This ghost girl, why did she suddenly ask such a question? In Qinglan's heart, she always believed that the bond between her and An Shaojie was due to their childhood friendship, which created a deep connection. 0

However, this connection was different from romantic love. So when Simple asked her this out of the blue, she was somewhat taken aback. 0

"You're just pretending," Simple said. "Since you grew up in the same village together, why do you two never talk?" 0

"How do you know we never talk?" Qinglan retorted. 0

"I can tell," Simple replied. 0

Qinglan scoffed at Simple's answer and said, "Not talking doesn't mean anything." 0

"But your eyes seem to suggest there's something between you," Simple insisted. 0

"Eyes?" 0

In Qinglan's view, An Shaojie's gaze towards her held nothing but disdain and hatred. As for her own gaze, which showed concern for him, she had no idea how it appeared to others. 0

"Oh, by the way, Qinglan, hasn't An Shaojie ever told you how to contact Lin Xi?" Simple suddenly changed the subject to Lin Xi. 0

"Lin Xi? What contact information?" Qinglan asked in confusion. 0

"Looks like he really didn't tell you. I guessed right; you two really don't talk," Simple smirked. 0

Qinglan excitedly jumped off the bed, grabbed Simple's arm, and urgently said, "Do you have Lin Xi's contact information? Hurry up and tell me." 0

Who would have thought that Simple shrugged and replied, "It won't help to tell you now. I only have her school's contact information, and since she has graduated, I can't reach her." 0

"That's okay, just give it to me." Qinglan insisted, "Aren't we supposed to go back to school in a few days to fill out applications? I'll write her a letter now. Maybe when she comes back to school to fill out her application, my letter will arrive at their school, and she can receive it." 0

Qinglan hurriedly pulled out a pen and paper from her backpack and placed them in front of Simple, urging her to write down Lin Xi's school's address. 0

"Ah, I really don't know what to do with you. I've known you for so long, yet I've never seen you so anxious about getting Lin Xi's contact information. You clearly know I know Lin Xi, but you've never asked about her before. Why are you suddenly so eager now? Who knows if anyone is on duty at their school's mailroom during the break!" 0

"It doesn't matter," Qinglan said excitedly. 0

Then she walked over to the desk and began writing a letter to Lin Xi. However, after writing one page, she crumpled it up; then wrote another page, only to crumple it up again. 0

Simple was lying on the bed reading. Seeing Qinglan in such a state of emotion, she shook her head helplessly and said, "What exactly is going on between you, Lin Xi, and An Shaojie? Lin Xi is your childhood friend; is it really that hard to write a letter? Just write whatever you want; it's not a confession letter. Look at how nervous you are." 0

Qinglan turned around and glared fiercely at Simple, saying, "What do you know!" 0

Finally, by the time Simple had slumped sideways on the bed and fallen into a deep sleep, Qinglan was still struggling with that letter under the light. In the end, whether she completed that letter remained unknown. The next morning when Simple woke up, she had completely forgotten about it and didn't ask Qinglan. 0

After breakfast the next morning, Qinglan said goodbye to Simple's family as she prepared to head to the station. 0

"I'll take you to the station," Jian Ming suddenly spoke up after Qinglan had been at Simple's house for a while without saying much. 0

Qinglan sensitively glanced at Simple and her mother. 0

"It's fine, you have so much to carry, let him help you," Simple's Mom said. 0

Qinglan thought Jian Ming would ask her about Shaw Min on the way, but to her surprise, he remained silent the entire time. 0

When they arrived at the station, Qinglan was taken aback to find An Shaojie there as well, and they were on the same train. 0

"Brother Shaojie." Although she knew An Shaojie would likely ignore her, Qinglan still instinctively approached him to call out. 0

An Shaojie glanced at her indifferently. As Qinglan expected, he did not respond but shifted his gaze to Jian Ming beside her and quickly sized him up. 0

"An Shaojie? Is he An Shaojie?" Jian Ming, who had been silent, suddenly turned to Qinglan and asked. 0

Qinglan nodded at Jian Ming. 0

Jian Ming immediately walked up to An Shaojie, extended his hand, and introduced himself: "Hello, I'm Jian Ming, Simple's brother. I’m a classmate of your sister An Shaomin. I visited your home last summer but didn’t meet you or your sister." 0

An Shaojie stared at him blankly, saying nothing and not extending his hand. 0

"What's wrong?" Seeing An Shaojie's indifferent look, Jian Ming felt puzzled and turned to Qinglan, giving her a pleading look for help. 0

"Oh, Jian Ming, we just finished our college entrance exams. I heard many students experience post-exam syndrome; Brother Shaojie might be feeling a bit of that too," Qinglan explained to Jian Ming while looking at An Shaojie. 0

However, Jian Ming seemed not to believe Qinglan's words. He looked at An Shaojie in confusion and noticed a cold glint in his deep-set eyes. An Shaojie glanced up at him coldly and then shot a fierce glare at Qinglan before turning around and walking away alone. 0

Jian Ming stood there in a daze. 0

Little did Jian Ming and Qinglan know that when Jian Ming extended his hand with a smile to introduce himself and his Sister classmate to An Shaojie, An Shaojie interpreted Jian Ming's actions as a mockery towards him and his Sister. He thought Jian Ming must have already known about Shaw Min and assumed that Qinglan had told him, which explained his reaction. 0

"Jian Ming, you should go back. I need to enter the station soon. Thank you," Qinglan said from behind Jian Ming. 0

Jian Ming turned to look at Qinglan. "Oh." However, he did not move his feet. 0

"Qinglan." After a few minutes, Jian Ming slowly asked, "Do you know why An Shaomin didn't take the college entrance exam?" 0

Oh, this question was probably what Jian Ming had been wanting to ask since last night but hadn't had the chance to. 0

Qinglan took a deep breath. Although she subconsciously sensed that Jian Ming might ask her this question, when he actually did, she found herself unable to face it or come up with an excuse to avoid it. 0

"Are you very concerned about this issue?" Qinglan wouldn't lie or tell the truth, so she could only turn the question back on him passively. 0

Jian Ming was taken aback; he hadn't expected this seemingly quiet and delicate girl who didn't like to talk to respond so quickly and eloquently. 0

"Oh, just asking," Jian Ming said awkwardly. "Oh, that's good." Qinglan adjusted the large bag she had placed at her feet and continued, "Jian Ming, thank you so much for seeing me off. It's time for me to enter the station and board the train. Also, I want to tell you that Sister Shaomin is a really great girl. If you like her, pursue her boldly without worrying about anything else." With that, Qinglan waved goodbye to Jian Ming and turned toward the entrance. 0
