When An Shaojie woke up in the early morning, Xu Wen was not in the hospital room. 0

The doctor had come in several times and said that An Shaojie was fine, estimating that he would wake up around four or five in the morning. It was best to give him some thin porridge when he woke up. 0

As it approached four o'clock, Qinglan noticed that dawn was breaking and instructed Xu Wen to go home and cook some porridge. 0

So when An Shaojie woke up, only Qinglan was in the hospital room. 0

"Where is this?" Looking at the bare white walls, An Shaojie tried to recall what had happened yesterday but couldn't remember. He tapped the back of his head in confusion and asked Qinglan. 0

"The hospital," Qinglan replied. 0

"The hospital?" An Shaojie fell back into his memories. "How did I end up in the hospital?" 0

"You got drunk yesterday afternoon," Qinglan said. 0

He seemed to recall what had happened yesterday, lowered his head for a moment, and asked, "How did you end up here?" 0

"It was Xu Wen and I who brought you here," Qinglan said as she stood up to pour a glass of water for An Shaojie and placed it on the bedside table. 0

Upon hearing Xu Wen's name, An Shaojie fell silent, his expression darkening as he turned over to face the wall. 0

"I sent Xu Wen home to make you some porridge. The doctor said it would be better for you to eat some when you wake up. The doctor kept telling me to go rest because you were fine, but I was worried that you would feel lonely waking up in the middle of the night without anyone around, so I stayed here with you," Qinglan said, her voice tinged with an unrecognized sense of grievance and a slight tremor. 0

Facing the wall, An Shaojie felt a greater sense of grievance welling up inside him after hearing Qinglan's words. Perhaps it was because her concern about him feeling lonely struck a nerve; his eyes became moist, and a tear fell onto the pillow. 0

Because when he first woke up and saw the empty white walls of the room, a strong sense of loneliness had washed over him, engulfing him. He thought he had arrived in the Underworld until he saw Qinglan sitting beside him. It was as if he were someone crossing the Naihe Bridge who suddenly turned around and spotted a familiar face from the World of the Living; she pulled him back from the brink. 0

"Drink some water; the doctor said you should drink more," Qinglan's voice had taken on a slightly tearful tone due to her grievance or perhaps her concern for him. 0

Suddenly, he turned around and sat up, glaring at Qinglan with tear-filled eyes. 0

"What's wrong? An Shaojie." 0

Before the word "brother" could be fully uttered, Qinglan found herself roughly pulled into An Shaojie's embrace, his lips already sealing hers. 0

He held her down, his lips pressing against hers urgently and impatiently. One hand gripped her head as he kissed her wildly and frantically, not pausing for breath as he eagerly sucked on her lips. Then, without hesitation, he pried open Qinglan's tightly closed and uncooperative lips with his teeth, his tongue swiftly invading her mouth, stirring her tongue while forcefully sucking on it. 0

Qinglan was gasping for air, making soft "uh uh uh" sounds as she struggled in his arms. However, she was no match for him; the more she fought, the tighter he held her. She could hear his heart racing, and her own heart was pounding wildly in sync with his. Their chests pressed together and pulled apart in a rhythm, drawing closer and then away again. 0

His teeth began to bite down hard on Qinglan's tongue and lips. She was already overwhelmed by the strong scent of alcohol that had escaped from his mouth; she could no longer detect the taste of alcohol but only felt the heat that dried her tongue and a tingling pleasure coursing through her. 0

Her mind spun as she instinctively moved closer to him, wanting him to hold her tighter. Her resisting hands had stopped struggling, and the "uh uh uh" sounds had turned into faint "mm mm mm" noises. 0

She began to close her eyes and enjoy the tingling pleasure he brought her, even starting to suck on his tongue and lips in return, matching his frantic movements. 0

After a storm of passion, his kiss gradually softened. His tongue explored deeper into her mouth little by little, licking gently. At some point, his other hand had slipped under Qinglan's thin sweater, fingers probing further inward. 0

Suddenly jolted awake by an unexpected wave of desire, Qinglan's hands that had stopped struggling suddenly touched his wandering hand inside her clothes. 0

With a sudden burst of strength, she pushed him away and also shoved his restless hand aside. She jumped out of his embrace and sat back down on the chair beside the bed. 0

He stared at Qinglan. She lowered her head to look at the floor, her face flushed, breathing rapidly, heart racing in a panic, with her hair slightly disheveled. 0

The door opened. 0

Xu Wen walked in carrying a bucket of porridge. 0

As soon as he entered the room, he seemed to sense that something was off; there was a heated air flowing through the space, filled with a suffocating ambiguity. 0

He stood two meters inside the doorway, watching Qinglan. 0

Qinglan lowered her head even further, not daring to look up at him. 0

His gaze shifted to An Shaojie sitting on the bed. 0

An Shaojie did not meet his eyes, instead lying down with his face turned towards the wall. 0

Taking the opportunity while Xu Wen was looking at An Shaojie, Qinglan tidied her hair and clothes, stood up, and said, "Ahem, you're here." Her tone suddenly became much more distant and polite. 0

"Mm." Xu Wen withdrew his gaze, nodded, and walked to the bedside, placing the porridge on the nightstand and taking out the bowl, chopsticks, and dishes one by one. 0

Qinglan came over to help, but instead of speaking in his usual affectionate and caring tone, saying, "You sit still; I'll do it," he adopted a stance and tone that pushed her away. "I'll do it." 0

Qinglan stopped her outstretched hand and smiled awkwardly, saying, "Thank you for your trouble." 0

"It's no trouble." Xu Wen replied coldly. 0

With his back facing them, An Shaojie listened to their exchange filled with tension and couldn't help but smile with a mix of excitement and sarcasm. 0

Since she was not needed to help, Qinglan found an excuse to step outside. When she returned, An Shaojie had already finished his porridge, and Xu Wen was sitting in the spot where Qinglan had been earlier, having breakfast while quietly chatting with An Shaojie, both of them smiling. 0

After Qinglan entered, Xu Wen handed her another portion of breakfast, saying, "You should have breakfast too! After you finish eating, go back and rest. I'll take care of the discharge procedures when the doctor comes in." Qinglan silently finished her breakfast before returning to her dorm. When she got back to the dormitory, Liuying and the others were still asleep, so Qinglan quietly lay down. 0
