"It’s just that you didn’t get elected as the class monitor and are still fixated on that position." After saying this, An Shaojie turned and left, just as he usually did. 0

Qinglan and Xu Wen stood by the roadside for a long time, until a classmate came over to greet them. They exchanged a helpless smile and headed back to the dormitory. 0

By the end of the month, the first issue of the Class Newsletter was released on schedule without An Shaojie's involvement. Each student received a copy, and when the others got their hands on it, they were all amazed. Although it had many flaws, they could finally see the results. Especially those who had submitted works felt a sense of pride and satisfaction seeing their creations shared with the entire class. 0

After the Class Newsletter was published, Xu Wen organized another class meeting to discuss feedback and improvement suggestions for the already released newsletter. 0

During the meeting, An Shaojie sharply criticized that the themes and content of the Class Newsletter lacked positivity, filled instead with pointless poetry and essays. 0

"Especially this poem 'Gaze Into Your Eyes,' it’s simply pretentious and lacks any emotional depth. Honestly, it feels very awkward to read," An Shaojie said indignantly while pointing at the newsletter spread out in front of him. 0

That poem was written by Xu Wen, and everyone in class knew it was dedicated to Qinglan because Xu Wen had openly praised Qinglan's large, beautiful black eyes more than once in class, which made people's hearts flutter. 0

Those listening all lowered their heads and chuckled quietly. 0

That day, Qinglan was attending a meeting at the college, so she missed this awkward scene. 0

Others expected Xu Wen to argue back, but surprisingly, he remained calm and collected. He picked up a pen and seriously noted down An Shaojie's comments, saying that he would try to avoid such articles in the next Class Newsletter. 0

An Shaojie, who initially wanted to make things difficult for Xu Wen, suddenly fell silent, sitting in the corner of the last row of the classroom without saying a word. 0

Subsequently, each issue of the Class Newsletter continued to be published on time. Several class activities were organized along with other tasks, and An Shaojie no longer opposed Qinglan. 0

Once October passed, winter arrived in Beijing. 0

Around nine-thirty in the evening, just as Qinglan stepped out of the library, a cold breeze swept by. She shrank her neck and pulled up the collar of her turtleneck sweater, but a chill still stubbornly crept into her neck. 0

Wrapping her checkered scarf around her neck once more, she hugged the books tightly to her chest and walked down the small path leading to the dormitory. 0

Earlier today, around six o'clock during dinner in the cafeteria, she suddenly received a notice from Senior Sister that there would be an impromptu meeting of the student council at six-thirty in the student activity room. After dinner, Qinglan didn’t have time to return to her dorm before heading straight to the meeting. After it ended, she went directly to the library, where she had arranged to meet Hu Jiao'er. Hu Jiao'er needed to look up some information she didn't know how to find and was waiting for Qinglan to teach her how to use the electronic database. 0

After finishing her research in the library, Hu Jiao'er returned to the dormitory, leaving Qinglan alone to read. Little did she know that when she stepped outside, the weather had suddenly turned so cold. 0

Moreover, the wind outside was particularly strong. 0

With her head down and body hunched against the wind, Qinglan hurried forward, almost jogging. 0

"Don't be so pretentious. What do you mean by always listening to my opinions? You're just flattering me; your only goal is to ensure every event passes so you can take the opportunity to interact with someone," a deep yet powerful voice floated over. 0

"An Shaojie, why do you always have this attitude? How are we supposed to collaborate on our work in the future?" Another voice, gentle yet magnetic but equally firm, drifted into Qinglan's ears. 0

Qinglan paused in her steps. 0

She looked toward two tall figures under a nearby utility pole on her left. The dim yellow light from the pole flickered through the dense leaves of a Camphor Tree, casting fragmented glimmers on their faces and shoulders. 0

"You don't need to collaborate with me; you just need to work well with her, right?" An Shaojie said with a cold smirk. 0

"An Shaojie, you..." Xu Wen turned his face away in exasperation. 0

"Hey, Qinglan!" His gaze landed squarely on Qinglan. 0

He called out and ran towards Qinglan, not bothering to greet An Shaojie. 0

Qinglan looked across the street at An Shaojie. 0

An Shaojie, however, turned his face away. 0

"Why are you dressed so lightly?" The reproachful tone carried concern and affection as he hurriedly took off his coat and draped it over Qinglan. 0

"Of course, it's all for her!" An Shaojie sneered coldly, a hint of disdain curling at the corners of his mouth as he turned to leave. 0

Watching him gradually disappear into the darkness felt like an eternity! 0

Well, since I have waited for twenty years, accompanying you through all the hardships for twenty years, never receiving even a brief pause from you or an occasional glance back, then... 0

"Put it on quickly!" Xu Wen's gentle reprimand pulled Qinglan's attention back. 0

Alright, Qinglan obediently listened and put on the warm coat draped over her. 0

Standing in front of Xu Wen, she allowed him to carefully zip it up for her. 0

At that moment, tears welled up in Qinglan's eyes! 0

She had never been in love, never knowing the beautiful feeling of being cherished and cared for. Even the sound of scolding felt so warm, capable of melting her cold heart in an instant. 0

Xu Wen always accompanied her to the entrance of the Girls' Dormitory. 0

At the dormitory entrance, a couple was reluctant to part. 0

"I'll wait for you here tomorrow morning to have breakfast together," Xu Wen suddenly said, not asking but stating it firmly. 0

Biting her lip and lowering her head, Qinglan did not refuse nor accept the information. She dared not look into Xu Wen's eyes and hurriedly ran into the dormitory building, feeling flustered. 0

As she walked to the cafeteria, a sudden cold wind swept through, lifting a few yellowed leaves from the ground and forming a whirlpool that spun down to Qinglan's ankles before being whisked away by another gust of wind, stirring up tiny specks of dust. 0

She had just encountered a senior on the way who needed to speak with Xu Wen, so she went ahead to the cafeteria alone to reserve a seat. 0

For the past few days, Xu Wen had been waiting for Qinglan in front of her dormitory every day, going to the cafeteria together for meals, attending classes together, studying in the classroom together, and reading in the library together. 0

Without Xu Wen by her side, Qinglan felt somewhat lonely and desolate. 0

She kicked a stone on the roadside with her toes. 0

In front of her walked a couple embracing each other. The girl nestled in the boy's arms, whispering sweetly. Though she couldn't hear their words clearly, she could occasionally catch the girl's sweet giggles. When love suddenly arrives, did they ever hesitate? Did they waver or feel anxious? Qinglan boldly stared at their backs, imagining without shyly averting her gaze. 0
