just to get by. Although it was safer, he lived a miserable life, just like the rats in the sewer. 0

He had been calculating all night, sitting on the bed waiting for the big rat to bring food. 0

Before long, there was a commotion on the balcony, and Xie Annan turned on the lights. But this time, the big rat brought a newspaper, without any milk or cookies. 0

"Newspaper, what are you giving me this for?" Xie Annan looked at it. 0

The mouse poked its head out and nudged a spot on the newspaper, Xie Annan picked up the newspaper and saw an appraisal of a local tycoon's mansion. 0

Xie Annan Understood the mouse's meaning and said, "Do you know if there's anything valuable in this villa?" The mouse retched, shrank back, and spat out a silver key covered in transparent mucus. 0

"What's this, the key to that villa?" Xie Annan Disgusted, she frowned and picked it up with a tissue to examine. From the structure of the key teeth, it didn't look like a key for a main door, but more like one used for a secret room or an old-fashioned box. 0

Xie Annan He squeezed the key hard and muttered, "There must be something very valuable here." The mouse jumped onto the newspaper again, clearly pointing to the address of the villa. Xie Annan made him even more certain of this idea. He immediately took out the long-unused burglary tools and decided to pull off a big job. 0

On the second day, he got up early, took several buses, and walked several kilometers before reaching the vicinity of the European-style villa. 0

This area was already considered remote, with rows of cypress trees along the road and few buildings around. Next to the villa, there was an artificial lake. 0

Xie Annan I found a fishing rod and pretended to fish by the lake, observing that villa. 0

He stared for a full seven days and found that there was only an elderly butler in the villa, along with a Rottweiler. The owner of the villa is a middle-aged man who only came back once during that time. 0

"Probably another frequent traveler." Xie Annan Throwing away the fishing rod, he stood up and decided to take action tonight. 0

December 0

The moon was covered by thick dark clouds, and insects chirped all around. 0

A figure in black clothing at Xie Annan glanced at his watch. It was already half past one in the morning. He put on a black hood and stealthily made his way to the wall of the villa. 0

He threw up a grappling hook, grabbed the rope, and with a push of his foot, he flipped over the wall. The empty front yard only had a Rottweiler, lying asleep next to its kennel. 0

For safety's sake, Xie Annan took out a piece of raw meat coated with a sedative from the backpack and threw it over. The meat hit near the tail of the Rottweiler. Xie Annan held their breath and lay still on the wall. 0

The raw meat was seasoned with flavoring. The Rottweiler woke up shortly after and sniffed around before biting into the meat and chewing vigorously. 0

Xie Annan As he watched the Rottweiler finish the meat, he suddenly noticed a green bamboo snake had crawled up to his feet and was making its way up his leg. He turned his head and was so scared that he almost screamed. He quickly kicked his leg, but lost his balance and fell with a muffled thud. 0

The Rottweiler roared and charged forward. Xie Annan panicked, rolled and dodged to the side. As he looked up, the Rottweiler instantly pounced in front of him, opening its mouth to bite at his neck. Xie Annan was shocked and instinctively raised his hand to protect his head. After a moment of stillness, he slowly opened his eyes to see the Rottweiler fainting. 0

"Damn, scared the hell out of me." Xie Annan Pushing the dog away, he collapsed to the ground and took a deep breath. 0

He got up cautiously and walked towards the front door of the villa. The door was made of brass, but the lock was an old-fashioned latch. He inserted a curved plastic sheet into the door crack and with a pull, the door creaked open. 0

The hall inside is estimated to be around 100 square meters. The ceiling is adorned with crystal chandeliers. In the dim light, one can vaguely see many antique vases placed around. Xie Annan sighed inwardly, feeling the vases, taller than oneself, and marveling at the world of the wealthy, which seems so out of reach. Making a deal here is better than stealing for ten years in those slums. 0

Xie Annan took the silver key and murmured to himself, "What does this key, brought by that mouse, open?" 0

Just as I was thinking about where to go, I heard a squeaking sound under my feet. I looked down and found that the big rat had also come to this place. 0

"You really are a damn rat spirit," muttered Xie Annan. 0

The mouse turned around and jumped to the stairs, indicating Xie Annan to follow. The two of them made their way up to the second floor in the dark. The mouse led Xie Annan around two corridors and into a study. 0

Xie Annan turned on a mini flashlight and saw two leather sofas, a black wooden desk, and a row of bookshelves filled with books in the study. 0

The mouse stopped on the carpet under the desk, and Xie Annan realized that something was there. It hurried to lift the carpet, shone a flashlight, and indeed found a keyhole on the floor. 0
