Rao Jie felt her mind was in chaos. She had a lot to say on behalf of Wu Rong, wanting to defend him, but she was so nervous that she didn't know what to say and could only pour out everything impulsively. 0

"Unfair? You can only see how your professors are from your perspective. Have you ever witnessed the research process of Professor Wu? How do you know he hasn't put in enough effort?" 0

"Who among you has managed to go for weeks on end, sleeping less than four hours a day?" 0

"Have any of you used so much draft paper that it could bury you?" 0

"Have any of you pushed yourselves to the point of fever and fainting just to reach a conclusion and ended up in the hospital?" 0

"You all comfortably write reports in a cozy environment, with a bunch of graduate students assisting you. Strictly speaking, those reports can't even be considered as written by one person. Is this the kind of effort you think is worth boasting about? Don't just judge based on age; if you have opinions, prove your worth by achieving the same results before criticizing others." 0

"Do you really need to feel superior by belittling those who clearly work harder and achieve more in research but are younger than you? As an outsider, I don't understand how your mathematics academic community determines a person's contribution to the Mathematics Community." 0

Rao Jie’s series of questions, though chaotic, left the old professors red-faced and almost gasping for breath. A few graduate students were also dumbfounded. Long Yong stared at Rao Jie in amazement; this completely different version of Rao Jie was enchanting in his eyes. Unfortunately, this side of Rao Jie wasn't appearing for him. 0

Suddenly, a round of applause broke the heavy atmosphere. Everyone turned to look and gasped; the old professors looked grim, and the graduate students stiffened. Wu Rong and Ye Ming were standing not far away, watching them! 0

They had been so caught up in their argument that no one noticed them there. The one clapping was Ye Ming. 0

Ye Ming smiled brightly, walking forward slowly like a smiling tiger. Ignoring the professors' unpleasant expressions, he spoke as if explaining something to Rao Jie: "Our Mathematics Community doesn't operate on seniority. Mathematics! Ignorance is original sin! High intelligence is merely a threshold; only under equal starting conditions can we discuss how much time and effort is invested." 0

At this point, Ye Ming pretended to look around dramatically. "Unfortunately, no one here can stand at the same high starting point as Professor Wu. In the same research direction, some people take years to grasp concepts while Professor Wu can reach conclusions in just a month—that's an IQ advantage." 0

He then patted the dazed Rao Jie on the shoulder, offering his wisdom. "One must accept their fate; some people are naturally suited for certain things—it's determined by fate. Envy and jealousy are useless; being condescending based on age is the biggest joke in our world. Do you understand?" 0

Rao Jie nodded in astonishment, looking somewhat lost as she glanced back at Wu Rong. 0
Wu Rong's expression was emotionless, neither happy nor angry, but her eyes were fixed on Rao Jie with an intense gaze that seemed capable of capturing one's soul. 0

Rao Jie felt increasingly uneasy, wondering if she had acted impulsively, if she had made a mistake, or if she had caused trouble for Wu Rong. She couldn't help but lower her head, resembling a child who had done something wrong. 0
